This morning, I placed an online order for pickup. Knowing it's the holidays, I just knew deep down in my heart that the order was going to take a while. Imagine my surprise when three hours later, the store was closed due to network issues. I feel like it's false advertising to state that you're open, when you aren't. There is a way to state that you're closed online (like you did after the hurricane), so why let people make purchases and spend hundreds (or more) before the holidays and not be able to pick up what they've paid for? Yes, I know that it's "pending" until it's picked up, but come on! This is ridiculous and if I'd been treated like a customer instead of a hassle, I wouldn't even be making this review. Now, I have to put it on all of my social platforms, because what reputable business does this? I'd rather go straight to the manufacturer or Sephora, as I should've. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I can't tell you how many times I've gone there, and every time I always leave shocked at how rude the employees on the floor are. They seem annoyed anytime you ask them where something is. There was an employee with her AirPods in putting things on the shelf & I asked if she worked there bc i genuinely didn't know if someone who worked there would be listening to their air pods, she took them out and answered "yep. I'm not sure who the manager is but I urge them to talk to their employees about their customer service. I've been to this Ulta three times and I try to avoid coming because Ive never left feeling like the employees wanted to help me or interact with me. The second time, I was buying a cologne for my boyfriend, I remember standing right next to a group of associates chatting. I had to wait for their conversation to end before one of them looked at me and helped. I just left the store for shampoo and the young lady checking me out only told me to "put my phone number in". No "hello" or "you're all set", she simply placed the bag in front of me and continued her conversation with a different customer. I understand the store gets crazy busy, but that service is unacceptable. I've cashiered many jobs and the way some of the associates act makes me cringe. read more

I was celebrating meeting a weight loss goal and treated myself to a large bottle of Valentino Donna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy (it smells amazing), I also purchased some lashes, and lipgloss. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and there was no line at the online pickup area. The representative brought my order up in seconds and verified my ID as well. I was in and out in no time. Ulta! Who doesn't love Ulta! :). Yes came in to get more info on the Phyto line of vitamins. I asked a hairstylist and I forget her name but she was so helpful. She compared the ingredients in other hair vitamins and she basically said it's not worth the money. So I ended up getting the Keranique Serum. I've read a lot of reviews on this line. According to the hairstylist it does what it says. So I'm going to try it and see:) I love this store setup. It's different from the store in Snellville. A better selection. This ULTA is definitely not as organized or as well laid out as others, but they have a friendly staff. I am always underwhelmed with their Essie polish selection as it seems to always be out of stock or missing the latest colors. I frequent the ULTA location by my home and they have a much better flow throughout, making it easier to navigate when the store is busy or when you know exactly what you are looking for. That being said, the staff at this location was very friendly - multiple people have come up to me to see if I needed help with a color match or help finding a specific product. They run good sales (same as the other stores) and have a decent clearance section (albeit unorganized). Another thing to remember is that many of the products can be found in multiple locations. While my color wasn't available in the IT Cosmetics CC Cream display, there was an end cap a few rows over that had TONS of them in it. You just have to take the time to look around. read more

Ulta is one of my favorite places to shop. I love one stop shopping for haircare, skincare and makeup! Even the everyday makeup brands you'd find at Kroger or Target. The selection here is great! I'm not the most savvy woman when it comes to these things, as I don't read glamour magazines for all the latest products. However, when I go in and speak to an associate about a specific concern, they have been friendly, helpful and pointed me in the right direction. So far I've been highly satisfied with each product recommended. Once suggestion for the ladies- leave your man at home! My hubby gets shellshocked by all the products and prices he sees. Lesson learned the hard way on that! Ulta also has a reward card and their app allows you to easily track your points and rewards. They also will email special offers that help you earn more points quicker if you keep an eye out. Plus there is almost always a $3.50 coupon in the app that can be used in store- although it does exclude certain brands, like Philosophy. read more

I really like places that have make-up, hair products, perfumes, body scrubs etc. So, it's no wonder I like Ulta. This place is huge and offers great products. It is a cheaper alternative to Sephora, which I also love. The store has a section with many of the inexpensive cosmetic brands like Cover Girl, Maybelline, NYX, and L'Oreal. This section is much like what you would find in your local big box stores like Wal-Mart or Target. Then there is a higher end make-up section with brands like Benefit, Urban Decay, Lancôme, and Clinique. Depending on your price range, there is something for you. The hair section provides many options. You can find shampoo, conditioners, styling tools etc. I initially visited this store because I found out that they carried a line called Deva Curl. Once I ventured in to purchase that product, I realized they had a lot of other great products. You can buy straightening tools, blow dryers and even hair dye. Ulta also has an in-store salon. So if you aren't interested in styling your own hair, you can visit the salon's licensed cosmetologist. The store also offers perfume and cologne. You can find specialty body scrubs, body washes and loofas. I'm often overwhelmed when I visit, but it's a good thing. I typically set a budget before I shop here. Ulta also has branded items that are equivalent to more popular brands. I really wanted to try the Clarisonic brushes that retailed for $99 or more, but Ulta offers the same brush through their brand for fraction of the cost. The staff is helpful. They have a great sense of the store and its inventory. Anytime I have a question about a product, most of the associates have tried it and can provide me with honest feedback. Ulta offers great deals if you sign up for the Ulta Beauty card and join the mailing list. I often receive 20% coupons and a beauty sales guide with their latest incentives. The store is located on the busy Robert C. Daniel Parkway, which is surrounded by several retailers, so entering and exiting may be a challenge. There is plenty of parking. read more

