I went to Ulta Beauty to get partial highlight. unfortunately, I was so disappointed with the results. I ask for partial highlight ,but was given uneven highlights the color turn out dual and brazy, when I pointed it out, the stylist dismissive. I paid a full price for the service. I then address my concerns to the Manager who suggested seen a second hairstylist with a masters experience. Sadly this experience was just as frustrated. I clearly explained my concern, but also failed to deliver what we discussed. my beautiful curly hair is now overprocessed and damage. Two bad experience in a row means I will not be returning to this salon. I forgot to mention how the second hairstylist was so rude to me. I've been trying to avoid this but I've been very upset and unfortunately won't be able to go back to there beauty services. I explained to my hair stylist that I wanted to keep my length and it was down to my waist. Alyssa had told me she was cutting the three inches and then when she cut it I grabbed my hair and said oh okay it's a perfect length but then she proceeded to keep cutting ... I did get layers but I had wants my "face framing" cut close to my mouth length and I thought we came to a understanding about keeping my length.. she did the exact opposite. I had been coming to her for years but now I won't be coming she's very sweet but I don't think she was hearing me. I wanted to cry so hard and disassociated cause I don't want to start crying and kept a smile on my face. I went home and cried so much the hair I've been growing for 8years and have gotten the same haircut with my length. I forgot the term was long layers and just short a little bit on my face now my hair is close to my boob and I came to Vegas disliking so much how I look with my hair I knew it was heavy but I just wanted enough trim to still curl it but now i don't know what to do with it. I can't curl it cause it's to short and the thickness is gone it's thin. Sad to say, something has gone wrong with this store. My last two appointments have been changed/canceled without notifying me. Well, I get notifications that I HAVE an appointment, but when I arrive, alas, the stylist isn't there. Now, I take the time to (a) book the appointment and (b) show up. The very least they could do is call ahead and notify me. And no, it is NOT okay to switch stylists without notifying me. Avoid this location as they have zero regard for the consumer. read more

This review is beyond late... The staff are AMAZING here! I had one of the best experiences of my life a few months ago at this location. A sales rep named Brittany was helping me get makeup figured out since I have problematic skin and I had no clue what I should use. She was so kind and educated me on makeup, how to apply it and showed me products that would actually help me look great and help my skin conditions. Not only did she go above and beyond showing me products I needed but was very considerate of my budget and gave me gifts to help enhance my makeup even more! It's been a few months and my skin has improved so much from her knowledge and help. What's even crazier is she told me she felt like that day was very special for me, which was so crazy since a few hours later my fiancé proposed to me! They stock items that are half way empty. Make sure you check the items you purchase because I bought something not realizing it was half way empty. When I came back to return it so I can exchange it they told me they couldn't because it wasn't "lightly used". OBVIOUSLY it wasn't lightly used bc I bought it half way empty. Look I'm a pretty basic girl, no frills, wear natural looking makeup when I do wear it at all and a lot of that also has to do with anxiety over picking the wrong products. Every Ulta I've ever been typically leaves me feeling unwelcome and most staff always a bit snobby. This location was clean and organized. Parking lot super busy. The staff here was ok, but yet again service missed the mark. I had to hunt down a salesperson to ask some questions . I will say my questions were answered. . I am soo upset right now. I would give negative 5 stars. I have been a customer of Ulta salone for 4 years, and have never had an issue, they have made my hair look amazing until yesterday. I am left with black hair that is ugly, not even a pretty black. I was supposed to be a medium brown, and I told the girl and there is even notes my hair takes dark so then why did she not go lighter, we even picked out a shade that was lighter to be safe, and I have never had issue with it going black from that color before. She did say they didn't have the color so she had to mix color to make the color well what ever she did, did not work. I contacted the store and the manager offered to get me in but non of the times I could make it in worked for a stylist, so then she offered me 30% off. Which is like $90.00, so i am stuck still paying almost $300 for the initial service and probably another $250 to fix this horrible mess they left my hair. I would not be soo upset if i didn't have a huge event this week (reason for getting my hair done) Thanks for screwing me everyway possible and as people say eww what happened to your hair I am going to let them know I am a walking example of the product your ok with your customer presenting for the company. read more

