This Ulta was the ultimate. So often I accompany my wife as she searches the shelves and repackaged product. But not here. The staff was incredible and helped us from the moment we walked in. Amy was the best. She found all that was needed and so kind. And she even had her foot immobilized with a stress fracture. This girl is awesome and should be the CEO of Ulta. Thank you for letting me experience service beyond excellent. read more

This has the potential to become an excellent cosmetic store once they're able to attract helpful staff. Very nice selection of upper tier products. Clean and attractive. Please be respectful of the employees and try not to interrupt them when they are having conversations with one another. Also, be prepared to show ID and provide name, address, phone number, DOB, and mother's maiden name for product returns. read more

Very convenient and they sell a lot more products than some of the other Ulta stores I have been to. Everyone is always very kind.

I have only been to this location once (I don't live here, but it is the one my sister frequents). The employees were friendly enough and didn't harass you if you said you didn't need assistance (which is a nice change). We came here to exchange something that was purchased online (wanted to see colors in person instead of doing online exchange). Solid standard Ulta experience read more

I am very surprised I never reviewed this place! I go here all of the time, I am quite sure they recognize me, I am a regular. I love their rewards program, I was able to purchase some stocking stuffer goodies for pennies! I typically get all of my fragrances here, most of my makeup, many of the kid's presents.....etc....I am very excited they have their holiday 5 for $5 items. My child loves the Ulta lip oil. She buys it all year and really loved the Disney themed ones. I was able to get a few for a $1 each! I like their holiday special deals with getting a bag or a blanket. Honestly, I use every bag I get here, usually as an overnight bag or beach bag. And we use all of the blankets we get here too, they are great to throw on the couch when it is chilly outside. I also like their birthday prizes, we use them every year. I got a wonderful mascara this year. The people who work here have always been pleasant, helpful, and professional. I have no complains. read more

Today I used the salon services to get a hair treatment done. Just a simple deep conditioning. My original hair stylist was unable to get me in until the following month (no bigge) I figured I'd stop here. Sadly, I had a horrible experience with Annie a master stylist. She never introduced her self, never made me feel welcomed and felt like she was in a rush. She was very aggressive when washing and applying the treatment I was hoping this was a little more relaxing 25 min. After blowing trying my hair she left it a mess, and didn't take the time to do my part. I understand this did not come with an extensive blow out but still treat any client respectfully and allow them to use the mirror to do so no need to rush them out the door when I had a scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, I can't recommend her and will not be returning to this specific ulta for any services or products. read more

Service is good, prices are outrageous. I purchased Two Faced Lip Injection and it was $10 more than other places such as Kohls. Ridiculous.

I've been back in quite a few times, idk if there's new people or what but I always get friendly help.

I keep trying to give this store a chance, as it is convenient, but the lack of knowledge and the unbelievably rude staff just get worse every time I go in. read more

As a serious beauty product addict, I love Ulta. I really like this Ulta! I did not like it before. It's gone through a little bit of a renovation where they've moved around some of the displays and now it is much more clean feeling open and organized. I feel that every time I go to this Ulta versus other ones closer to my home I get help when I need it quicker and I can find what I need in stock and get in and out overall great location read more

I stopped into Ulta after having a few hours of free time. I saw a product on someone's beauty blog and was hoping to find it. After spending some time hunting, I asked a sales person (they did greet me at the door, but I declined assistance) and she was incredibly helpful. She looked through all of the shelves, checked up front. We couldn't find it BUT she showed me equivalents and talked about the product she used. She found a trial version of a product she like that was much cheaper rather than buying the larger bottle. I sometimes feel intimidated because I don't wear much makeup or use a lot of beauty products, but she made me feel at ease. Checkout was quick and painless- they did offer me a card as i was preapproved, but I poitely declined and there was no further talk of it. I'll definitely be back when I need assistance- there is one opening in White Lake and I am really hopeful they are just as great. read more

