She told me to call customer service. I did. I was on the phone for over an hour. They promised to follow up by email. I never heard back. My $40 was entirely gone. Then, a candle I purchased from Bath & Body Works exploded and nearly set my apartment on fire. Flames came from the outside of the candle & entirely caught fire to the entire wrapping & engulfed the entire product. I am lucky I caught it in time. I brought it back to the same store, upset, shaken, and concerned. Erin laughed in my face. She showed zero concern for the safety hazard and refused to exchange the candle. Again, she told me to "just call customer service." I explained I already had-and they didn't help. I asked if she, as a manager, had any authority to do something. She laughed again and said she didn't, & to call customer service. This is not just bad customer service-it's dangerous negligence. I've lost money, time, and trust. And I'm speaking up so others are aware. Bath & Body Works: do better. Your customers deserve to feel safe and respected. I usually dread going into this location because they seem to always be out of stock on the exact shade of whatever it is I need. But, I had a wonderful experience with someone who I believe was both a sales representative + a more experienced stylist? I did not get her name, but she has brown hair that's bleached blonde at the ends, and is super friendly! A few moments after I walked in, she offered to help me find whatever it is I was looking for, and I'm so glad I accepted her help. I was looking for a purple shampoo that would actually lighten/tone my blonde hair, but most purple shampoos that have visible results also tend to severely dry out my hair + damage my curl pattern. She was so patient, gave me the run down on a bunch of products that genuinely fit my needs and price range, didn't try to aggressively sell me anything, and was just so, so helpful! I love what the products she recommended did to my hair, and this feels like kind of a silly review to write because I didn't even catch her name, and I didn't even get a salon service that day..lol, but I'm genuinely so thankful for her recommendation because my hair is looking better than it has in ages! I'm not giving this Ulta a 5 star review because again, it's super understocked and kind of hell to navigate, but I would give the lady who helped me 10 stars if I could! read more

My review is based on the Salon and I'm a bit upset with it. I called to make an appointment and wasn't sure what I wanted to get done with my hair. So, the person on the phone said she'll make my appointment longer so, that if I want something more complex, we would have time. I went there I showed my stylist the picture and she said she couldn't do that because she only has 30 mins to do my hair. I was checking out with a lady by the name of Jeannette , she was very rude, disrespectful while purchasing an item. I didn't get any nice greet from her all I got was dirty looks and attitude. When I moved from Itasca to Schaumburg, I ended up choosing a salon right around the corner from my then new house. I can't believe that I've found her again. She's been in this profession for fourteen year now...wow, how time flies! And now I feel a little older than I would like. But I digress. Anyhow, I decided to eliminate the Oscar the Grouch/Tom Selleck look that I've been sporting for a few weeks and opted for an eyebrow and lip waxing. The waxing room is nice. Very clean. They don't double dip in the wax which is greatly appreciated. It would be almost as bad as double dipping in the chip dip at a party which is why I'm glad that they stay away from that practice. ;-) Anyhow, I agree with the nickname. Oh, Gentle Waxer, you left me painfree and very relaxed! I was surprised because my face usually hurts for a while after a waxing, but not this time. The salon itself is divided up nicely. They have a couple manicure stations setup in front by the windows, so there is good lighting. The other windowfront is the home of their boutique. Filled with jewelry, handbags, hats, scarves and really cute tops - there's a lot to look at in that space! I need to devote more time right there on my next visit. The pedicure station is near the back of the salon for a more relaxed feel away from the guests coming in and out the front door. The stylists are setup throughout the Center along the walls. Overall the prices are what I would expect and I'm good with that. Everyone that I encountered was friendly. I like that a lot. I like feeling welcomed. Like they're glad to have me. :-) I'm looking forward to my next visit. I love downtown Itasca and all it has to offer. This is a great locally owned salon that's worth your time and money!

At one point during our visit another associate had walked over to Desiree and had mentioned something that I overheard that went along the lines of " we need to share". Not sure if that associate was referring to the camera but that associate shouldn't have confronted Desiree on the sales floor. Desiree however kept her cool. Desiree did a great makeover and did a great job in product recommendation. I highly recommend you ask for her when your there. Would shop there again.
