I had a amazing experience. I had to attempt to dye my own hair one color but my hair is so stubborn it didn't take. And i really didnt wanna spend 8 hours in a salon either. That was one of the reasons I didnt want to go. Cutting crew was recommended by one of my former co workers. So I decided to give it a try. I went in on a Saturday to fix it but they didn't have anybody available but they squeezed me in for Sunday which was prefect. I was so glad I didn't have to wait a week for an appointment. I usually spend an arm and a leg and a whole day to 2 days to get my hair done but I wasn't in there that long and the price was very resonable. They were all so friendly. read more

Me and my friend walk in at 6:50pm on a Wednesday and there are two employees behind the counter and when I walk in, they tell me that they are closed. However it says they're open online and their storefront sign says open as well. read more

So, I went there today to have my hair curled and I liked what she did, went to pay and then another stylist told me in front of everyone else in the salon that I should have payed more because I had long hair. This is my second time at cutting crew and my expience was awful. I was recommended by a woman from the neighborhood, with a cute haircut. The first haircut I recieved a month ago was awesome, really short and shaved on the side. When I went back for my next hair cut, no part in my hair, my side burns half gone and my hairline messed up. I also had my eyebrows waxed and the woman waxed them too thin. If the women in the salon got off the phone to make appointments.. they would have done a half decent job. I went back the next day to have the woman fix what's left of my hair.... i waited and hour and a half. I should have known that was a bad idea. We arrived, signed in on the clip board, and waited for a full hour and no staff person even acknowledged our presence. I don't mind the wait when it's busy, but at least say hello! When I politely let them know we were leaving since no one had even talked to us, the stylists I spoke to were explaining they were busy, said they would take my daughter now...I told them in the hour we sat there, several staff had come back and forth to the register near where we were sitting and none even looked at us or said hello. I came with my mother 15 minutes prior to her appt and we were barely welcomed.. the receptionist looked annoyed almost even though the salon was empty for the most part. We were told Kathy would be with us shortly just for her to come by 5 minutes later and say she'd be with us in half an hour..... so what's the point of an appt?? My mom decided not to wait any further after seeing that no one seemed to care for our business. We were offered another hairstylist but we booked an appt for a reason after hearing good reviews about Kathy but she didn't seem to care at all so we definitely won't be returning. Not a single apology either for the inconvenience by any single person after looking forward to this visit. That's just really bad business and I hope this serves as a warning to anyone who thought about coming to this salon. The customer service here is terrible. You won't feel welcomed at all. This was our first and definitely our last visit. read more

My favorite salon in the area. Recommended initially by my mother-in-law who comes in mid-week. I can only make it on the weekends, but it's never been too busy or too long of a wait. Staff is super nice and always gets the cuts right. My son is picky but leaves happy. I like the atmosphere and location. Prices are better than the competitors and chains. read more

Went in to get a color/cut/lip waxed and I am so impressed! My old stylist just couldn't get the cut or color I wanted down, and I lived in fear that I'd never find a stylist to make my hair fantasies come true. I have been going to this salon for the past four years. Dawn, Erika and Jess all give a great haircut..........a haircut you would spend triple the price elsewhere in Huntingdon Valley. They are very pleasant and always listen to what you want. It is a clean salon and although not fancy fulfills my needs for a great cut. I also have facial waxing done there and again very impressive for not a lot of money. I myself don't care about ambiance when visiting a salon. I would give the 5 stars easily! read more

I left this comment on their facebook page a few weeks ago but they deleted it so i came here. I've been coming to see Cathy in spurts for years now because she's affordable, pretty consistent, and close by. The only problem is that I literally hate coming in due to the experience of the salon and it's other employees. I'm basically always looking for another salon to depend on because of how unprofessional it is. The customer service is POOR. Its not very clean. And they also talk on the phone while physically cutting hair which is insane to me. Today I called to make an appointment with Cathy since she told me that they finally took appointments now; which was a relief since sometimes I'd sit in there for hours. Tracy answered the phone and told me she couldn't make an appointment because she couldn't figure out Cathy's schedule and to call back another day. She was extremely rude and this wasnt a surprise, so now I'm left searching for another salon again despite Cathy's services. Will not be coming back. Youre not supposed to leave a salon constantly aggravated. read more