Customer Service was horrendous!!!!!!!! The manager walked back asked if he could help me with anything but proceeded to keep walking with no intent of waiting on response from me!! I was still in Fenty cosmetic section an associate made eye contact with me and I was trying to ask for assistance and she turned away and engaged with her coworkers about cupcakes they had brought in. There was atleast 4 associates that could have offered assistance. But no one did!!!!! I walked out store past an associate and recieved no acknowledgement....I turned around went back in store and asked for manager. I was suprised to earn the first associate that addressed me earlier was the manager!!!!!! I calmly explained my store experience and the feedback didn't match his actions ! He appeared to really have no concern for my complaint. I wasn't looking for a discount or something free! I was looking for good customer service! What happened to that!! I've been here a few times, mostly for the Benefit brow bar and now, recently, for a haircut at the salon. (This review won't concern the Benefit brow bar because it isn't technically part of Ulta.) Firstly, I don't shop at Ulta much because I'm not super into makeup and I'm picky about the few things I do buy (I like to be sure my cosmetics and skincare products are cruelty-free and ethically and sustainably sourced). However, I appreciate the range of products Ulta carries, many of which do fall into these categories. What usually prevents me from buying a lot is the price. I find a lot of their products to simply be a bit more expensive than what I'm willing to pay. They also seem to be out of a lot of stuff whenever I'm browsing, but I may just go at bad times. The second part of this review is about the salon. I recently had a haircut with Holly Mae after she was recommended to me by someone who knew I had had a bad haircut experience elsewhere, and said this stylist could fix it. And she did! She took out all the breakage and managed to make my hair look fantastic without cutting too much off, which is a miracle as I'm trying to grow it out. She really took the time and attention to detail that my hair needed. If this review were just for her it'd be five stars. For Ulta overall, it's got to be four. I just think that for me, the prices and frequent supply outages make it just short of a five star experience. But I do think the salon is great. read more

This is actually a great review for Sephora. I had a terrible experience with Ulta online. I used to be a loyal customer with them, but went to Sephora and now I remember why. Though their prices are a tad bit better, their online process is awful. As I was entering my gift card PIN, they booted me off that page and charged my whole total to Paypal. There's no way for me to cancel my order and start over, so now I have to wait for it to be delivered, then return it, wait for my refund and THEN repurchase. Sephora has pretty much the same in-store setup, but their online process is much easier to navigate. I'll be back to them when I straighten out this mess. read more

Really disappointed with the service (or lack there-of) here. I walked in, nobody greeted me or even looked my way. At one point, a beauty advisor walked right past me despite my attempt at getting her attention to help me with finding a deep red lipstick. I later saw her doing her hair and adoring herself in the mirror. Meanwhile, several other people are walking in and being greeted and attended to. I hate to say this, but I think it was because I'm black. Literally everyone else there was white and got the staff's full attention whereas I went ignored the entire 30 minutes I was there. The staff is friendly and helpful. Unlike Sephora, they're not located at the mall. Extremely unprofessional and total WASTE of time & money. I wish there was an option to give zero rating. I went for my hair color(balayage) a few days ago. First, She didn't do the patch test as my hair is dark and straight away applied the color. I didn't get the expected color so he asked me to come again in week. I went again, instead of fixing the problem, she only did the patch test & not sure why she did not want to do the full hair and again asked me to come back in a month(without doing anything that day). Being a beauty professional and a cosmetic junkie Ulta instantly became one of my favorite shopping destinations. I was familiar with their website and all the brands and products they carried. So it was no suprise they carried some of my favorite brands and tools of the trade. The store is spacious with a salon located in the back of the store. Each section is labeled and easy to navigate. I came in looking for my favorite brand of shampoo and conditioner which was on sale for more than half off, that's always a bonus. The checkout process was very simple. The cashier was very chipper and friendly. He quickly assisted me with the checkout process. I always love a store that I can go in and out of without a hassle. So all in all, shopping here is a must for any beauty supply junkie!!!! read more

