My teens have been training at this gym for a few months and they really enjoy it! They especially enjoy Jordan and Mikes classes. Both of these coaches have gone above and beyond for my children and have really boosted their confidence. My 3 boys have had a membership here since opening. We are involved in many other sports so we don't come as often as we'd like, but we get there as often as we can to keep their Jujitsu skills fresh. I started training here a few months ago with my son who enrolled in boxing to deal with bullies in middle school. I have previous martial arts training but have concentrated on the conditioning classes for boxing, kickboxing, and HIIT. My son stopped going to boxing but I've stayed on because of the great workouts and the dedication of the instructors. I highly recommend this if you're interested in an alternative fitness workout from former MMA fighters and other combat martial artists. read more

Don't judge a gym by name or wait for it... it's Yelp reviews. I read all these reviews and decided to see for myself what UFC Folsom was all about. From the moment I walked In, everyone has been really nice and helpful. Starting with JJ giving my kids and I multiply passes to try each class and see what was the best fit for our family. My son loves the youth classes and he asks to go here every day. The manager, Derek is really helpful and wants people to meet their fitness goals while running a successful business. He's very involved and listens to the members : he just added a new boxing coach and 4 new boxing classes. Lucas is super patient and the kids flock to his classes because he has a lot of energy, but he is also training them to be their best. I took JJ and Olsen's KickBoxing classes and I learned a lot! I used muscles that needed a good tone up from not being used in a while. My advice : When you are thinking of joining : ask to take a couple classes at different times to see which ones you like/what times work for your schedule. Buy retail on the day you sign up: 20% off that day! I bought boxing gloves for my son and a few new outfits for myself- who's not more motivated to work out when you get new stuff?? Get some personal training sessions. I know I know....even if you think you don't need them; this place teaches a lot of skills that are not offered at every gym. Even if your gym does offer similar classes - you may not be doing the moves right. UFC Folsom does not want you to get hurt doing something the wrong way. Last call: Don't be intimidated to just go in- go in and see for yourself. They have all kinds of classes and it's family friendly. But in some cases, the UFC environment may invite the inner boxer to release in all of us. read more

Don't do it. They try to nickel and dime you for everything. I took a class I thought was on my membership, but it turns out it was not. They charged me $40 for it. They also have a $300 fee for leaving the gym after you realize that it is a ripoff. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

This review is in regards to management and not the trainers at all as I haven't used the gym. Just before Christmas I purchased a Christmas special that included a month of training for my son and a kit of some gloves and a couple other things so he had something to open on Christmas but when I told his mom what I got she didn't approve so the next day I tried to return it the guy working there said he needed to talk to management and took my number but then never called. When I returned to see why I was never called and what the outcome would be I was denied the refund with an explanation that it was because there was merchandise included but I had the unused and unopened merchandise with me to return and was never called because they forgot. I see several reviews posting issues with management and billing at this gym so be very careful about giving them your money. read more

Horrible communication and service, stay away from this company and the owner. I tried cancelling multiple times. I they made it sound like I was successful by following their steps... It turns out they charged me for a whole year and they were not notifying me about the charges because they had the wrong email. STAY AWAY THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Overpriced training and will not refund you your money. Find other local gyms, this franchise just sees you as another number. I called multiple times and there was zero documentation. Laziness was the reason they did not document my calls. How you do one thing is how you do everything. They just don't run an honest business that refunds you. Or avoids cancelling. I was intimidated for years to even be brave enough to walk into a cross fit or MMA style gym. I received a week trial in the mail and decided to give it a try. I was brave and tried kickboxing and some of the Boot Camp style classes... Billy Brand was an amazing instructor... as well as Mike and Jordan... Can't say enough good things about this place! They should rename the gym to UFC Folsom Kids Gym as a kid it's a fun place to be,as an adult the depressing atmosphere is very obvious as soon as you walk in the door and the owner has you believing it's a positive environment because you don't know any better,give it time. Catering to kids is his only way of supporting the gym that at one time was thriving but Mark the Owner is losing members cause his way of dealing with clients that have a legitimate concern about his way of doing business and screwing over the members is to cancel their membership. For a middle aged guy in decent shape, There are still plenty of things I can learn and this place has it all. Excellent trainers that are extremely knowledgable about all kinds of mixed martial arts. It is extremely clean with brand new equipment and a wonderful Setting for life altering fitness. Definitely do not recommend this place to anybody!!!!!!! Would definitely not recommend going here. The manager here is extremely unprofessional along side not knowing how to properly run a business. We placed our account on pause they charged us anyways we asked for a refund we were not refunded with it. We also paid first and last months when signing up and we went to cancel we were also charged again or a total of $300. They don't do any refunds. This place is just a money pit. And if you look at the reviews on Google they also say the same thing they'll tell you one thing and do another. I went in here and tried kickboxing. I had the best time ever and enjoyed every session even if I was sore for days after. I signed up 2 months ago, when they were still soft opening. I started from nothing with no previous experience in any sort of martial arts and ended up knowing the basics. The gym is huge enough that it can take 4 classes simultaneously plus all equipments are new and clean. The gym provides real training even if you are total beginner, they tailor the lessons to your experience level. The trainers are all professional and are very focused on teaching the techniques, pushing you as hard as you can. They never left you on a side. I highly recommend this gym for sure for anyone looking for a hardcore workout or if your just looking for new workout routine and have fun. I have never released so much sweat in a fitness session. Management or lack thereof . So took a class. I had a week free pass . When i wa about to leave the guy at the front desk asked me do i wanna sign up. I was ltelli g my self i need to incorporate boxing back into my workoutd so i signed up. It seemed pricy but i was like " f*ck it" . I signed up and the guy with the cauliflower ear was being super nice and started telling me about all me i mate see some other charges for like tissue and and cleaning supplies for the gym once a year etc etc . I still signed up and he seemed happy. I talk to several other people who attend the gym and one who use to be employed there and they all told me i was over charged. I proceeded to continue to workout for the remainder of the month but i knew i was gonna cancel because i wasn't happy with being over charged. I called to cancel a week before the next bulking cycle so i do t get charged again and the cauliflower ear guy at the front desk told me i have to come in. I went in and he tried to get me to freeze my account but i told him no i wanna cancel and he seemed aggravated. He got the paper we signed it and he cut the bottom piece off for me and i thought everything was squared away. I recently received a call from them thinking they were trying to sign me back up and a email . Boy was i wrong. They were contacting me to update my payment. They never canceled my membership and i still got charged for a month and they were trying to get ANOTHER MONTH!!! I contacted the gym they took my number down and said they were gonna call me back and never did. I called a few days after that and they said you are canceled , idk what you are talking about. Apparently they canceled me because i called and complained about them still charging me but i wanted my refund also. The individual i was on the phone with kept making excuses about management and a refund. I kept picking with him and he was like " oh yea it's a note in here that you came in and cancelled " I'm like well the date should be the computer and he said "yea it was two days ago ." So whoever answered the phone that day officially canceled me when i had to call and complain about them trying to charge me again and getting my refund the first time. I just read several other reviews that they have done this to many other people. It's pathetic , stealing and deceptive . This place is a great place to workout if you are not a fan of regular gyms like me. They have great classes and great trainers. Kids love their classes here. The GM is a big help and explains everything in detail about your membership. All levels are welcome here. I love the personal training appointments. I go just about everyday. I love the tires and sleds you can use to flip and push. My niece and I have been members since February 2020 and she loves it just as much as I do. read more

The trainers are all phenomenal and great to work with. Don't be intimidated by the UFC name.
