    Doesn't work

This was our second visit to UFO Experience (my mom, my nephew, and I came last year too) and I have to say, I really like the new layout! The redecorating makes everything flow better, and it's still packed with fascinating UFO exhibits, fun photo ops, alien-themed tv show and movie memorabilia, and all kinds of cool, quirky things to explore. It's definitely one of the most unique attractions around. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't quite as magical as our first because a lot of the interactive exhibits were no longer working. The alien shooting gallery only had one working gun, and even that didn't keep score...it just flashed red and green lights while making gunfire sounds. The listening station had several damaged, missing, or broken headphones, and seemed to have fewer stations than last time. Out of the three View-Masters, only one worked. The moon bounce had large holes where the seams had split apart (which seemed like a tripping hazard), plus it was pretty dirty and even had a wad of gum stuck to it. There were also a few technology issues. The interactive touchscreen maps didn't respond at all and were missing buttons. One of the MUFON touchscreen displays was completely out of service, and while the other one turned on, trying to read the articles just brought up a login screen asking for a username and password that wasn't provided. I completely understand that it must be difficult to stay on top of maintenance, especially with the number of kids who probably aren't exactly gentle with everything. But that's also why I was surprised, because when we visited last year, everything was working and it made the experience so much more fun and immersive. I really hope they give the exhibits a little TLC because this place is genuinely awesome. It's such a fun, fascinating, one-of-a-kind attraction, and when everything is working the way it's supposed to, it's absolutely worth visiting. We'll definitely come back and hope to see it restored to the great experience we had the first time!

Staff quoted 45 min to 1.5 hours to get through this attraction. But honestly you can get through it within half an hour, even with eight different galleries, especially if you don't have kids with you. I don't think reading every single description is necessary because some share very similar details. The various rooms and exhibits included reports of sightings throughout the years, a "moon walk" which is just a jump house pillow (kids play), depictions of aliens through time, aliens in pop culture, a documentary about an abduction, items from the 1994 film Roswell on display, and of course a gift shop for all your alien needs (selling mainly toys, shirts, and water bottles). Also, speculation into the creation of pyramids across cultures as an indicator of alien encounters, including the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, Pyramid of the Sun in Mexico, Tomb of the General in China, and Borobudur Temple (world's largest buddha temple) in Indonesia, among others. It's a little bit of history, a little bit of sheer entertainment. The alien shooting range was cool, though only two of the 4 guns were working, some headphones for other interactive exhibits also broken/out of order. I did enjoy listening to a Jimmy Fallon recording as he interviewed Chris Colfer about a UFO sighting. So I wouldn't say you won't learn anything new here. The re-creations of characters and sets didn't look super cheap, so the quality of displays here wasn't bad. I thought it was worth checking out. And if you go with the right person, you'll probably enjoy a lot of it and have some laughs. If stuff wasn't broken during my recent visit, this would be a solid 4 stars IMO, good for a one-time experience.

Museum is amazing for the alien fans! Miss Debbie is so kind and the shop was nicely organized

Totally a waste of money. You can totally find all the information online and nothing special about it. Some of the tablets were not working. I would pay maybe 5 dollars to get in.

This was an interesting exhibit. It's a lot of reading and facts. Some cool looking alien figurines etc. Only one gun was working on the main "interaction". Sorry to say it Wasn't worth the money.

This hokey gem is located at the Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale. Tons and tons of ample parking. More than you'd ever know what to do with. Bring 18 of your closest friends. All of you take your own vehicle. See? Plenty of room. We had some time to kill and of all the attractions at the Arizona Boardwalk, this is one of the least expensive at $26/person. I know. We're in Arizona and inflation and blah blah blah. So you enter into the attraction and a large 10 foot alien dripping in slime immediately runs up and grabs you. Just kidding. That would be super cool, but it doesn't start like that. You actually cough up more of your hard-earned life savings and you're ushered into a room to watch a brief documentary on why you're here. And that adds to the hokey-ness. From there, you get to walk the exhibit and listen to real 911 calls, actual news press conferences and some factual accounts of UFO sightings and abductions. Now listen - I get the 1-star reviews. I do. But this isn't Disney World or Universal Studios. It's a hokey attraction in Scottsdale, Arizona that gets you out of the summertime heat. It is hokey. Very hokey. But I don't think it's meant to be this Award-Winning attraction. It's exactly what you make it out to be. My wife and I went here to kill some time, get out of the heat of the day with zero expectations. It was fun and some of it was actually quite interesting. I don't think I need to do it again, BUT at least I can say I've been.