I've been to this location a few times and have been disappointed. The product selection isn't as good as at the other SE MI stores. I'm not sure if this has to do with the proximity to Pontiac, however, the Costco and other nice stores attract a good shopping demographic so one would think that might merit higher end brands. I can't speak to the salon or make-up artist staff, however the salespeople seemkind of brusque and they can be slow at the register. Also, when I went in last time more than half the lights were off and it was really hard to see. I even had to use the flashlight on my phone to discern product colors. I'll still visit this store when I need something and am nearby but wouldn't ever go out of my way to visit the Bloomfield location. Farmington Hills is much nicer. read more

I had an appointment at the Brow Bar with Stacy but she took a walk in instead, waited a while to acknowledge me, and then asked if I had an appointment. I said yes. At that point she turned around and said nothing. She went right back to what she was doing so I asked another person, who confirmed that, yes I had an appointment that they somehow forgot, and asked me to wait for half an hour and go next. I had a work appointment to get to, so I did not get my eyebrows done. That was my second unsuccessful attempt at booking an appointment here. Don't book appointments at Ulta. Just buy your makeup, use your coupons and get out of Ulta. If you actually need a service done, go someplace with higher standards for quality of service. read more

After reading the reviews, I think maybe someone read them and they have improved! I was surrounded by friendly, happy people and was thrilled that Dayna offered to take me as a walk in and curl my hair! New customer discount and walked out with $27 curl job done beautifully! Score! Took away one star because I kept trying to buy stuff and the one available lady kept leaving me mid sentence to check on others--- I was like wtf just finish me up! But in the end, she was honest and knowledgeable so it made it better. Will be back! read more

One of my favorite Ulta Beaty locations! The staff is always super helpful and the store is always very clean and tidy. I was greeted when I walked through the door and even checked up on by an employee! read more

I came in not knowing much about makeup but I read a yelp review about ULTA and it helped me so I thought I'd help others in return. The Store was very vibrant and alive. Additionally, there was a sales associate by the name of Alexis that was very knowledgeable about the products, which was very important for a first-timer like myself. I came in with a novice understanding and Alexis was patient enough with me to walk me through the right products for me. Overall, I had a good experience and left knowing more than I knew coming in. read more

I have been in this store many times and have always found the employees to be helpful. This time I got someone who was extremely knowledgeable in the specific questions I was asking. She was more than helpful and spent a great deal of time answering my questions as well as explaining what the specific product would do for me. She really went above and beyond! I learned a lot from her and it really me decide which product to go with. read more

I have been going to the Salon here since December 2013. I was with the same hairdresser for 13 years before that until this past August. Between August & December I was looking for a new home for my hair. I have found it. I have had color/highlights & blow dry/styles done by both Erin V & the Salon Manager, Christina. They are both amazing. Christina especially knew how to style my hair so that it turned out soft, silky & still had body. I have super thick, wavy hair & a LOT of it. I looked like a Wella girl when I left the salon. Every one there is kind professional & to be honest I forgot what it felt like to be treated with such kindness & respect considering the fact that I am paying for a service. I have had a chance to speak with the General Manager (her name is also Erin) and they are lucky to have her!! Talent & professionalism are the cornerstones of this salon & I'm so happy!! My hair is NOT easy!! read more

I love this store!!! I went in to buy a new hairdryer. This beautiful blond manager bent over backwards to help me. It was a very pleasant experience. I will definitely come back again and again! Thank you!!! read more

I almost never write reviews and I definitely never write negative reviews however Ulta on telegraph in Bloomfield hills provides the absolute WORST customer service I've ever received in my life. They are so unwelcoming they're borderline HOSTILE. I'm a sephora customer but I decided to try ULTA because they're conveniently located only 5 minutes from my home. The first time I went in there the customer service was ok. Nothing stellar but acceptable. The 2nd time I went in there they pretty much ignored me. If they were busy it would have been understandable but there were probably only 2 other people in there. The 3rd time same experience. The 4th (and last time) I went in there the brow technician practically glared at me. I was going to buy the $50 product she recommended but out of principal I didn't. I'm going back to sephora!! If I could give negative stars I would!!! read more

