I just bought 2 muffins and they are like 1 week old . Hard and old you can tell right away .

$2 something for a bagel, $6.99for a bagel with flavored cream cheese. An entire 1/2 lb of cream cheese is also sold separately for 6.99. Must be a lot of cream cheese on that bagel, right? Nope. This was my $7.00 bagel with cream cheese. Not even enough cream cheese to cover both sides of a bagel. This place is dead to me- will never be back. read more

This bakery is super cute, very neat and clean with very lovely employees, some even speak Spanish! They have a good selection of both bagels and pastries, they're made fresh and taste great. I was welcomed with a smiled, greeted and send off with a smile as well, will recommend to grab breakfast to eat in or to go! read more

Cute little bakery that offers fresh baked goods and salads and sandwiches. They specialize in bagels and the aroma is amazing. The staff is less than excited or helpful and seem to do the bare minimal. The bagel sandwich we had was fresh and packed with lots of yummy turkey breast. We also had a chopped salad which was less than great. The grilled chicken was so sparse you had to triple check for it, the tomatoes were pink and the rest of the ingredients were subpar. The only reason for three stars was for bagel and cold cuts. Parking is in tear as street parking is awful They do take credit card read more

Wow this place has gone downhill. Just got 2 bagels with cream cheese for $15 and they couldn't even get the cream cheese (plain) correct. Massive language barrier and absolute joke - Look how appetizing my $8 bagel looks: read more

What a bunch of crooks. Two months ago a bagel with flavored cream cheese was $5.95. Now its $7.50. I know producing a bagel costs 50 to 60 cents. Way to stick it to the local community. It was my last visit. Stay away. Go somewhere else. read more

Orders are always wrong. Never clean, smelly and sticky. Would not recommend to anyone!!

Ordered food delivered. It was good. Bagels are very good. What more can I say. Yelp is annoying because I have to keep typing to make this long enough yo post read more

This place has become a sad joke and a rip-off. We know inflation is hard but since you did Jack up your prices substantially at least have the decency to provide clients with what they ordered. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox and got ZERO smoked salmon on it. Look at the attached picture. Whoever made it should be embarrassed. Don't go here and get ripped off as I did. read more

Love there food but hate their in person customer service. I stood on line waited my turn and instead of taking my order he looks over me to the customer behind me and proceeds to take their order. I spoke up and told him I was in line first. He rushed me through my order. As I waited for my order the other server serves me an incorrect order. With visible frustration he corrected it. I order via Grubhub all the time. Decided to walk in today. They lost a customer. Like I said loved the food but hate the customer service. read more

If there was an option for zero stars.... then that's what I would choose. Fruit flies feasting on baked good in the glass case (beware of food poisoning), egg from a carton for your sandwich needs....... and an extra $5 for a untoasted, (asked for toasted) store bought gluten free bagels. Nothing was made by scratch. Latte tasted like burnt American drip! Basically I could've gotten better food at a Holiday inn express! $30 bucks of hard earned , money crapped out my butt! read more

This location cancelled a $50 UberEats order because they were out of blueberry muffins. The UberEats app said I had 10 minutes to respond but the restaurant cancelled the order before I could make changes. I called the restaurant and asked for the manager, which I was informed there wasn't one and "he would be back later" and put me on hold -- but they didn't and I could hear them joking about me wanted to speak to the manager. Extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

So good been eating here since I was little .and I still love it .service is fast and is good .

Solid bagel spot in Darien. Have only tried the sesame bagel and haven't had any of the bagel sandwiches get. The bacon egg and cheese looked delicious and hearty! Will have to try again soon. read more

Got my order wrong (had a similar name to what they gave me). They forgot to add the onion to my sandwich, didn't have the bread I had asked for, and added bacon that wasn't on the menu. I can't eat bacon, so I had to give my $10 sandwich away. There was also ketchup and mayo on the sandwich when it was supposed to be Russian dressing. Meat is poor quality for the price. Overpriced and not accurate, so I won't be back. read more

Jesus and staff were great and the bagels are so good fresh and soft. Amazing area, great for anytime breakfast.

We love to get bagels from here every Sunday morning, however there is always something wrong with the order. After this happened once, my husband starting presenting a written copy of our order, which also didn't help. We communicated this issue and were told to place our order online to avoid any mistakes. No problem! We placed a super-simple order online this morning for a half dozen bagels and some cream cheese. Can't get easier than that, and the order was STILL WRONG. What is happening over there?!? We don't get it. Accidents happen on occasion, but every week?? C'mon, Guys. read more

Love the bagels here. moved out of state 2013 and haven't had even an ok bagel since! wish I could get delivery to NH!!

