I was prepping for a girls weekend and stopped by Ulta to try some new fall scents. Of course, I had to browse around and look at makeup too! I was happy to see lots of my favs in stock. I landed on a nice, cinnamon esc perfume and used a b'day giftcard to treat myself. Once the look all came together, the perfume was like the cherry on top. read more

I left this store feeling more uncomfortable than helped. I was approached over and over while browsing, which made it impossible to relax, look around, or decide what I wanted without feeling pressured. Then, when I finally went to check out, I waited over 8+ minutes. That combination -- being rushed while shopping and then stalled at checkout -- felt frustrating and unnecessary. I actually plan to return what I bought because the environment made me feel unwelcome. They do have a great selection though. Guess I'll just buy online or go to another store. read more

Stopped in for cheap concealer. Somehow ended up spending a small fortune on some "mature, blurring concealer". The young person that helped me was so nice. I picked out what I thought was perfect. We put it on my face. It was. However it was suggested I try the next shade up and that was what was recommended. So that is what I proceeded to purchase. On the way I grabbed some oil. It didint have a bar code, so they walkied someone to bring another bottle to the counter. Before they walkied I suggested I run back and get it. They said no. "Someone will bring it". Welp, No one did. Cue the jeopardy music ... In the meantime they run up three other people. They asked someone again to bring it and I mumble. "I could have gotten it by no. The manager heard me and nicely says "oh there is just us three working. Hmmmmm. There were two men in the back and three women up front. Thats five. Lol. But I keep that to myself and just smile. Someone could have brought it faster. Had nothing to do with staffing. Plus, I offered to go get, didnt mind and was told "no, thats okay". It I also keep that to myself. Got in the car. Applied the foundation. Drove away. Looked at the mirror upon arrival and the suggested tone of foundation oxidized to a a lightly orange mask. Not a match, but at least the person tried to match it. I should have gone with my own gut. I will ne returning it next week when Im back near Ulta. I will stick to my jones road beauty products (which are online and excellent). and probably stay clear of ulta for foundation. What I learned today was "Why fix a wheel that works". read more

Give this visit a 5/5 because of the customer service. I left FL without my lip balm so I stopped here and just wanted a simple balm. Lilly (I hope the spelling is right) at the register was sooooo sweet, she got my original lip balm and asked me if I'm used to this balm and what was I looking for in its use (she didn't have to do that), I told her I needed coverage my lips are getting dry. She said hmmmm, can I recommended something else. She went and brought me back a handful of options. Idk, but her doing this and going out her way made my experience special. Thank you Lilly! read more

Love this store so much! The staff is always amazing, and always so helpful. I especially want to do a shout out to both Dylan and Bella for being so knowledgeable about the products and brands in this store as well as helping my daughter and her friends. The team at the Ulta on Lane are the best and I highly recommend this location. We are lucky to have them in our community! read more

I really appreciate how well stocked this particular Ulta location is. I am (almost) always able to find what I am looking for here. Store is very clean and I love how they always rotate in new brands. Check out line out can be slow, particularly on weekends. read more

Cashier Emily was very rude. Had asked a question and was rushed and had serious attitude.

What girl doesn't love pampering herself with hair and makeup? I've been to quite a few different Ulta's, some in Chicago and some here in Ohio. This one will likely be my new "home" location. It's tucked into a little shopping center, really close to Whole Foods so its convenient while out running errands. Everyone was super friendly, welcoming me when I arrived and as I was walking around I was regularly asked if I needed help with anything. The products they had are typical for Ulta. Great makeup brands that I love like Urban Decay, Tarte, Smashbox, Anastasia, etc. The last time I went in they were out of a lipstick color I was dying for but honestly, that's no biggie. I picked it up at another location. The staff let me know that they had recently had a major sale and the product I was looking for sold out. Bummer I missed the sale, ha. Other products include hair and skin brands. They always have good deals on the "Not Your Mothers" products, which I love with my hair type. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program. They actually do cash back on a large number of items, unlike other makeup stores like Sephora who only give away products. Ulta makes my makeup and hair routine easy by almost always having what I need. Thanks for being my go-to for glam! read more