I wandered in on a much needed pamper day and ended up getting my long desired balayage. Always skeptical about a new stylist, Alma did not disappoint! Alma paid very close attention to detail, took her time and even my hair cut is spot on PERFECT! I'm so very happy with my new stylist and salon - you will be too! Brenda did an amazing job, was also very detailed and educated on my cosmetic selection! She made the shopping process very enjoyable and comfortable, as I have no idea what I am doing! read more

Extremely pushy staff. I came in asking for a specific product, which they did carry, but tried to sell me a different foundation instead. The saleswoman literally stood next to me while I picked out the correct color and fed me lines about some other great new product instead. Even after I'd said no. Then I got up to the counter and they had a fit that I declined signing up for their rewards program. The chick would NOT stop talking about how I needed to sign up, no matter how many times I said no. The entire ten minute visit was nonstop harassment. I won't be going back. read more

I have been a regular customer for years. Almost every time I go in there I have to wait at least 10-15 minutes in line. There is usually only 1 cashier at the register and at least 3 or 4 associates on the floor. If you ask them to open another register they say no. They need to improve their customer service. I won't be back. read more

Completely rude staff. I asked one of the women her if they had a product and she said she thought they didn't, I asked her if she could just check she responded with " listen I told you we don't have none, I'm not gonna go look for you" ...... completely rude never shop here read more

Stacy did my eyebrows at the brow bar and absolutely massacred them. Once she showed me the final look, I told her that they were uneven and I was unhappy and she proceeded to say that they were even, failing to listen to me. The fact that I paid $25 for her to take off half of my eyebrow, leaving one thick and the other extremely thin, is appalling. Ulta should either better train their staff or go out of business. I will NOT be returning for any reason. read more

I called ahead before I drove all the way up to Ulta today and spoke to Gabriella. She ensured me that they had the product I was looking for and it would be there when I got there. So I got ready, drove all the way there and asked where it was. To my surprise no one knew. When I asked helpful Gabriella she said "Oh I thought we had it, I didn't actually look." REALLY?!!? I was on hold long enough for you to go make it let alone check to see if you had it. So BEWARE!!!! If you are looking for someone intelligent to help you; shop elsewhere!!! read more

It's funny that I am writing a review on another Ulta employee already mentioned! I had the most rewarding experience at Ulta with Gabriella! I asked about the best selling mascara for the least amount of money and she showed be the high end best sellers and less expensive "copy cat" brands. I bought the less expensive version of my usual high end mascara and I JUST LOVE IT! every bit as good as the high end stuff but for less than half the price! I got excited over this and she showed me the same thing with my foundation. Gabriella even gave me a sample of a high end foundation and its less expensive cousin to take home and compare for myself! Fantastic service and assistance. Used to be a devoted sephora shopper but Gabriella convinced me to make the switch! read more

I've done alot of online shopping through Ulta in the past, as there are no stores in my area. So, I was so excited to make the stop here. There aren't price tags on hardly any of the products, I was left confused. When one of the sales girls came up and asked if she could help with anything, I asked about pricing and her words were, "You'll have to take it up to the front".....ok? So all of the products that I'm looking at I'll need to take up the the counter if I want to know the cost? Right. A lot of the products have also been opened or used already, so I found myself digging to try and find makeup that hasn't been tampered with. When I get up to the counter with my things, I asked the girl to do a price check on one of the items for me, her response was "What's your phone number?" I told her I didn't want to have my number put in their system, I just want to know how much this costs. Complete attitude change. She got really rude, you would have thought I kicked her dog by the look on her face. This place is awful, worst shopping experience by far. Got home took one of the face masks that I had purchased out of the box and took the lid off.. tampered with already. Of f**king course. read more