Asked for a foundation match and got bounced around from associate to associate, and when I got one she was rude. Almost like she was disgusted to help me match my skin color to a foundation. Usually under stocked on products, or is hard to find in store. Everytime I come here it is always unpleasant. Haven't had a positive experience here since the early 2010s. La Toya did an INCREDIBLE job with my hair. She absolutely transformed my curly hair and spent so much of the time of the appointment teaching me tricks and tips for maintaining and nurturing my curls specifically that I would have otherwise not known! She was so passionate about helping me with my hair struggles and made me feel so comfortable putting my faith in her hands (considering how nerve racking haircuts can be). Yessenia was my cashier First of all she doesn't know crap about customer service!! I bought a bablybliss straightener at my store in surprise which I love that store by the way! I had to return it in Goodyear because it's close to work. I used it twice but burned my forehead twice. So I returned it for the smaller one. I went in to buy the smaller one first. I booked an apt for 2pm. 2pm so I could make it for after work. Ulta decided to switch my apt for 1:45pm without calling me and asking me if that was okay. Again, I booked for 2pm because I got off work at 1:30pm and thats when I could make it. I showed up to Ulta at 2:05pm and they told me my appointment was cancelled because I was 20 minutes. After explaining that I NEVER approved my appointment to be moved I was just told "I could reschedule you for 4:45pm today".. how is that okay?? I was reprimanded for trying a hand lotion that appeared to be a tester. Explained testers are for customers who are interested in purchasing. I was there with my 15 year old daughter, and our combined purchase decreased substantially from what we intended when we went in there to do. In addition, I was insulted by this person insinuation. I have shopped for many years. A simple error does not need a scolding or to be implied I would need to buy it; there were several open already with a sign about testers. I had scheduled an appointment here because so many of my friends recommended Ulta. Not this location specifically, but Ulta overall. I wanted to take my balayage to the next level. Nothing too crazy. Just add in some more highlights while leaving in the low lights to keep my dimension. My appointment was at 11am, but she didn't get to me until 11:30 almost noon because they had a morning meeting that ran over. No big deal. Anyways, she gets started and we're talking and I am getting to know her more and asking her questions about her technique. Everyone is different but I noticed so many things wrong. She just slapped the bleach on without even trying to blend it. I keep thinking this is how she does it and it will be okay. Well, 3 hours later after wash and tone she shows it to me all excited about how it turned out. Blotchy, discoloration, no more dimension and orange orange orange!!! I told her that I wasn't happy. If you're charging me $300 I would expect it to look better than this. She throws excuse after excuse saying a lot of things happened and that she was just playing it be ear and if I'm not happy I can just speak to her manager (raising her voice). I told her not necessary just fix it. 2 hours later it's even worse. At this point I had to leave, she did give me a discount and scheduled a second appointment to come back but I wasn't comfortable with that. The overall service here was horrible. The entire staff was rude and they give you all sorts of nasty looks. Needless to say this was the first time I've ever cried in a hair salon chair. I will NOT be coming back here for hair services ever again and I am thoroughly disappointed. I thought the artists were better quality here. I guess not. I was rebooked twice first time lady said she didn't have enough time to do my hair and called me 15 minutes before my appointment to cancel and rebook me with someone else I say okay I understand then when I get to the rebook session with a new lady she says she isn't comfortable bleaching or lifting my "ethnic hair" and she wouldn't be able to do my hair today. Only reason I stopped in was because I wanted the Lorac mega pro palette 2 and Sephora doesn't carry Lorac anymore. I purchased the palette and when I got home the entire thing was covered in gold shadow, one of the shadows was broken and spilled everywhere. I had to go back the next day and when I mentioned the need for the exchange I didn't even get an apology, she just said "make sure you check this one" which I had already done. I also noticed that the Lorac section had a sign that stated a gift with purchase, when I mentioned it to her she said "we ran out of the gifts" not even giving me eye contact. I then told her, well then I suggest you take down the sign...to which she didn't reply. It upsets me because this is a 60.00 eyeshadow palette (that's not cheap) and they act like they're doing you a favor. I know retail during the holidays is tough but they are like this year round. The darker haired older lady was being really