Good location for a beauty store. There aren't many in this area. The store is generally clean and looks welcoming. That's where the good ends for me. Unfortunately, there's rarely a person on the floor to help with anything and they usually have parts of product lines but not popular ones. The line is always long and the people behind the counter are usually chatting with one another. If you arent in a time crunch I would say go across the bridge to Cherry Hill Sephora or Ulta or Willow Grove Sephora. read more

Believe it or not, the MANAGER of the salon did the "before" photos of my hair. Yeah, you read that correctly. The ONLY reason this is getting 3 stars is because of the Elite Stylist at this location- Mary. She saved my hair and talked me in to coming in to get it fixed. I initially went in and told the manager of the salon how ugly I've been feeling since my first baby, and that my hair is patchy from previous box dye. "I'm not sure if I'll need a color correction?" I said. she proceed to put 30 volume from root to ends, didn't make enough so she had to pause and make more. Leaving the top of my head frying, while the ends we're dry. There is no way she didn't see how bad it was once she was blowing my hair out. Countless opportunities to say "you know what, this didn't come out right. Please come back ____ so we can go this right" Nope. Just took the 20% tip and sent me on my way. The manager of any salon should be the creme of the crop. Every stylist in that salon should be able to depend on their manager for guidance, and I will tell you right now, she might be good at managing but has years of work to do with coloring. Despite the redo being EXCEPTIONAL (THANK YOU MARY!!!) I will be demanding a refund from ulta as a company. Aside from the initial experience, I had to find last minute child care to get it fixed and I had to follow up on my initial experience every single time with ulta. Not once did a manager, general manager or district reach out on their own as promised. I'm out more money than I would've been if the manager did it right the first time. Just unacceptable. I want to share my experience with this location, as I've consistently ordered online and picked up in-store from various Ulta locations without any issues until I visited the Horsham, PA location. On September 4, 2025, I ordered Beyoncé's Cécred hair serum and oil online for in-store pickup, as it was more convenient for my job. At the time of ordering, they only had the oil available and planned to ship the serum. Since I specifically needed the serum, which I had used before with great results, I decided to cancel the oil order. When I arrived at the store, I spoke with the cashier, a light-skinned girl, and requested that she cancel the order. She called the manager, who confirmed that the cancellation should be processed. I left the store believing my order was canceled. I then placed a new order for the serum and successfully picked it up at the Northeast Philadelphia location without any issues. However, on September 6, 2025, I received an alert from my bank notifying me that I had been charged for the oil, which had been marked as picked up. The next day, I returned to the store and spoke to the manager, who informed me that refunds take five business days and assured me that I would be refunded. Five days passed, and I had not received my refund. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge and returned to the store on September 16, 2025. I spoke with the manager again and requested store credit, but he informed me that was not possible. He mentioned needing to call customer service, but the representative was unhelpful. As of today, September 20, 2025, I still have not received my refund. If you order online and decide to cancel, be sure to monitor your account in the following days. I wouldn't have known about the charge if I hadn't received the alert. read more

Horrible...no one that I associate with or family members said anything nice about my so called cut. I went for a haircut and asked for my hair to be layered and she cut it all one length. I had to ask her to cut my bangs and she cut them, who knows how at the time, because she brushed them back and said is that okay? How would I know. She didn't even cut the top of my hair so I feel I got half a haircut but not layered or all cut. I didn't realize when you get your haircut you have to guide the stylist and tell them all what you want cut. I called the next day which would be almost two weeks ago this coming Wednesday. I was told they would reach out to me within 3 days and nothing. Called again and told the same thing. Still heard nothing. I should have complained when I was there but I didn't want to embarrass the stylist but when I got home and saw my hair was all one length, that did it. I will NEVER go back again. Stylist was horrible and the team that was SUPPOSED to get back to me is also horrible since they don't get back to you. Apparently this stylist gets a lot of complaints and nothing is done. I guess I just got unlucky that day. I was willing to pay for half of a haircut but I guess I will have to pay for the whole, unsatisfied haircut so I don't ruin my credit since I charged it on the ULTA card. You will never get a recommendation for me. Horrible service all around. This doesn't even deserve a one star rating. read more

