And if you are more than 10 minutes late (even if you call them) you lose your deposit. So good luck if you have an emergency. Don't even get me started on the prices. I just moved from a major metropolitan area, and I never paid as much as they quoted me here (and that was when my hair was 3 times as long as it is now). I definitely recommend shopping around.

When I reached out to discuss correction I was received with attitude and criticism. When I went in to get my hair corrected, I was further met with attitude, disrespect, and ultimately disappointment. Furthermore, The business owner only wants cash but doesn't tell you that up front. She waited until she was rinsing out my color to tell me she only accepted cash. What they use the cash for is unknown, the salon is dirty and unkept, the bathroom never has hand soap, and the number of times my stylist picked up a hairbrush full of someone else's hair and used it on me made me sick. Not reliable, not hospitable, and not worth your time or money.

No explanation was given for why they were doing this. Being followed outside by an employee and having photos taken of my vehicle felt intimidating and unnecessary. I had already left the store and the interaction inside had ended. Customers should not feel like they are being monitored or followed when leaving a business. This kind of behavior is very concerning from a customer service and safety standpoint. I have filed a formal complaint and hope management addresses this situation so other customers do not experience the same thing. I have filed a BBB COMPLAINT

My candid rating for this ethnic hair salon is because some of the ladies that are employed there…read morecould be a bit more humble in spirit; the one that has blond hair and has a lighter skin tone is especially overly-cordial; it's as though the social ques understood by the associates are supposed to be understood by even their customers! When the Ms. Heidy didn't politely let me know to follow her to the styling chair after sitting in the drier; her colleague piped up, "Follow her!" And like many in El Paso cover up their mistakes, as though the way [we're] talked to doesn't matter, which it should.....they give one another the uttermost respect but are still rather idle about connecting more with their customers. But the blond lady that washes and rolls up hair needs to change her attitude.....the others excuse her compelling behavior. Not cool ladies. :/ In addition, I know of someone else in the community that may make a trip there but are rather concerned about the first impression they might have. After all hair care is a personal thing as well as the behavior from the beauticians is concerned. The customers that speak Spanish, however, get treated a little differently and less evasively. I also appear younger than I look so although the older lady that fixed my hair and scalp did a striking job, still made as though I was a teenager, and semi-chided for not washing my hair that often, though in So-Cal that's what I was used to doing. Her advice was valid though, and thanked her for schooling me. Ms. Heidy was also the first stylist to actually have somewhat of a conversation as well as gave me a good wash and massaged my scalp, which I never had done before by ANY beautician.....it felt nourishing. Therefore this is all just constructive feedback here. The music is awesome, the ladies know their craft well and the humble pride that all of them share when it comes to their calling in the business world of beauty is sensational. Some of us customers would rather be treated more like people as opposed to just part of a business; we work hard for our money also. Nonetheless I look forward to my next visit. But it's a thumbs up for ALL hair types....which is what every lady of color wants.....and deserves. :)

Towards the back of the room, there was a nail station and hair washing stations. This location is under new management so they're trying to break any stigmas that might've been there before. Trucco plans to eventually expand into a full service salon such as makeup but they're taking it one step at a time. I was super happy with my haircut and the blending for my hairstyle came out awesome. I also appreciatte a pre and post wash. Added bonus was the use of tea tree products when getting my hair washed.
