I went in to buy a hair dryer and was thrilled to see a sign for 50% off underneath the one I chose. When I went to check out, the hair dryer showed the regular price. The cashier went to grab the sign to show the manager and the manager looked at the sign for a while and said, "This is only for the white hair dryer and yours is blue." I said I would run back and grab a white one to which she responded in an annoyed tone, "We don't have anymore white ones." I told her that was really crappy to have a sign for 50% off underneath a certain make/model of hairdryer when it wasn't for one currently in stock. She rolled her eyes, and said, "Oh well" and walked off. She was completely rude and unprofessional. Meanwhile, the cashier kept apologizing. I've been shopping at Ulta for years , but I won't be returning to this location. read more

Was in the store 3 times over 3 days and every single person I dealt with was rude and unhelpful. I will never set foot in this location again. Will drive out of my way, to Spring Hill, or shop online so I don't have to deal with these rude people ever again. Employees need a HUGE training in customer service. read more

My favorite Ulta in the greater Nashville area! I love to shop for most of my beauty products here and have had many experiences with their beauty services - currently I still see & will continue to see Lillian for my eyebrow tint/trim/wax as needed - she's phenomenal at getting the shape I want and I love the benefit products she uses - highly recommend!!! read more

It's always clean, has a variety of options and is affordable, and the staff are always nice and friendly

I am really not the best with makeup brands. I never know what I'm looking for. Kaitlyn helped me out today, and she was AMAZING! I told her that I was clueless and that I'd prefer to buy the lower priced items, but I was willing to pay more if she thought that I should. She never pushed expensive products on to me even though she definitely could have. (The most expensive thing I paid for was $18) She was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! read more

Has good products but I bought the elf eye cream and inside the box was makeup cleanser. They need to check their boxes because that was a rip off! read more

I highly recommend ULTA Salon stylist Libby! She just did highlights and cut for me and cuts for my two teen girls. She listened so well and we all walked out super happy with our services! read more

Ulta Beauty - This is my 14 year old daughter's cut. She requested long layers and she loves it! - Hair Salons Near Me - Franklin, Tennessee

Feels like walking onto a used car lot...salespeople are pushy beyond pushy. Did Amway rebrand? Was also told I had to give them my phone number I wanted to return anything. Even with a receipt, I would otherwise get "the lowest price ver sold". Seriously? You know how much I paid for it. They "snarked" at the wrong person. I'm wrote that book. read more

Maddy was such a gem today!!! I went in with no hopes of finding the It cosmetics bronzer brush and she went above and beyond to check if there was any in stock. She said there was only 1 and still went to go look for it and actually found it! I live in Murfreesboro but will most likely come back to shop here because of the customer service! THANK YOU MADDY!! read more

It's not that hard to update your voicemail and/or hours as other Ulta stores have done due to weather. I could go into more with my recent online order that I now have to return, but I won't. This business is going downhill. read more

8/7/2020 - I'm actually surprised I haven't heard from Ulta since my review. Sadly, since I initially posted my review, I've been dealing with severe breakage (pieces that are 2 - 3" long, even after being forced to cut almost 3" off!). I get angry every time I look in the mirror - my hair is hideous looking, and will be for months!!! And I resent that the salon manager said they'll use this experience as a "learning opportunity" for the stylist who ruined my hair...really? That girl needs to go back to school (her name is Kimberly, by the way...do not book with her unless it's a simple cut or blow out). ********************* Warning - do NOT go to the hair salon there! I went to have some of my roots touched up (I was blonde up until this incident, about 2 weeks ago), get a color gloss, and a cut. I had been doing my own hair for months, and it was in good shape and condition before I walked into the salon. I was assigned a stylist (who I found out during my service that she had very little experience and wasn't yet 21...which is why she didn't take what I was telling her about my hair seriously). She bleached the roots, but the bleach didn't take. I mentioned that the product wasn't doing what it was supposed to, but she said it was a self-timed product and would stop processing automatically (FYI - the bleaching process didn't lighten my roots at all - but she left it on long enough to fry my hair, pretty severely). She rinsed out the product and went to prep the gloss shade (I had asked for something more platinum vs yellow. I also know a gloss needs to stay in the hair for at least 15 minutes.). Less than 30 seconds after she applied it, she was finding it out. I jokingly said "the color must be taking" and she said "yeah". Then I asked, "shouldn't this be on my hair longer?". Her response was that since she saw the color depositing, she could rinse it out. She then took me back to the chair and said she was going to trim my hair and even out the layers. I specifically asked her not to take off any of the length or cut my bangs. She barely cut any of my hair, but what she did cut ended up looking like a mullet! And because if her poor bleaching technique my hair has such extreme breakage - I'm losing so much hair every day (and I'm getting depressed looking in the mirror everyday to see how badly she destroyed my hair). I went back to my darker color a few days after my appointment because it will prevent me from having to color it as frequently vs when I was blonde. I did call the salon the day after and spoke with the salon manager. I let her know about all the issues, and how bad my hair was (the stylist took so much off from the top of my scalp area that it sticks straight up! Now I realize she was trying to hide the fact that my hair was breaking off so much from her poor technique. I'm giving 2 stars because they did, without incident, give me a full refund for the service. But I'm utterly disgusted that now I'm spending just as much on deep conditioning treatments to minimize the amount of breakage. I've had some good experiences with other Ulta salons (both here in Nashville and in LA), but this is by far one if the worst salon experiences I've ever had. I'd recommend going to a more established salon with technicians that actually have a good amount of read more

