The only thing to do to get rid of the orange was to strip the color from my hair with strong bleach. My hair became gold. Needless to say a few days later my hair started to thin out and break off. This continued for a few months. The only time the owner got involved was when it was time to close for the evening. Don't go here. I walked out of the salon with hair that looked just as good as the model in one of the photos I brought. With the style Yvy did for me, my hair looks good just getting out of bed in the morning, and if I apply my **very limited** styling ability, it looks fantastic! The owner did a great job, she is very knowledgable and has over 20 years experience. She was able to answer any question I had, she also threw in a free cut to trim my ends. I came back here today to get a set of highlights. It was only $60 for half a head of highlights. She uses quality products and my hair always feels and looks great. I hesitate to poorly review a small business, but if you're looking for a new stylist, I would not…read morerecommend Christianna. I've never been unhappy with my hair until my visit to the Hair Forum. After speaking with Christianna and telling her my goals for my hair are to be as low-maintenance and natural-looking as possible, we decided on a balayage. Be aware that her website lists balayage as $147, but with added fees and whatnot it's $239. This still is around a normal price, so I paid $326 in total for my services. Once I got home and the curls had fallen and I was no longer in front of a bright ring light, I saw my hair was not balayage at all, I was left with chunky 90's highlights, the exact opposite of natural and low-maintenance. To make matters worse, I texted Christianna asking for a partial refund for just the balayage portion of the bill, to which she denied. She offered to fix her mistake, but I didn't feel comfortable with that because she's the one who let me leave the suite looking like that in the first place. All that to say, charging that much for the hair color I received was truly criminal, I'd like to think this was just an off day for Christianna, but I think my hair is proof that her balayage technique needs serious work. For that price I could've paid a trusted professional to do my hair how it should've been done, she should be ashamed she did this to me and won't refund even so much as my tip.

I started with a very relaxing shampoo and condition - because let's face it, hotel shampoo and conditioner are horrible.
