The energy at this gym is one of a kind! This isn't LA fitness or YouFit, the energy here is a "go hard or go home". It's definitely worth the membership. Started coming in August and I truly love this gym, overall it's an amazing, the workers are extremely nice, and management is prompt and efficient with any mechanical issues with the machines. There are two floors to the gym, providing more than enough space and equipment for members. The trainers here top of the line - super enthusiastic and they will motivate you to keep pushing towards your goal. This place is a 1000/10. It really sucks to see the negative reviews because this gym has completely changed post COVID. Take it from me, this gym is not for everybody, but it's great for someone who trains daily, is 100% dedicated to their health and fitness, and/or into kickboxing, mma, or any fighting sport. Howeverrrrrr this isn't a community center (read a comment about not having a pool?) so don't expect it to be. Below are my personal thoughts on the pro and cons about UFC Midtown. Pros: - 24 hours Monday thru Thursday From previous reviews it's seems that wasn't the case. However they are now! Friday they close at 11pm and Saturday and Sunday until 8pm. - Recovery Center They extended their hours! Previously I used the recovery center on the weekends and they would close by 1pm. Now they are open Monday thru Friday from 7am-9pm and Weekends 8am-5pm, allowing people to get the most of their membership when they have recovery included. - Free Parking They changed their parking validation process. Now once you check in to the garage you automatically get two hrs free with the gym. No need to get your parking validated which is so much better tbh! - Guest Pass and Day Pass You can either add it to your membership or pay at the register. I hate to be a negative Nancy, and maybe I'm just a little bougie when it comes to gyms, but UFC was not it. The machines are old. Some of them are literally ripping at the seams. The seats, whether leather or vinyl or whatever material they are made of, are torn up and honestly feel like they desperately need to be replaced. I sat down on one machine and I kid you no I started getting a rash afterward, which says a lot about how dirty things felt. The bathrooms were okay, and the gym itself is pretty spacious, so I'll give credit where it's due. For the location, it's probably the cheapest membership option around. If you're on a tight budget, I can see why this might be your only or best choice. Parking is a bit annoying. The garage is super tight going both down and up. It seems like parking is free, but when I went the entrance gate wasn't working and was just wide open soo I'm not totally sure what the normal situation is. read more

I joined last summer and was initially impressed with the facility, but the billing management has been a nightmare. Katriel signed me up for a guest pass and assured me both memberships would be billed on the same day. That never happened. For over 6 months +, I've been hit with late fees because their systems aren't synced. I've spoken to multiple "managers" who offer no help, and the front desk staff was incredibly rude and dismissive when I asked to either fix the date or cancel. They'd rather punish the customer with fees than fix their own administrative errors. read more

Stay away. My work wellness benefit expired when I moved and I received no notice from UFC that my month-to-month account lapsed until collections reached out 6 months later. I'd expect a more proactive approach from a gym, not fighting for every last penny at the expense of long term relationships. Honestly, the machines and the gym are super old and dirty. It's supposed to be a boxing gym but they barely have any boxing classes. Lots of the bags are broken and they overbook the classes so not everyone gets a bag during class. The classes are super unorganized and the instructor always starts the class late which cuts into your workout time. Management is terrible at replying when there is an issue. Definitely save your money and go to any other gym in Miami. read more

They have the best fit staff and customer service. The best way to get to meet others in Miami if you like to meet new people or not if you're in to your own space. I've been to many gyms across the states from California, Reno Nevada, Vegas Nevada , Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Louisiana, Chicago, New York, and North Carolina and this one caught my eyes and I've been able to bring many friends and family to join me in my journey to bring me back to my body building career. Review: 2/5 Stars I've been a member here for a few years, and while there are some positives -- few of the trainers are good -- the overall experience has been really disappointing. On the plus side, the sense of community is strong, and there's usually enough equipment available so you don't have to wait long. However, that's where the good ends. Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh any positives. First, an employee charged my card on file over $1,000 without my permission. When I noticed the charge and asked for a refund, I was told they "couldn't" process it, and it took over a month to get my money back. That level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is shocking. And if you look at other reviews, you'll see this management team rarely takes ownership for their mistakes. They often reply with generic customer service responses without ever addressing the actual problems or showing that they're taking steps to improve. The facility itself is poorly maintained. Something is always broken. Today, for instance, the A/C is out, and when it is working, you can bet the elevator will be down. There's also zero communication about these issues. Don't bother calling ahead to check either--no one picks up, and if they do, they just refer you to the website for answers, which is beyond frustrating. I travel a lot and have been to other locations, and this is by far the worst. The positive reviews here feel like either a fluke or from employees because they do not reflect my experience AT ALL. Beyond the community aspect, this place is subpar on cleanliness for example--the equipment is dirty, the floors look barely mopped, mirrors are filthy, no one re-racks their weights and the ceiling and vents are in such rough shape it feels like a respiratory hazard waiting to happen -- #healthdepartment. If this location could prioritize professionalism, cleanliness, and transparency, it might be worth the membership. As it stands, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Worked out for the first time here. Actually surprised how clean the facility was for it being a commercial gym and I was able to workout and find the equipment and dumbbells with no issues. Employees were courteous and very helpful to any questions I had regarding the gym, they went has far to give me a good promotion deal for signing up that came with classes at an amazing low price! I used to love working out at the UFC in kendall so you can imagine how excited I was to hear that a closer location was opening in midtown. This location has only been open for a week so I'll be updating this review in due time. For the most part people are wearing masks and the employees are keeping the sanitation stations well stocked. They also have towels for your use but VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES which is understandable as they are still stocking up on their equipment. [What I like] -Parking is free with validation (don't forget your ticket) -Plenty of gym equipment and it's brand new -Squat racks -Bench racks -Powerlifting area with wooden platform woot woot! -A great mix of heavy duty machines and free weights. - fun section to flip tires and push a sled - the classes seem fun (haven't taken one yet I'm easing in as I remember how hardcore those classes can be lol) [What I don't like] -They aren't open 24/7.... YET. -No BJJ!!! And it sounds like they never will offer that option. I know right now with COVID this isn't an option but to not offer it at a later date sucks. Come on you need some sort of actual martial art outside of the group cardio classes. -No sauna/steam room. Instead you can opt to use their hydro massage/cryotherapy/muscle gun massage area which comes at an additional premium to your membership. (I was told roughly $50-70 more a month from the base membership) -no pool -not that I care but others might, no spin style/peloton style bikes read more

