I won an auction at the spring gala for Gigi's House. The winning prize was a gift certificate to use at Studio DC. I made the appointment with Danny, and let me say that he was wonderful. I had my hair colored, cut, and styled. He was very professional and took his time. My hair truly never looked so good. I definitely will be going back, and will be taking my daughter there as well. I recommend Studio DC without reservation or hesitation. I will also add that I will always patronize any business that offers generous donations to such a worthy cause like Gigi's House. Short pre-lude to my review: I'm a military spouse and had my first battalion ball last Friday. So naturally, Friday morning I call here, not expecting to get an appt, but sure enough Silvia fits me right in for a full color with partial highlights! Now thats, customer service! Fast forward, I arrive, immediately seated, and offered a complimentary drink. I opted for a glass of Moscato. Studio DC is a wonderful Hair Salon/ Day Spa. They offer first class quality service without out the pretentious feel of a salon. All of the the the hairstylist are extremely friendly and extremely knowledgable. My stylist was Sylvia and i highly recommend her to anyone who wants a life changing haircut. She was calm and professional but she was super friendly. Talking with her while she cut my hair made it seem like I was talking to an old friend. I got a cut and color with Sylvia and will definitely be back. I'm so happy with the color and the cut is so manageable yet stylish. She was extremely courteous, attentive and professional. She consulted with me first, brought out color swatches and then began. It was an in depth conversation so we both know my expectations. She was soft spoken, gentle and a good conversationalist. Everyone was very friendly from the moment I walked in. I did not have an appt but the guy that greeted me said a hair dresser was going to walk in any minute. He checked with me several times, offering me a beverage and keeping me updated on when I would be seen. Needless to say it wasn't very long at all. When Sylvia arrived I explained all the damage I had done to my hair while over seas. She immediately started with a treatment and was able to cut all the broken hair out without leaving me bald. LOL. She was super friendly as was everyone there and explained to me everything she would be doing and how much the cost of stuff was. I will defiantly be going back!!! read more

I haven't ever written a review before but I must this time. I am traveling for business in El Paso and found Adriana @ Studio DC today using this app. She is just ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!! Took me less than a minute to explained her what I had in mind and she just didn't need to hear more. She was fast and confident of her work. My stylist for over 17 years lives in Lima, Peru and I always wait to travel to my hometown to have my hair done but I must say that Adriana not only exceeded my expectations, she surpass my guy...and I mean it! I just met Adriana and her very nice co-worker today, I have not ever seen them before, but they made sure I had a pleasant experience. Wine and cheese definitely helped :) I had a hair cut and partial highlights done today....I can only say WOW!!!! Adriana you have gift...if you are reading this review trying to find someone to do your hair and just hesitating where to go, please don't look any further, go see Adriana and I can guarantee you that you will be so happy of the results that you might even forget your belongings at the saloon just for being SO EXCITED of what you see ( I was beyond happy, I did leave my laptop at the chair lol, but awesome Adriana called me right away to get it). I had every intent of going to this salon and get my hair done a few weeks ago. At 9 AM, they were supposed to be open for business. I called at 0930, no answer. I called at 10, no answer. I eventually gave up and decided against it. I guess this is a very busy place, but not answering the phone puts a damp in the way a business is seen. read more

The salon itself has a very nice atmosphere, but the hairstylist named Sylvia is terrible. I had asked her to do the Ombre style, and she said she could, even though my hair is dark. I wanted a caramel color and I even texted her a picture of what I wanted beforehand. Well, nonetheless my hair only changed color in the back on the strand test she did, and now it looks copper. This was two weeks ago. She kept telling me I needed to go back in two weeks, so I think she just wanted more money, her excuse was my hair is too dark. Why did she not tell she was not able to do it the way I wanted? I paid her $120.00, with a cut included. I had also asked her to fix my bangs and she became very agitated and unprofessional. I had to block her from my phone. She does not know what she is doing and became angry when I questioned her. Last time I checked I was the client and she was not doing me any favors. I am visiting for work from Las Vegas and I came across this salon off yelp. I called and spoke with Shelby. She was able to get me in within 20 mins based off a phone call. Her service was beyond compare. I don't think I have ever a conversation while getting my nails done. Most salons get you in and out. She a sweet and beautiful individual. The salon was very clean and had a "hip" vibe. I wish I was able to take that salon back to Vegas with me. And it was a one stop shop with hair and nails. . When I was living in Seattle, I would always schedule an appointment with Danny whenever I was in town visiting. I was really happy when Danny opened up DC Studio.