This review will be based on a service I received here today. Made an appointment for a 60 minute customized facial. I've never gotten a facial before and pricing was reasonable here. My appointment was for 12:15pm. By the time we got started, it was 12:25pm. My esthetician's name was Aaryn. She confirmed I was getting a 60 minute service. I was asked to fill out a form regarding my overall health and skin type. Aaryn made small talk in the beginning and discussed my top 3 skin concerns with me. She descended the chair to the lowest position, told me to get comfortable and put a blanket over top of me. It was cozy. What I didn't like about this experience was that Aaryn didn't go over ANY of the products she used on my face. She could've put anything on my face and I wouldn't know because nothing was said. Another pet peeve was the fact that she kept getting up and walking away. She'd leave me in the chair with the product on my face and go elsewhere. She turned on a machine that released steam and I felt the heat and steam mist onto my cheeks. When she was done the facial, it was 12:59pm. Definitely not 60 minutes... I felt like I got ripped off because she was in a rush to finish the service. One of my concerns was redness in my cheeks. She handed me a mirror to show me the finished look and I felt like I had more redness than I did when I first got there. I asked her about a cool tingling sensation in my face and she explained that it was an exfoliating product she used that could be causing the feeling. Went up to the cashier to pay and Aaryn was nowhere to be found. She didn't go over any aftercare with me and I had to leave her tip in an envelope with another employee. It was kind of unprofessional. 2.5 stars for this subpar service. Probably wouldn't get another facial here, but will still stop by to purchase makeup. read more

At checkout the girl asked if I wanted an Ulta credit card. I said no. She continued rambling and over talking me trying to sell me credit cards (for HER benefit) When she finally stopped both she and the other girl at the registers got very nasty. As I was leaving the one girl said "have a good day" in a very sarcastic manner. She also claimed it's their job to push the credit cards even after I declined. I'm the customer. NO means NO. My haircut earlier this week was really odd. Paid for the haircut with deep conditioning, unknown if that even happened? I don't think it did & my stylist said nothing about the products she was using so I don't know. Beyond that, when I got there, my hair was very very thoroughly brushed out, cut dry, washed, completely blow dried & straightened and then trimmed again. I've never had my hair cut dry and there's tiny pieces of hair seemingly all over me, even though I had a gown over. When I went to pay, the coupon I got - from ulta, that should work (it was my fist time at the salon, it's not expired and the service was one that was allowed) didn't scan and I wasn't really told why. The haircut isn't that good, is shorter than I wanted & I paid $75 with tip. Really bummed. read more

This is perhaps my favorite Ulta location probably because it is the first Ulta I have really ever gone to. I used to go to this location way back, before they moved, and were situated closer to Willow Grove in the shopping center with Barnes and Noble. I was disappointed when they moved here but I have since gotten use to this location and enjoy it. It's king of hit or miss though with the drug store brands I like and whether they're in stock or not. The people who work here are very nice and for a long time, up until recently, I'd see the same faces which was nice. I have never used the salon here so I have no opinion of that. I normally come here and am able to get everything I need. There is ample parking and I like the location. read more

I used to love this store! It's so close to my house. This last week I was in looking for several items including a curling iron. I wasn't sure what to buy and was looking for assistance. I wandered around the aisles for about 10 minutes and nobody approached me. There were three people at the salon. Two had customers and the third was doing what looked like stock work. When I finally got tired of being ignored and asked for help one of them said she would be right with me. I waited for a few more minutes then walked away. I wandered around the makeup aisle and had some questions but again no one approached me. I picked up some items I think might work and went back to look at the curling irons(I'm a glutton for punishment) After asking a girl who was on the phone for help she begrudgingly came over and asked me what I was looking for. I told her I needed recommendations and advice how to use it. When I told her that I didn't care about the price she became more interested. I took my items to the counter and the girl there was more interested in signing me up for a credit card then asking if I found what I was looking for. I won't be back there! It's a pity because they lost a large sale because I usually spend $200-$300 dollars when I go. Their loss. I'll go to Warrington. I had an appointment with Jessica and it took nearly three hours to cut my hair unevenly and add some highlights. This haircut is what makes me so mad BC it is shorter than we agreed to. And it is completely lopsided and not in a modern way. When I tried to tell her after the three hours I was so frustrated she needed that long in the first place that I said something quietly and she couldn't even see what I was talking about. This is the worst haircut I have ever received I really did not want to pay but I did anyway. I went back to the salon the next morning and Tanya the manager was a lifesaver. I really like Ulta. Used to prefer Sephora, but I feel Ulta has better quality products and they almost ALWAYS have a coupon (you have to ask). The ladies at this location are very helpful. The stock is okay. They didn't have the scrub I wanted a few times, so I had to go to the location in North Wales to get it. Had my first hair service at Ulta today, so I figured today would be a great time to review! I booked my appointment online, and chose Tanya as my stylist after seeing so many great reviews here. She was so great! She knew exactly what I was looking for with my color, she was funny and personable, and had my foils done in no time flat! My hair turned out exactly as I had hoped. Ulta isn't cheap, but I will absolutely be back because of the great experience I have also visited the Benefit Brow Bar at Horsham probably 4 or 5 times now, and Melissa always shapes my eyebrows better than anywhere else I've been! I am blonde with almost invisi-brows, so the first time I saw what a difference a good arch can make, I was a very happy camper. Thank you ladies! read more