judge-y about my dog being a service dog. I showed my dog's card and she was still doubting me I felt really discriminated. This is not a personal review. But on behalf of my client. She called me less than a week ago in a panic stating she had been to this Ulta and her experience was horrific.. FOUR hours and $375+ dollars later and her hair turned out like the first 3 posted pictures. She showed a picture and asked for balayage and a cute bob. This is a shame, and if I knew the stylists name I would call her out. She ended up in my chair from following me on social media and the 4th picture is during her process with me and the after when we corrected it. This service was completely unacceptable and if I do find out the stylists name I am going to take this a step further and report her to state board. Based on the overall reviews of this store it seems the employees are awful and nothing will be done. I WOULD NOT step foot into this store and let anyone service me. I have to tell my experience about their employees that made my experience with my mom what should have been in the first place. My mom has congestive heart failure. I didn't even count on ever having a wedding let alone my mother being there to witness it. So when we talked about having a wedding hair and make up trial appointment together was a dream come true. We had initially booked an appointment at a different chain salon nearby but unfortunately they messed with our schedule and their customer service skills in handling situation was less than professional. So mom and i left with no appointment and a horrible experience. We came to this Ulta location and we told them about what happened. One employee in particular was what turned around our day. She had the most vibrant hair, amazing eye shadow, and one of the most caring personalities. She went over her scheduled shift to help me and my mom. She listened to me, she made me laugh, and she got her friends at the store to give my mom a makeover and treat her like the queen she is. What these amazing people did was give me and my mom our dream back, they gave us the memory of a mother and her daughter planning for a beautiful day. I can't thank you all enough for what you did! I like this store but I can never find the products I need in store but I can online to pick up in store. It makes no sense but as long as they have them and I can pick up the same day I don't mind it much. Ordering online to pick up in store is easy. THIS MANAGER IS SO DISGUSTING WITH CUSTOMERS. I have been a customer at this location since opening weekend. I've only had to deal with Managers very few times regarding a product or booking a special event. But for the past couple years, this Asian Manager, has been the rudest I've ever encountered. My friend and I both have diamond status AccorHotels Ta because we love shopping their deals and the products have nothing to do with the store. We buy it all, hair/ makeup/and use the salon sometimes. Hence, We are always there, we've known the staff come and go. We love the deals. The manager always walking around with her fake smile and her "hi honeys". She's so rude. Check our account status, we have spent so much money here, and yet the one or two times that we exchange a product due to its packaging being compromised or it was sealed and advertised but I got it home and smelled like rotten eggs, OF COURSE I WILL RETURN IT BUT 99% of the time we exchange it for something different. This one time in about a year we are exchanging a product, she goes to help the cashier who is ringing us up, and looks at the products thinking I'm returning it all but in actuality I was exchanging one item and buying three more. Anyway, she pushes a button on the computer and leans in to the cashier and plainly says, "watch her, she's ALWAYS returning everything! " ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? YOURE GOING TO FLAT OUT INSULT ME RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FRIEND AND HER CHILD?? YOU ARE SO RUDE AND HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. SHE IS AS FAKE AS THEY COME. IM NOT THE FIRST ONE ON HERE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT HER. THE GOOD THING IS THAT THE MANAGER AND STAFF AT THE AVONDALE LOCATION ARE NICER, the store is bigger and they know how to treat their customers. I called the salon today to make an appointment for a haircut for my 15 year old son. I was happy they were able to do it this afternoon at 2pm. We arrived at approximately 1:45pm and learned no one was available to do a clipper cut. The associate asked if I made the appointment online and I said, no I called and spoke in person to an associate. His response was since I am a woman they probably assumed it was for a woman hence why they did not ask any clarifying questions. I explained that I made the appointment under his male name and also specified during the appointment call that it was for my 15 year old son. The associate response, oh yeah it was under his name... This was my first time to use their salon, won't be back. Waste of my time and gas. If no clarifying questions are asked when setting the appointment I would be very leary about being on the same page during a hair service appointment. read more