I like this ulta overall. Staff is usually very helpful but I to have had an employee basically follow me around and kept hovering when I was just trying to come in for a few things. She continued to stand in each aisle I went to and just stared at me like I was stealing. I have literally spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years and it really pissed me off. Use security tags on everything if your really that worried! read more

I've been to this location a handful of times! It's close to my house and I am familiar with their set up. But today I walked in and was met with a very different energy. Im not sure if it's because how I was dressed or that I came in with a friend and we quickly split up. But we got almost dirty looks from the moment we stepped into the building. From both workers and customers. Not once were we asked if we needed help finding anything. There were 3 attendants helping out 1 woman picking out some makeup. I looked at the KVD lipstick for a second and couldn't remember if I liked the Lolita or Lolita 2. I ACCIDENTALLY picked up the tester for the Lolita and was holding it in my hand with my other items. I only came in for a couple things and was about to head to the checkout after. A man that was working there came to me quite quickly and asked if I needed a basket. Which was very odd and kind of made me uncomfortable. I looked down and saw that I had grabbed the tester. I apologized and grabbed the box. Then he kind of mmhmm'd at me and didn't talk to me anymore. Conversation went as so: "Hi! Do you need a basket?" "Oh! No, I'm almost done" "Almost done? No no stay! Play!" I look down at my hand. "Oh sh*t! I grabbed the tester." "mmhmm" and then he walked away. I understand that stealing happens in cosmetic stores often. But for us to be profiled and made uncomfortable was really just not cool. We are both exotic dancers and probably would have stayed and bought a lot more if this experience was nice. I wish that instead of beating around the bush that he noticed me grabbing the tester, he could have just asked if I meant to do that? Moral of the story, don't go into this Ulta if you're alternative. You will be profiled. We won't be back. read more

I've not used any of the services but do stop in from time to time to pick up some much needed products. For example, when it's time to buy Sun Bum for a winter trip to a sunny spot or in the spring, they always have it in stock. Soooooo convenient. The hair products I buy (hair spray, mousse, texturizer) are salon quality and they can be similar in price but there's usually a coupon you can get in the mail when you sign up for the rewards program. Since I only visit a few times a year I don't have a lot of rewards that I earn in the rewards program. I usually end up with free product during my birthday month like travel size hair spray. read more

I want retail stores to understand that stalking their customers throughout the store doesn't curtail theft; it curtails in-store shopping. No one wants to be followed around by not one, not two but THREE separate store employees. I'm a middle-aged black woman. Nothing I'm buying is interesting enough that three people need to be involved in my purchase. And they are all terrible actors. It's clear I'm being profiled. I go to this location because it's close to my house and I like being able to find drugstore products in the same location as prestige brands, but I'll just drive out to Sephora instead. I don't get followed there and their sales associates are more knowledgeable than those at Ulta. I hope Ulta corporate is reading these reviews. You're losing customers and ruining otherwise leisurely Saturday afternoons. read more

Just horrible!!! Was followed the whole time like i was gonna steal something. Even when i checked out the manager came up(black glasses) treated me and my friend like shit!! Spent 400$ The cashier was a doll Just not a good or fun experience read more

I love coming here for all of my cosmetic needs! Friendly employees & a great selection for everything beauty.