UFC midtown should think about finding good responsible people to work there. The staff that they have at this moment is very rude and not willing to help. The worst part is that when you sign up, they don't explain anything about the rules after you become a member they just make up rules depending of the day and their mood. My wife was bringing her friends and clients to introduce them to the UFC gym. The way they show her appreciation is by canceling her membership telling her that she was breaking the rules by helping her friends with the machines and positions and told her that she could not take videos during her workouts. She has been a member since 2022 and never had problems with the previous management and staff. And now they have a new management and they just come up with new rules. And refuse to give her back the rest of the money that she paid for the year. According to management it is against their policy. They do that because they know that if you try to do some thing about by getting a lawyer involved it will cost you more than what they would have to give you back. read more

I joined this gym on August so far I still love it! It has so much space, every fitness equipment you need, my Favorite are the classes!!!!! I joined because of the classes! Their equipment has quality! The people who go are friendly is a different vibe but a good vibe you want to be around them. I love how clean it is, love all the coaches they all are very professional and friendly always trying to help to reach your goal. Staff are friendly always welcome you with smile. They have clean towels, Parking garage on 3 floor. Also, very important if an equipment doesn't work they immediately fix it in the same week. The staff have everything under control and I like that. I was not surprised to see DOZEN'S of reviews explaining the same terrible experience that occurs at UFC GYM in Midtown. DO NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of nice gyms in the area do not get involved you will regret it. Basically I travel a lot so I called in to pause my membership, and to call about some extra charges I saw on my account. They told me they were sorry about the extra charges, and that they would give me a free month and also that I would be paused so I will not be charged for 3 months. (2 months paused and 1 month free) I was then proceeded to be charged the next 2 months .... I then called in after each charge and they apologized again, and I specifically then asked to speak to Johnny, the General Manager who signed me up. He even said don't worry we will make this right, I'll call you soon. I received no calls from Johnny so I actually went INSIDE to handle this. I spoke to Johnny in person, and he said I would receive the refund an email confirming all of this. Still nothing. So at that point I called in to cancel my membership and I stopped in AGAIN yesterday to have Johnny pawn me off to one of his new staff members who explained to me she called corporate and there's nothing they can do. The options in this area are tough but wish I avoided this dumpster fire of a gym. The equipment is run down and broken in some cases. There isn't alot of equipment either. It also gets super crowded & the clientele is pretty rough. They will definitely try over charging you and always blame the corporate software, so keep an eye on what they are deducting monthly. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM - I am so annoyed, I joined this gym before they opened its doors. They were extremely delayed on opening and then of course covid happened. From the very beginning, I was promised a special price due to the number of people I referred as well as the pre opening promo - never ever got this price. I finally went once, I did not like the classes so I decided to cancel. The manager assured me he canceled (back in June/July), I am still getting charged!! I have contacted them every single month and still keep getting charged. This is beyond ridiculous. DO NOT JOIN unless you plan on never leaving this gym because they will keep charging you! This gym is extremely unprofessional, I don't understand what is so difficult about canceling my membership - there's absolutely no customer service and no one has escalated my request. Did I mention, there's "no contract". If you own this gym or manage it, do me a favor and reimburse me for all the months of unauthorized charges I have & please cancel my account. Plenty of cardio machines, free weights, cable machine, and trx bands. A few staff members were nice (Ray the mgr) and operations mgr. Bathroom was clean, spray bottles and paper towels around the gym to wipe down the equipment. Social distancing in effect for the cardio machines (every other machine is closed for social distancing.) Free garage parking with validation. I personally enjoyed working out here with my bro. I was able to get 6 other people to join this gym and got my monthly lowered. This deal stopped after my 3rd person I recommend. Cons: Pricing. I joined months before the gym was open and I was paying $52.43 with the 3 people I recommend. My brother who joined after paid $80. My brother-in-law who joined after my bro pays $70. My cousin-in-law joined and after all of us and was promised to pay $75 and then $30 when January 2021 came. Bottomline is, we all had the same exact plan. We were all entitled to the same equipment but we all joined at different times. They definitely need to get their system together because it's a total rip off for their customers. Complete and utter lack of professionalism. Less than 24 hours after sign-up, I received two unsolicited inquiries for personal training. I politely declined both. The latter trainer took offense, screenshot the innocuous convo, then tried to send the image to a third-party. Missing the ballpark of obvious, the girl, Karen (living up to her meme name), instead sent me the image with a vulgar insult about me. I have since written to corporate. At this time, management, to my awareness, has not removed this employee. Be wary. I usually love the gym and taking the kick boxing class but now I barely want to go to this gym because I don't like the new layout. And I'm very upset that they moved the kickboxing equipment it's extremely uncomfortable to try to do kickboxing in the hit room because the bags are way to close together and to back up sometimes you'll hit the wall or not everyone can hear and see the instructor because of the walls and the spacing it's to uncomfortable. I wish you guys would switch it back and since you haven't gotten that many new bikes place the new ones in the hit room. Also was hoping that you guys would remove a few treadmills because it's excessive amount and add at least one assault runner pro and a new hip thrusting machine that doesn't come with the assisted back board it's uncomfortable to do hip thrusters with that machine. And please change the layout of the equipment it feels to claustrophobic. read more