I've been to this Ulta location for beauty services a few times. Most recently I stopped by for a 90-minute facial. Very decent beauty services, and a good Ulta location (by Cool Springs Mall, but not connected to the mall). If you need some salon or beauty services, it's worth considering Ulta. Their prices are really reasonable, and they usually have openings on their calendar. And you can book online! read more

What is up with these people? No smiles, no sincere desire to provide customer service. CONS: - Never having the item I go in for in stock. - Can't order it and have it shipped tot he store FOR FREE. - Must pay for $50 of product for free shipping, said product is only $12.99 - Found one product on the shelf that had been clearly used, thinking a discount would work I would be okay with that. THE MANAGER said no, I can't but I can clean it up for you if you would like? -- -- NO. Okay so you need to make a full profit on a product that clearly had been used before? NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. - Never any parking - Staffing, hit or miss. Sometimes you can't find anyone to help and other times several people are just standing around. PROS: - Location - Overall cleanliness of store, good It is extremely frustrating that a customer cannot order a product and ship free to your store. read more

I stopped into this Ulta while I was in the area looking for two very specific products. I was having a hard time finding one of the items and a store associate asked if she could help me with anything and guided me right to why I was looking for! One of the items I was looking for was very popular, so they didn't have any on the shelf, but she checked the back and they had one! Yay!! The second item I was looking for I needed more guidance on so I asked another store associate her opinion on the foundation I was looking at and she gave me her honest opinion and helped me find the right shade for me! I had two coupons, so when I went to check out I asked to do two separate transactions so I could use both coupons, which the cashier had no problems with. Unfortunately, the second item I purchased I couldn't use a coupon on because it was a prestige make up product, but he did give me the coupon back so I could save it for later or share with a friend. The store was clean and organized and I would love to come back next time I need anything! read more

One of the worse Ulta's I have ever shopped at. It has poor customer service and actually they act like they're doing you a huge favor by taking your money. I will try to purchase what I can at Dillards or Sephora for right now. It's too bad, because other Ulta's have been great. People don't ever say thank you anymore. read more

OK lets just say what needs to be said....if you've seen my photo you know why I spend a good amount of my time at ULTA Beauty. LOL Pink hair has certain requirements and I can just let you know now that I don't wake up that way! I LOVE this ULTA! Its one of the largest stores Ive been to and has a lot of products that the smaller ones may not have. This ULTA is also at Coolsprings Mall so its super convenient to just pop in while I'm at the mall for other stuff. Ill be honest, its never really a "pop in", its usually what I like to call a meandering. My husband knows that if I'm going into ULTA its going to be a long wait or he should have something to do while I meander. If youre a lover of all things makeup and hair like myself you get what I'm trying to say! For all those men out there DONT FEEL LEFT OUT!! They have an entire section of mens products from Shampoo to Cologne! So if you need to smell nice for your significant other then you can pop in and one of the great ULTA associates will help you find exactly what you need! OR if you need a great stocking stuffer....and ULTA gift card is NEVER a bad thing!! (ur welcome ladies!) ULTA has everything, bodywash, shampoos, styling tools, perfume, makeup(over the counter and higher end), and so so SO much more...this is why its a meander and not a pop in. lol. The staff at this ULTA are amazing and always willing to help when needed but also happy to leave you to your own devices which is nice in my opinion. Sometimes I like to try something new and being left to do that without a sales pitch makes it that much easier to do that, but I know that if I have a product question they are there and ready. They also carry higher end makeup selections and usually have an expert for that brand in store so color matching and asking specific questions is a breeze! Overall I will always choose ULTA for my products because the return policy is amazing. If you purchase a product and don't like it, its not the right color, its doesn't work well for you, or u have a reaction to it, return it! Even if you have used the product a couple times you can return it, that's nice when you have sensitive skin and things don't always work for you. So pop in and meander around, get your brows done and find a new product you didn't even know you needed!! They have millions of them to choose from! Im sure ill see you there lol. read more