I love Ulta for their expansive selection of brands, their clean stores and their AMAZING associates. I was in this store yesterday 11/3/2017 after undergoing radiation treatment to my head at OSU earlier that day for brain cancer. I felt totally fine and then towards the end of my eyebrow wax with Kayt, I felt slightly dizzy then my temperature rose and I felt shaky/light headed, and I straight blacked out/fainted right there!! When I came to, I was mortified!! Luckily, I was not driving or alone when this happened. Kayt was finishing up doing my eyebrows and she called to her coworkers for help. These girls were AWESOME!! They jumped right into action without a thought. One called 911 and another got me water and a cool cloth for my forehead. Another was so sweet, she stood by me and held my shoulders and told me to lean on her cause she was tall lol. Thank God, they didn't let me just walk out and try to drive myself home!! The squad arrived in a few minutes and took my vitals, and the girls put my wallet and phone in a Ulta bag so I could take that to the hospital with me. I have been doing my beauty product shopping at Ulta for years because I like the wide selection of brands from luxury to drugstore, and the associates are always knowledgeable and friendly. I am definitely a customer for LIFE now!! Ulta execs, give these girls a huge RAISE and an award for how amazingly cool under pressure and reassuring they were to me yesterday!!! I realized once at the ER that in all the commotion I didn't get a chance to pay for my eyebrow wax with Kayt! Please accept this check as payment, and give the rest to Kayt as a well-deserved tip for literally saving me!! Thank you again from a lifelong customer!! read more

I've been in here to shop quite a few times. There's always an associate when I need to locate something and everyone I've encountered is polite and helpful. The only exception is the MAC counter. I've been in twice trying to get someone to help me with new makeup. I was previously using a different line altogether. But both times, neither of the ladies I've encountered with MAC seem to have much desire to help me. Giving me as little assistance as possible. It's been very disappointing. read more

This is my go to place to get my hair cut. I don't get anything unique or special. I just get my hair cut by Larry. I know this doesn't seem like it's worth being brought up, but Larry is. His attention to detail is miles ahead of everyone else. He will spend all the time you need to make sure you leave looking and feeling your best. He is the reason I spend the money on my very basic hair cut. He is the best of the best and needs to be recognized! read more

I love ULTA and have had overall positive experiences at this location. The selection is great, the store is well laid out, and the prices (especially on Nyx and ULTA brands) are great. You don't have store employees hovering over you while you shop, trying to upsell you on various products, which I really appreciate. Where ULTA loses a star is with their discounts and coupons. You absolutely must pay attention as you check out and make sure that the associate is applying all discounts and coupons that you have. Nearly every time I've shopped at ULTA (any location, not just this one), the associate has failed to enter a coupon of discount code that I've given them. read more

So this actually happened at Ulta.com but I think people should be aware of how this business treats people...I ordered some serums online and when I received them I reached into the bag...one of the bottles had broken into several jagged pieces and I have small shards of glass all over my hand...luckily I didn't get badly cut..I easily could have. When I contacted them they said "sorry for the inconvenience"....it wasn't inconvenient it was dangerous and scary (I even sent pictures so they could see how dangerous it was.) I'm not trying to sue them but having your hand covered in glass seems an apology and maybe some kind of compensation situation to me. I've gotten the same "inconvenient" and " let us do our due diligence" message 4 times for almost 2 weeks. I won't do business with them again and careful opening your bags everyone. read more

I have had 4 hair stylists in my life...in other words I find someone who is amazing and stay with them forever (or until I move). Larry at Ulta has been coloring and cutting my hair for 2 years and, without a doubt, he is the best stylist I have ever had. He listens to you, knows the latest styles and in absolutely meticulous with your hair. People literally stop me on the street and ask about my hair color. read more

I don't shop at Ulta often but when I do I am always happy when leaving. I walked in to get some Halloween makeup and was greeted by two young ladies. They were both able to help me find exactly what I need and gave me advice on what would work well with it. I don't wear a lot of makeup so this was nice to get their opinions. The store was clean, the cashier was nice as she was on of the ladies who greeted me when I first walked in. I loved the area of this Ulta location too! read more

I always receive great customer service at this Ulta!! There's a gentleman who works there who always compliments every customer he cashes out. read more

