After…read moreliving in many large cities, I was skeptical I would find a skilled and experienced stylist in a smaller town for my difficult blonde hair. I couldn't be more wrong, and was so happy to find hair artist Philip Joseph. He has consistently worked with me on my color, color changes and cuts. I hate cutting my hair and rarely do it, but he manages to make you feel secure by talking to you where both of you manage and meet your expectations. He is a creative, professional stylist and knows his line very well. He teaches you about caring for your cut, style and color and spends the time that's needed and you don't feel rushed or pressured into making a hair mistake. For my last appointment, he gave me a beautiful Honey Ice Blonde and finished with a healing oil emergency service treatment to preserve the color and add shine and softness. #Lanzahaircare! Greg was the manager of Access Fitness and I was never talked down to or treated contemptuously by his staff. The Peak staff at the West Bank Landing failed to cancel my membership correctly then charged my account. When I attempted to inform them of the error I was blamed and asked to prove and show my receipt and email it to them. I was additionally mocked for doing all of the above by another member of the staff. I followed the chain of command and was told at every turn it was my error and not theirs. Ultimately I had to talk to my bank after it was made evident they would not take accountability and further the issue up the chain of command. I was aggrieved to be required to go to such lengths because of the attitude and lack of action taken by the staff at multiple levels. Suffice it to say I will not ever be rejoining.

I was delighted to find Studio Montage open one evening when I intended to get dinner at thr neighboring Rib & Chop house. I made my appointment for a Saturday afternoon haircut with Kelsi. Kelsi listened to my tales of bad haircuts so patiently and we had time to talk about the style I wanted--asymmetrical a-line, and even showed her some previous good haircuts I had. At first, she was going very conservative with the amount cut off, but we both realize that I have too much hair and need to pivot with removing volume via texturizing scissors without sacrificing the shape. The haircut in its final form is, as the kids these days say...VERY DEMURE, VERY MINDFUL. I look good.
