They're always so excited for training, like it's the best part of the day. I watched them train for so long and finally thought, "Why am I just sitting here watching?". So I joined the adult classes too! Now I've been training for about a year, even competed, and I honestly love how Jiu Jitsu has become such a big part of our family life. Chad and Sara are amazing coaches, and everyone at Precision is so welcoming, supportive, and always willing to help. We're so happy to be part of the Precision family!

The first time, the owner told me to always check Instagram for updates, so I made sure to do that last night. Today, I showed up again and found the doors locked! I re-checked their Instagram only to see that they posted just before midnight about a cancellation today. It's frustrating because I was excited to try a boxing studio so close to home. It takes motivation to even get the confidence to try a new boxing studio, let alone get there and give it a second chance. I'm not willing to give it a third chance after wasting so much time and energy. The owner needs to be more on top of things. Update the schedule online and give more notice of cancellations; not just post last-minute on Instagram.

My concern would be at night it would be enough light since it is in the back of the building. The outside of the building somewhat not welcoming. I didn't know where to go except I saw the logo. The prices are about the same, you're supporting a local business, and the value at Niavaroni's is so much better. Niavarani's is professional, VERY welcoming to females, adults, and youths of all shapes, levels, and sizes I like the management. The instructors are all amazing (EZRA REGAN is my favorite...you're AWESOME!!!). This is what I love most: I can go into a class for an hour, come out drenched in sweat, get an amazing work out, and feel great afterward. And the best part about Niavoroni's: When I come here, I feel like I'm part of a family.

Every week we would improve or learn. Now that he is gone, it just isn't the same. Now, the gym is focused primarily on boxing. There is very little new instruction in the way of kickboxing, and I don't think I've seen clinching (a large part of Muay Thai) even mentioned since. The sessions are very formulaic, and have very little variation anymore. Some calisthenic warm up, a round of shadow boxing, some running drills, a little bag work, then no/light contact basic punch drills with a partner. Then the same ab routines and maybe some jump rope. In general, the above isn't really a problem if it was just a cardio burn class offered at the local gym - but this is a dedicated boxing/kickboxing gym that commands a price 2-3x higher than your average gym membership. One thing that does give them a distinct advantage is the hourly class schedule. They run a lot of classes!

I saw a 10 day set on groupon and swooped it up. Gil is the owner and he is a former boxer himself. This is his gym. It's a down to earth gym but a lot of the times as an adult you get 2:1 or 4:1 time with Gil for the training session. He also works with you if you're feeling weaker. There's a good combination of pushing you and knowing where your limits are. He makes sure I am conditioning my arms with other exercises like the row machine, bench press and more since my arms a little bit weaker. But I rock the jump ropes! Haha. They also have free gloves to wear... of course they are a little bit sweaty from prior use, but then again would you really want to box at a fancy gym? No! They monopolize equipment while waiting for the perfect shot, record people who never agreed to be on camera without asking permission or blurring faces, and some even mock other members who are simply there to work out. Personally, I'd be fine with gyms banning filming altogether. That said, most people who occasionally record a set are respectful and considerate of those around them. The real problem is the small group of self-absorbed "influencers" who ruin the experience for everyone else. This Gold's Gym deserves a lot of credit for taking a stand. They removed one of these obnoxious, narcissistic "influencers" after her disruptive behavior while filming. They should be applauded for making the **vast majority** of lifters feel like their gym experience matters more than someone's social media content. The next time I'm in Citrus Heights, I'll absolutely buy a day pass and work out here. They deserve the business for doing what so many lifters wish every gym would do.

Sure I could join a gym or use the gym at my apartment complex, but I want something different, new, fun. I found Fit Spot by using another social media site (sorry Yelp) Meetup Sacramento! What caught my eye: "FREE WORKOUT"! I'm on a budget and thought yeah, lets give it a go! Fit Spot offers several classes. Cardio Dance, FitCamp, Yoga, ABSolutely Bootylicious Class, Zumba, Muay Thai, and the occasional hike or fitness outing in nature. Fit Spot also offers something very cool, a smoothie bar! There are 35 different smoothie flavors and they are made with Herbalife products. The first sample is free, after that it's $7. Now what the $7 includes is a Aloe drink shot, a pre-workout tea, and post-workout smoothie. The smoothie is quite filling and is basically a meal replacement, not to mention - YUMMY! For $7 you are getting a healthy treat AND a serious workout! Friday I took the Cardio Dance class that had me sweating pretty good. Monday night I took the beginner Yoga class which was totally awesome! Tonight I did the ABSolutely Bootylicious Class....which believe me was NOT EASY! I love how each class is challenging, is a full hour, and the various instructors are really knowledgeable and patient with all levels of fitness. Hiromi Moore is the organizer of this establishment and very welcoming. What she is offering is simply this: "We are group of people who want to help the community live a healthy active lifestyle through the movement called "Shape Up Sacramento" We Love to help people change their lives by giving them a supportive environment to get healthy!" These classes are actually FREE and what is important to her is living a healthy lifestyle. She doesn't REQUIRE you to buy the smoothies, but $7 is a great deal in my book AND you are supporting a LOCAL business. They are now offering Nutrition Classes with a free health assessment and a Fit Challenge that will start August 28th. What are you waiting for Yelpers?? Lets get MOVING! :D