WARNING! Trainers are scammers. The experience was horrible. UFC GYM is a franchise so not all UFC is like this one. I was tricked into playing $129 membership fee when I wasn't supposed to pay anything since my health insurance covers everything. I tried to get my money back from them and wasn't able to. I had to do a dispute through my bank. This place has dishonest employees/trainers working. I ready reported them to BBB so that this doesn't happen to other people. I joined the gym when it first opened. I was patient and understanding as they could not match my needs (they literally just opened). The recovery team ask me to be patient and wait a week while they hired new individuals. By the third day the gym didn't fit my needs and I wanted to cancel as I never really got to use the gym/services. No one could provide guidance on how to go about it... I had to call multiple times. Eventually to received guidance. (Day 5) The team confirmed via email of a cancellation/refund of my contract. The staff was not trained on how to handle refunds... they asked for one to be patient and wait a month for the refund to take effect. After the "said" time passed. They communicated that they will not refund any money ($300) because you had so many days to cancel (blah blah blah) literally providing a Florida law on why they weren't going to refund me the money. In conclusion, I followed instructions and got screwed (lawyered). Personally, I would avoid the gym. Demonstrated bad culture and customer service. I would avoid the headache. The staff was not trained to provide the proper guidance to make an informed decisions. Culture is everything and they clearly do not understand that...you are only, but a number. read more

Horrible experience. After paying about $100 a month, the machines were breaking and were not getting fixed. Customer service is awful. They all look like deer in head lights when told machines were broken. I cancelled my membership because it was not what I was promised and now they are charging me $850 to get out of the contract. I have a big issue with this gym !!! They keep charging me even when I am not part of the gym since Sept 2020. I cancel the membership and back on October 2020 I received an email with charges from the UFC Midtown for $313.00 dollars for additional services, and I have not idea what is this. they don't even explain what it is. I have a no commitment membership I have pay as you go , monthly payments of $73 dollars , went two months didn't like and canceled on October 2020 In January I staring getting emails from ABC financial regarding a negative balance on my UFC account. Called them and they told me the only ones that can fix this are the managers at the gym In order to get this issue fix I need to go to the gym directly , which I did, I spoke with the blond manager and she said she will contact the financial office and will keep in touch with me to fix this issues, never heard from her after that day Worst place ever !! read more

Do not sign up for a membership here!!! In order to cancel, they are telling me I need to pay the annual fee three times (I was a member for less than a year). I asked Rodrigo where it says in the contract that I had to do that and he couldn't point it out and just said I had to...???They will slap on a bunch of additional charges that are nowhere in the contract and no one can tell you anything about it. Corporate even confirmed that UFC Midtown was incorrect in what they're trying to charge me and yet they're still pursuing me. Please read the negative reviews and look at their rating on Better Business Bureau before going for a membership here (it has an "F" rating). I truly regret signing up for a membership here. Signed up back in august because the "coach" who clearly was on steroids and knew nothing about martial arts to told me that my membership would carry over to the gym closer to me!! After being told by the other ufc gym jay they swindled me and lied I have been trying to cancel my account and now $500 later it appears they have taken note of my number and stopped answering my calls!! Tried to contact corporate which was impossible!! This "business" is the most unprofessional I've ever come across after frequenting dozens of martial arts gyms throughout my life!!