Amazing and fun especially if you believe. One of my favorite things in Arizona. And has air conditioning

Visited my friend in az for the weekend! Looking for thing to do and we found this UFO museum. 10/10 recommend if hire looking for something interesting to do. Will definitely leave you wondering if aliens exist!

This was a really cool experience. It has a lot of UFO sightings from all over the world. It showed you when the first sightings happened. It showed you how they played a role in the movies. There's real life audio of phone calls calling 911 reporting UFOs. Whether you believe or not, this is definitely a fun experience.

Fun and interesting trip into the world of extratrestrials. Do you believe? Stories, photos, conspiracy theories and more. Some interesting things, movie memorabilia, displays, stories, and more.

Every room and installation was completely different, creative, interactive, and made you stop and look at things in a new way. The seating could definitely use an upgrade in every space. This would make a difference immediately and just on its own. The interactive rooms could use some support to hide the supports that create the structure for the display. Why? Seeing the display in certain ways detracts from being lost in the experience. I've been to a couple other exhibits like this and in at least one, the structure was hidden making it more immersive and 'trippy'. It's surprising to me actually, that in such a 'nice and fancy neighborhood' that the little things were lost. I won't go into the rooms much because it's better to experience in person. I love exhibits like this that are interactive and brain activating. They make you wonder and think.. we hence 'WONDER' spaces. Truly so unique and cool to see. *Maybe not worth nearly the cost. There's a variety of things to see, non the same. We sat in each room for min of 15 min with others being a little longer I think. I think if you like these kind of events, this is a great experience. Also, the staff were wonderful! So helpful and kind. Thankful for that! It was an easy check in process. Heads up to come early and figure out parking, there's tickets for every 15 minutes of entry but you have to get them online

Lots to see and learn here, and guided tours available at scheduled times, though I preferred to…read moreroam the museum at my own pace. Posters and film clips of westerns like A Man Called Horse (1970) and Clint Eastwood's The Outlaw Josie Wells (1976). Handcuffs of all kinds on display (more accurately described as "retaining devices") in a western themed set. Mac Schweitzer's impressive collection of artworks, including depictions of desert animals and the wild west, especially a multitude of horse pieces. Countless paintings and artifacts on the second level, portraying native american history, the buffalo, and the evolution of american west landscapes. Scenes of collective work in western life among cowboys, herders, and traders. I found Eddie Basha's cottonwood tree root carvings interesting. And I was especially a fan of "Rabbit Hunt" by Loren Phillips (Hopi). Fistful of Colors in the north gallery explored the diverse meanings of color, such as the term "feeling blue", and how colors tell stories, evoke emotions, and create connections. The room transitioned into displays of movie posters, explaining why those from different countries vary in the way they are presented. Interactive exhibits throughout allow visitors to learn about Shakespeare in the Old West, women of the rodeo, even a scavenger hunt to find "escaped animals" in the museum. I was amused by fun facts like the first circus (Ryland's traveling show) taking place in Tombstone Arizona Territory in 1880, or how the full saying of "Ay Chihuahua" translates to "Yikes! How many Apache Indians are there without sandals!", referring to Apache raiders like Geronimo invading northern mexico wearing calf-high deerskin moccasins. There was also a small sculpture garden outside and gift shop worth checking out before leaving.

Case in point: Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon with my mom to check out this museum that specializes in Western and Native American art. Here's what I really like: complimentary docent-led tours three times daily. We got to participate in two of them. They're a great way to get a more in-depth view of the museum. With that being said, even if you explore the museum on your own, you'll have a great time doing it. It's a two-level museum and there's plenty to read about and check out. We spent roughly three hours there and probably got through about 50% of the museum. Here's what I didn't like: they have two back-to-back video presentations in the small theater. They unfortunately weren't happening when I was there due to a private event. Bad luck on my part. Also, general admission is a bit pricey. Outside of the price, it's a fantastic museum. There's a complimentary parking lot across from the museum or you can find street parking. And it's a few blocks away from the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. You'll see Arizona's landscape represented in paintings, Native American artwork, Western movies, and much, much more. I'll definitely be back again!
