Bev is an awesome teacher as she focuses on a different part of the body each week so it never gets boring. This is mindfulness yoga so she emphasizes centering, a calm mind, and listening to your body so you don't go beyond your edge. She's great at responding to individual needs to perfect a pose and provide props. Class sizes are very small (max size is 4) so you get lots of individual attention. Cultivate Harmony may be the yoga you've been wishing for too.

She was super easy to talk to and did a free evaluation which included medical questions, my habits, lifestyle, experience with weights and what my goals are. I was impressed with how professional and thorough she was. I ended up signing up and it was worth it!!!! I didn't have much flexibility but after working with Melissa, I was able to lift heavy boxes over my head which helps when putting things in the attic and my grip strength also increased. I have worked with other trainers in the past and can say that Melissa is one of the best out there! I just started working with her to get more toned. I feel better and have gotten stronger. She measures every 4 weeks so looking forward to those numbers changing. I highly recommend Making Strydz!!

Understand the Terms Before Committing…read more Castle Rock Martial Arts offers a structured and engaging training experience, but as with any membership-based program, it's important to fully understand the terms before enrolling. After reading some of the other reviews, it seems that I share a similar experience with others regarding clarity around membership commitments and billing practices. In fact, 4 out of 14 reviews (including mine)(at this current time), which is over 28%, express concerns about the same issues. Understanding details such as contract terms, recurring charges, and the cancellation process can help prevent misunderstandings. Setting clear expectations from the start ensures a smoother experience.

For this reason making it near difficult to book classes we gave up. I give 3 stars because the app is terrible, the classes are okay, (very tight quarters if working out with strangers) and the hoops you have to go thru to cancel your membership. You must keep for a minimum of 6 months, I was told to pause my membership then told again to keep paying until my 6 months were up. $79 and $39 for my daughter. The amount of times you have to call and text to get a straight and clear answer as to how to cancel is tumultuous. Before committing to a 6 month membership I suggest (((try before you buy. Try a class or 2 for us it wasn't worth the hype.)))

Unfortunately there are not many dance schools in Castle Rock but I would not recommend Castle Rock…read moreDance Academy to anyone who wants a fair, supportive, and professional dance environment. My children experienced blatant favoritism, where the same students were constantly given opportunities while others were overlooked, no matter how hard they worked. The class leveling is a complete mess, students with vastly different skill levels are lumped together, making it impossible for anyone to truly progress. When their regular instructor is unavailable, the kids are often taught by high school students who are given too much power in this school. While these students are lovely, it feels more like I'm paying for babysitting rather than a real dance education. I believe this is closely tied to the owner's lack of maturity, which affects their ability to run a business and hire qualified dance instructors. The instructors rarely provide meaningful feedback to help students improve, leaving them to guess what they need to work on. The "highest ranking" ballet teacher who is also good friends with the owner, is extremely condescending and rude to anyone who isn't one of their favorites. More so, the teachers are immature and not properly trained, and openly discuss students with other students, which is completely unprofessional and damaging to young dancers' confidence. The schedule is never provided in a timely manner and constantly fluctuates, leaving parents at the mercy of the school's availability rather than allowing for proper planning. We were constantly told the schedule is coming out on X date, registration is coming on X date and this rarely happens and is usually delayed weeks. If you truly want your child to learn proper dance technique, and grow as a dancer, look elsewhere--this school is more about instagram than an actual dance education.

Kids classes (my son is 12) are held Monday through Thursday and also on Friday for those seeking to compete. The facility is clean, generally has a lot of space for the kids to warmup and then roll, and the professors all treat the kids respectfully - although they do push them to work hard and improve their technique. I want to especially commend Professor Gui and Professor Rebekah for all their positive interactions with my son. They both always make it a point to say hello and speak to him before class, asking how he is doing, how school is going, and just general questions about him. That personal touch has not gone unnoticed by me, and other parents have commented on the same for their children. Adult classes are also offered, and from the turn out I see each evening (classes begin immediately after the kids class, at 6pm) - the adult students are also impressed with the facility and instruction. Bom Jitsu is truly a family and I am glad to have found them in Castle Rock.