Makeup heaven is how I like to describe Ulta. I always go I. Intending to buy one thing but I always walk out with at least 50 nix worth of stuff. They have everything you need. Jo is THE BEST with hair. Truthfully she is a life saver. My hair had so many layers of black and red on top of each other, and I knew it was going to be a process. Jo knew it would be a process, too, we just didn't know what to expect. She got my hair to a blonde we both loved within SIX sessions and it was perfect. When I showed Jo a bunch of pictures for different ideas that I wanted for fall hair, she combined them and make the PERFECT fall color for me. I don't trust anyone else with my hair at this point. She does amazing work and makes sure it stays healthy every step of the way. That's the most important part to me - she's totally honest if she thinks it won't compliment my skin tone or she doesn't think my hair will look healthy after. She's worth every penny!!! read more

While this is a convenient location they rarely have what I am actually looking for in stock. For instance, today I was able to find one thing I was looking for, another in a larger size than I wanted, and could not find three other items. One of these was an alternative recommended to me and they did not have it either. This is pretty much always the case. read more

I love ulta! It was my first time visiting this specific location and if it was closer to my house I would go here more often. The location seems a lot bigger then the others. It's neat, clean and organized. read more

Shondra in the MAC area was absolutely fantastic. She heard my mother and I out about what we were in search of. She didn't try to "sell" us anything more than what we were they're for but did educate us in our skin types and coordinating items such as blush/bronzer. She is super down to earth and personable, you feel like you're talking to your good friend. I'm not a person that leaves reviews either and she really made an impact on my mother and I. Thanks for a comfortable and fun experience! :) read more

I see Larry every 5-6 weeks for a cut and color. His skills can only be described as "simply genius!" He knows what I want before I do. Not only is he amazing at what he does, he is friendly and makes you feel like you are his most important client. I leave the salon each and every time feeling beautiful and totally satisfied with the final product. Larry knows his stuff. Light years beyond what I see from others. I can assure you that I have never walked away disappointed and I only hear great things from anyone who is smart enough to go to him. read more

This location is the worst. I hope you know what you're looking for, because no one will be around to help you. When we did find someone, they actually turned their head and pretended like we weren't there. The assistant at the counter wouldn't stop talking trash about Sephora ("that OTHER store") to the person they were cashing out. Such rude service, I'd rather just buy online. Or go to Sephora. read more

Extremely poor customer service. They have a whole brow bar and yet the woman I asked to help me wasn't interested in anything I had to say once I told her I was dissatisfied with a product she says she's a rep for. Didn't offer to exchange it or listen to feedback, just acted like she wanted me to go away. And there's no one there actually willing to help you find the right color makeup, unlike the department store. Even though this place is only 5 minutes from my house, I'm not going there again. read more

My name is corrina westfall. I got a facial by Marijo & it was amazing. she seems to love what she do. I would deff come back

Worse Ulta store ever!! The "help" if you can find anyone is so stuck up and make you feel that they're better than assisting you. I wanted to buy sunscreen - I was told it wasn't on sale until Sunday. If I'd go in on Sunday I'm sure they'd tell me the sunscreen was on sale last week. THINGS ARE EITHER ON SALE OR THEY'RE NOT!! Hire more help and get some people with a little personality. read more

If you want your hair to be uneven, not what you asked for, and have two different cutting techniques used on the sides of your hair, than this is the salon for you! Feel free to enlarge my profile picture to see results which I am speaking of. The manager did call to apologize after I went into the store and sounded very sincere, which I did appreciate... however, when asked if there was anything he could do, and I suggested a store credit for $40, the cost of my cut. I was told that he could only give a credit to the hair salon. I have no desire to return to a salon which cut my hair 4 inches shorter than what I requested, and gave me an embarrassing bad hair cut. Seems strange that I could not receive a store credit, when I paid for my cut at the store register in front, not a separate "salon" register in the back at the hair salon. Proceed with caution and find out how much experience the stylist has and keep chit chat to a minimum. (They need to talk less and listen more.) read more

That moment when you go in to Ulta and end up spending A LOT less than intended because the staff are following me around and watching me like I'm shoplifting. I have nothing but good things to say about this location. The employees are very helpful and have so much knowledge about the products.