I first tried Ulta when looking for a place to get a haircut on a Sunday. I think my choices were either here or the Regis in the mall. I was pleasantly surprised by my service at Ulta, and I've been back routinely for a year now. Everyone at the store seems helpful and friendly, and they have a lot of cosmetics, from department-store brands to pharmacy-store brands, and you can almost always bring in a coupon or find a sale. read more

I went into the salon a few days ago for a haircut. I just wanted a trim and explained to the woman working on me some concerns I had. Now, my hair is extremely curly and I was impressed by the techniques she was telling me about styling curly hair. I felt like I was in good hands and was relieved because I have been very unhappy with my hair recently. She washed me hair and then began to trim, and trim, and trim. I had explained to her what parts of the hair I wanted trimmed and I just wanted an inch or two of dead hair off. I went to the Ulta Salon today for a haircut. I haven't had a haircut in about 10 months or so. Mary was my stylist. She was amazing. I was just getting a cut, but she took the time to keep checking and make sure everything was perfect. She made my hair look healthy and full again instead of the scraggly, dead mess I had walking in. She was super sweet and very personable. I read the reviews for the salon and saw some mixed reviews, but she had a couple good reviews so I was hopeful that it would be a good experience and it was. Scheduling was easy. This store has all the products you need, just like Sephora, but at least this place has coupons and sales every week. BUT the Ulta's near me have been notorious for being sneaky and not giving you the sale that they promote when your products are ringed up. My best friend used to go here a lot with me years ago. For example, if she would get a products that was "Buy 1 get 1 free" she would be charged for both items at ringup. She would either have to correct them at the register, or wouldn't notice until she got home. When I went last week, I decided the $55 hair curler and $30 eyebrow kit I got wasn't what expected, I returned it. I noticed at the register when she was doing the return that the curler scanned at $47 back to me. I told her it was more than $47 when I purchased it last week and she said, "oh, its on sale right now" but then turned to her manager next to her and asked to make sure that I just get the sale price back. Luckily her manager corrected her and said, "no, she gets the full price back if thats what she paid, sale or not right now." I don't know if Ulta just prefers girls who don't know what they're doing, or maybe someone at these locations isn't registering all the sales into their computer prior to advertising the sales. Another thing is that the customer service and help is almost non-existent. An associate applying makeup to a customers face was approached by another woman who asked for help in finding a product. The associate said she would help her after she was done doing the makeup for this other woman, but when the customer asked a different question nicely, the associate rudely said, "I said I'll help when I'm done here" Very rude and very unprofessional. There also was no one else to help this woman. I don't know if Ulta is understaffed or that their associates jsut like to crowd in a corner and chat for $8 an hour. I mean, that's what they're suppsoed to do, right? I was very frustrated by my two trips here and won't be back unless this is my last resort. I found the hair curler for $20 cheaper on Amazon. I think I will stick with Sephora, as I am never ignored or jipped of money there. read more

I'm typically not a huge ULTA fan, but I was in search of a O.P.I polish... I'm giving this place 4 stars for holding a pretty nice selection of O.P.I colors and they had Paz-itively Hot in stock!!! Which was awesome, they have a pretty large selection of benefit cosmetics as well. The only down side to shopping in these types of beauty stores is, there are always teenagers in there trying on the 10 dollar nail polishes that are NOT samples... so your left with buying a used product eh... read more

I was in on June 4, 2019. The "sales" associates are so rude and unhelpful. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in a workplace setting before. When you ask for assistance they act as if your are bothering them! They also are not as knowledgeable about their products as their competitors. Even if you don't know every product, if a customer asks you then you say "I am not sure but let me find someone else who can better assist you". Not just asked annoyed that I asked them a question and huff away. Will be only shopping at Sephora/Target from now on and I highly suggest that anyone considering shopping here do the same! read more