Took my girlfriend here for a shopping spree for her birthday in late November. I guess because we're young (?) we could not shop around without being harassed and asked "do you need help?", "what are you looking at?", or just shoving stuff we weren't interested at us without wanting any help. I gave my girlfriend a $500 budget for her birthday and she wanted all new makeup but we felt almost stalked here. She ended up feeling uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. She got one $12 thing and they asked a ton of weird information like we couldn't buy something without telling them our full life story.. birth date, phone number and something else. She gave them fake info because the vibe was already so weird. We took our business to Sephora. This place was weird and had way too many bored employees just following every customer around. My girlfriend just likes to walk around looking at things, but feels like you really can't do that here anymore. Another customer we spoke to felt the same way and tagged along with us to Sephora. Super weird and invasive experience. read more

Decent selection of items but the people working there usually have an attitude. I hate being asked by 50 different people if I need help and them watching me because I have a COACH backpack purse. Sorry for disappointing but I don't have to steal shit. read more

This Ulta was just ok. Came here with my mom on my birthday to use my coupons and we walked around with not a single employee asking if we needed help with anything. Not even a welcome in. The store was quiet but busy it was just a weird atmosphere in here. The product in many places was a bit dirty since no one can use samples (Covid-19) so it's unfortunate the products people actually buy are being used. When I got to the register the lady tried signing me up for a credit card without even telling me it was one. I had to stop her and ask if it was. You ALWAYS tell a customer it's a credit card. She was rushing and pretty rude as I had 3 coupons, one was my free birthday gift, and told me she doesn't need to see them?! How else would you scan so I had her scan them. Her name was Kayla. It's as if she was trying not to let me use my coupons. Overall it was just a weird vibe. read more

The products there are great, and i love shopping around here. I came with some friends and I guess since we are young teens that they felt the need to peer pressure us into signing up with phone numbers! I understand that they have to ask, but we said no several times. One of my friends is younger than the rest of us and doesn't have a real phone number yet (still has an old icloud account) so the cashier literally asked for our parents numbers after we said no multiple times. Then the cashier said to us "It's weird that you guys have debit card but somehow don't have phone numbers" I wish i could remember her name. That made me so angry. So sad that my favorite store was like that today. read more

Hey! It's Christmas time and a Tuesday. I had hoped to find a nail gift set for, wait for it, my daughter who is 10. We had a wonderful experience shopping at this location. The selection is huge and the employees are incredibly helpful. The store is very clean and well-stocked. I can only say great things about our shopping trip. I am so appreciative of one employee in particular. She might've been the manager but she helped us find every item that we were looking for. Even when she had to go help other employees, she always came back to check on us and help us find all the items on our list. Everything that we were looking for was stocked and there were so many choices of brands, prices, and colors to choose from. We made this a special 50 mile trip for my daughters birthday. She was looking for things she had seen from YouTube and she was not disappointed. I am so thankful they made it special for her. read more

I had the best experience here. If you need someone to wax your brows, Lillian is the gal! I've been seeing here since around April and she does an excellent job every single time. Completely clueless and incompetent! My daughter had an appointment w/ Caitlyn at 1pm. We were there on time. Checked in w/ someone at the desk who did not let Caitlyn know we were there. She was still working on another client. Finished up with that one at 1:20. Then spent 10 more minutes primping herself in the mirror. Completely clueless of her surroundings. I was literally standing at the desk watching her. Not once did she ask if I needed anything or try to figure out if her next appt was there. Finally, the other clueless employee who checked my daughter in again, ON TIME, tells Caitlyn we are there. THEN, Caitlyn walks to the back, says nothing to us and calls her next appt to come in early. She then finally addresses me, tells me because we were late we needed to reschedule! Whoever is managing this place-YOU are to blame! Take care of your business and stop letting 12 yr olds run things. Clearly that does not work. This is one of the most unfriendly Ulta locations. Every time when I'm in there, and ask for a product they always point to where it's at. I had a lash appointment yesterday. I have never had lashes put on that badly. She redid them after the first time, because the one lash was sticking up. She redid them. They were okay looking. I only had them on for two hours before they came off. I wear this brand of lashes all of the time even in very hot weather. They never come off. The girl that I also told what I was there when going to the salon to check-in was very rude. I would go to another Ulta location. I was very disappointed with my lashes. I won't be getting them done here again. I love Ulta. I shop at other Ulta stores, and had my makeup done at other locations that are wonderful. It takes a lot for me to complain.