I normally don't go to this salon, but desperately needing a quick dry cut I went into Ulta. I went to the counter where the salon area is near the back of the store, saw three of the hairdressers who were all with customers but I noticed one who was finishing up with a client so I decided to wait at the counter to ask if I needed an appointment and how long the wait might be. She finished ringing up the client and didn't even give me the time of day. Because you know, I just feel like standing by counters for ten minutes. She just ignored me and walked away and began taking the next lady who was waiting. The other two hair stylists saw me standing there as well, never said a damn thing to me. So guess who never got a haircut or decent customer service. As far as the store itself, they have decent sales on good products like Redken and Rusk. There's typically a coupon in their ads, which is good. Every once in a blue they have sales on shampoos and conditioners in liter bottles which is fantastic. The customer service up front isn't that great either. I shop in here at least twice a month, none of the associates are ever that friendly or welcoming. read more

I ran in here for conditioner this week and they didn't have what I wanted, so I chose something else as I had a coupon. Then what I chose was excluded from the coupon. 1. When I approached the rep (no one approached us for help) about a tester that was out of product, her immediate response was "well yea, you have to press it down." Clearly, this was not the issue as the product was out. She finally arrived at that conclusion a few minutes later. 2. I purchased a Becca highlighter (in my $200+ order) only to find it was broken when I got home. I took a picture of the receipt, time, and broken product. I called ULTA customer service AND store only to be told I would have to make the drive back up there to do anything about it(30+ min) Absolutely ridiculous. 2.5 stars. I'm a Diamond Rewards Member and I do most of my shopping online simply because store associates and customer service are hit or miss. The first associate to offer assistance was pleasant and knowledgeable, while the second associate I asked for help had never heard of the brand I was asking about and didn't even look at me during our conversation. As a mom of twins, I don't get out much, but when I do it takes a lot of effort. My stroller is huge... HUGE. Out side this Ulta was a stray Christmas Store cart and from past experience with shopping carts and infant carriers, I know it's more space and energy efficient to set the infant carriers side by side, resting on the rims of the cart. My stroller is larger than a shopping cart. I was doing myself and the store a favor... I parked, fetched the cart, loaded my 8 month old twins, pushed it up to the store, opened the door, and was immediately told I was not allowed in the store with said cart and would need to leave. The rationale was because the isles were too small for said shopping cart. When I explained that my stroller is larger than the shopping cart, the employee reiterated that I was not allowed in the store and that she was sorry for the inconvenience. She said the camera guy would killer if she allowed me in with the shopping cart. I told her I couldn't shop there today since both the shopping cart and my stroller were too big to fit in the store. I left the store, pushed my kids back to my car, loaded them back in, and returned the cart to the store front right where I had found it. I don't think I'll be coming here again. I had been using the brow bar services but the last two times Ive gone, there was only one esthetics an/stylist available and she gave me bald spots on my brows and tweezers them too sparse. My brows are out of control and again I continued going back even though my feelings were mediocre because of the convenience... Never again. I'll spend my money elsewhere, somewhere more accommodating, with better brow waxing services. I can go to Sephora for make up and personal care items. read more

I loathe the mall, so I'm happy that there is an Ulta to go to instead. The employees are always friendly, and the blonde woman who works in the perfume/BE area is awesome and always super helpful. I love that Ulta sells Batiste, Palladio, and NYX products. Where it falls apart for me is that they don't keep their lower priced section tidy at all, and that's where my beloved NYX resides. The shelves are always a mess, with most items misplaced or out of stock. Sometimes there are even a lot of things on the ground. Ew. Trying to find Butter Balm in the right shade? Good luck. It's also oddly difficult to find a mirror in this store. So yeah, there are definitely some problems but I'd still rather come here than Sephora. read more

From a representative arguing with me about a product I thought they carried and storming off to watching another associate argue with a customer about a return including talking over her and raising her voice to the most indifferent cashier not answering questions and looking bothered when I asked. i try to avoid writing bad reviews but it's time. i've been to several ulta's in atlanta and they were fine, but it's just THIS one i don't like. i only shop here for certain items that sephora doesn't sell. if sephora carried some items i look for at ulta, then i would have no reason to step foot into this ulta again. on several occasions i was never greeted upon entering the store or any sales associate ever approached me. another thing i've noticed is that many of the sales associates don't smile...like maybe one person every 5 visits or so. sometimes when i've made eye contact, it feels as if they're staring you down. specifically on my last visit yesterday evening, i walked the entire floor looking for someone's assistance. no one. NADA. so i asked a worker who was working on someone's face at the brow bar if there were any assistance available working the floor. at first she just stared at me in a meanmug way and then looked over to the front of the store and said someone will be coming soon. worst attitude ever experience from an employee & she could have cared less. you didn't even page someone or let anyone know that i needed assistance. my suggestion is that some of the employees should attend a customer service class with an added lesson for smilingggg.....if such a thing exists! that's it. i'm better off going to sephora or shopping online. read more

I came in looking for a Stela product (that I didn't know had just been discontinued). I searched around the store. Nothing.
