I stopped in tonight for my first time at this Ulta Beauty location and wanted to comment on the amazing customer service. I was looking for a specific brand and shade of eye shadow that has unfortunately been discounted. Several of the staff went out of their way to try to offer suggestions and helpful ideas on other options. I would not recommend this individual store. It does not live up to the companies values and service. I called to make an appointment with the beautician. I wanted a time frame later on in the week, it was not a walk in. They did not know when there would be one available. I was given a lot of excuses. Their solution was to come in and buy their products. On a different occasion I was looking for a particular product and they didn't know if there store even carried it. Aïe Aïe Aïe!!! read more

The only reason i give this business one star is because i cant give 0 or negative stars. I have witnessed the staff make fun of their customers for being too old or too ugly and they speak bad about and to their own employees to the extent that it is abusive and bullying. if you can find the product you need online or at a different store I recommend you do so and not support this kind of behavior. read more

I was here for a family wedding and was so excited to hear GF opened a brand new Ulta. My mood instantly shifted once I walked into the store. First of all, I was not greeted at all. Not even a "Hi welcome into Ulta" at a brand new location which is odd considering you're gonna want to build CR at a new location but whatever. I went in looking for a new foundation for my oily skin that would last all day for the wedding - not once was I asked if I needed any help. I was able to grab Kirsti who mentioned she was the manager of this Ulta - she had no knowledge of consistency/stay power/really anything. I was better off picking a foundation on my own. Ulta - product knowledge is as easy as watching a YouTube video on new and upcoming products. Please educate your staff. For any of you asking, I went with the Estée Lauder double wear foundation. Was able to walk and get a hair appointment. I normally do not do the walk in experience I am very picky about my hair, I am glad I did though. Mandy did a fantastic job on my hair, exactly what I needed, she was able to tell just by looking at my hair that I needed a conditioning treatment and gave me a great cut. This is a great salon that most people don't know about. The other best thing is you can get whatever products you need for your hair or skin there. They also do facials in a private room. I normally love this store, but not so much tonight. Granted I did go in 20 minutes before closing time but 20 minutes is 20 minutes. I was hardly greeted when I walked in and it took forever for an employee to come over to me, even though there wasn't any other customers in the store and the two employees were standing behind the registers. I was shopping for perfume for a gift and when he finally came over, he was naming different perfumes and pointing like I should know exactly what he was talking about and not actually showing me. Then I asked about foundation and he told me he didn't have time to help me because they closed in 15 minutes. I understand wanting to close and leave on time but there was still at least 10-15 minutes he could have helped and I would gladly leave by closing time. When I said I would come back another time or just go somewhere else he got defensive and acted like this was the only place to shop. I've worked in customer service and I know it can be frustrating when people come in late but it's also your job and it's still within business hours and you should still be happy to help people and not show your annoyance or frustration as an employee. I've never walked into an Ulta without a greeting and the offer of assistance until today. I couldn't find anyone to help me. Finally, when I decided to just check out without what I was looking for, the girl at check out was able to answer my question. My real problem with this location is that the testers are a MESS. Mainly the eyeshadows. There is no way to be sure you're seeing or testing the actual color because they are so muddied with fallout from other testers. The girl who checked me out was nice and she was fast. That's the only positive I could give it. read more

Oh my Lord, would leave no stars if possible. I recently vacationed in Great Falls & had left my makeup bag at home; normally I would panic but i mapped that there was a 'trusted' Ulta near by. When arriving in the store I was not welcomed in, instead i was watched like a hawk as if i was stealing every product i walked by, by this bald lady.. I wanna say her name was Kira or Kristy. Something w/ a K. She continued to follow me down the NYX aisle making me feel super uncomfortable (Trust me, I have plenty of $$ to splurge for what I came in for). After selecting an NYX eyebrow pencil , I approached the same lady to ask her to color match me w/ CC cream foundation. Bad idea. I quickly realized she had little to no make up knowledge. Let's just say she had my neck and face two COMPLETELY different colors. She also was very snobby & rude throughout my whole interactions/ checkout with her as if she was too good to talk to me, some customer service huh? During checkout she didn't ask if I wanted to use my points(which I have plenty because I'm always shopping here) & when I asked if I could she said it was "too late" yet I hadn't even swiped my card. I was very shocked my experience here & have never received this kind of treatment from any other locations. read more

I was in Ulta Beauty two days ago prepared to spend a couple hundred dollars on new skincare. I wasn't greeted when I walked in the store and I had to ask a sales person for help after standing around for about 10 minutes (there weren't many people in there, so it wasn't busy). I ended up talking to several sales people and not ONE of them had any clue about products that might work for me. I asked about several Clinique products, in particular, and again....no knowledge about anything in that line from anyone I talked to. I thought Ulta was supposed to be a place you could go for guidance and help with your cosmetic or skincare purchases. Boy, was I wrong. Since Ulta is the only place I can get Clinique locally, now that Herbergers closed, I'm stuck with them. However, expect to pay high prices and get NO help with ANYTHING. read more

Pretty disappointed in my recent shopping experience. I went in knowing exactly what I needed which was a Clinique face powder that I had previously purchased. My husband and I just arrived from going to dinner and I had to use the restroom immediately after entering the store. I asked the associate with the wig if they had a public restroom and she let me know where it was. After coming back out of the bathroom I went over to the Clinique station and couldn't remember my exact shade. I went up to the same associate and asked if she were able to look it up with my card info and she did. I went back over to the Clinique station and she almost escorted me over there which I thought was weird but didn't think anything. she complimented how cute my son was who was in his car seat and I said thanks and it got awkward cause she just continued to stand there. I picked up his seat and walked into the next aisle looking at eyeshadows and she proceeded to tell the other associate to keep an eye on me quietly and then said loudly " yeah, I didn't want to say it out loud" I was instantly so embarrassed. My most recent shopping experience I spent hundreds of dollars which she saw when pulling up my shade and thought I needed to be watched?! I have spent so much money at that store and have never felt like such scum until then. The associate she told to keep an eye on me proceeded to escort me through the entire store "helping me" find my eyebrow powder shade and stayed very close at all times until I was ready to check out. Luckily, I will be moving out of state and will not have to return to that store, but they have instantly lost my business at that location. read more