5 stars for the bagel & Lox Minus 1 star for the microwaved egg :( The bagel was as close to a Jersey Bagel as I could find around here! I got the "OG" through Uber Eats with Nova Scotia Lox, cream cheese & red onion! The lox was fresh & delicious. I subbed the cream cheese with light veggie cream cheese! That was super flavorful as well! I put it on a blueberry bagel & it was crunchy & a strong fresh blueberry flavor! My boyfriend got a double egg & cheese on a blueberry bagel! The bagel was good but it was a giant puffy egg.... It was all yellow, probably scrambled beforehand & then thrown into the microwave. I saw the reviews of people saying the eggs were microwaved but we had no clue that it would come out a giant fluff patty of straight yolk....... My boyfriend took most of it out :/ However, in the future now we know not to get the eggs... LOL. But overall, happy with the bagel!! read more

I didn't eat lunch at my jobsite's cafeteria, so I figured I'd just get something on the way back to the city. I wanted an easy sandwich so when I saw "...Bagel Company & Deli", I figured that this would work. Well it did. At first I asked for a scoop of the pesto chicken. That had a very decent flavor, but unfortunately there was that little bit of cartilage that you sometimes get with a chicken sandwich. That was a definite turnoff and if I had had a whole sandwich this review would have been horrible. The cartilage issue then brought me to my second choice...the Hell Fire Chicken. This was not bad. It definitely wasn't "Hell Fire", but it did have a zip to it. It's like eating a basic medium level hot wing on a long roll. In the end, I got what I wanted and the other food looked good enough to come back again. Besides the place was clean and inviting. So don't let the critical New Yawker review deter you.. read more

I've lived in Manhattan and had a lot of bagels and somehow UCBC stands up to them all. My parents literally only visit me because of the bagels (I think). Not too fancy - just great bagels. I honestly love their products coffee, bagels, chopped salads are delicious. Except that I order food for pickup at locations and almost never do they have my order ready. Disappointed after my first visit. Came in on a Saturday for lunch expecting to get a yummy salad. Turns out they do not serve salads on the weekends. I ordered a turkey avocado sandwich on a wrap and it was not very good. Way too much mayonnaise and the wrap did not taste very good in itself. I hear the bagels are good so maybe I'll have to come back and try one of those. As for the food, atmosphere, and service though, it wasn't very impressive. read more

I've been coming here for over two decades. This review is less about the food which is quite good, but honestly I order like the same three bagels every time I go so that's on me. Extremely disappointed in this place. I work nearby and there aren't many options for inexpensive food that is also relatively healthy. I saw on their website that they offer customizable salads that were priced much lower than the overrated salads at the nearby Panera, so I thought it would be a good lunch option. However, I have yet to purchase a salad from this place as I was told on a Saturday that salads are only offered during the week. I came back again on a Tuesday at 2:30 looking to buy lunch for me and my coworker and was told that salads are only available until 2pm. Are you kidding me?! Something as simple as a salad bar should NOT have this many restrictions. And may I say that NOWHERE on their website OR in the cafe itself is there ANY mention of these rules. The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the bagel I purchased was actually very good. It was about the same price as a bagel and cream cheese from the Dunkin across the street, but much tastier and actually fresh. read more

I'll never, ever understand(or accept), why every bagel place in lower Fairfield Country microwaves raw eggs in tupperware as the preparation. For one, it's just disgusting. That is not cooking. Two, it's horribly unhealthy as the heated plastic leeches into the eggs and releases carcinogens - hence, cancer. Is it seriously that difficult to get a griddle and fry up some eggs quickly especially in an establishment that has a kitchen! It's actually quicker on a griddle and 100 times more tasty. This place, Liz Sue's in Stamford, Village bagel in Stamford, list goes on, all the same. Microwaved eggs. Disgusting. Someone would do well to open a proper bagel shop where they prepare food properly. If you're in Darien and want an egg sandwich, then just go to Uncle's Deli. They have bagels and make their eggs on a griddle right in front of you. read more

We stop in every weekend so know the place well. Pros: Excellent fresh bagels consistently. Location is very convenient and great parking in rear. Ice coffee stands out and especially in the warmer months. Cons: At times the counter help can be a bit disorganized. If you come in later on a weekend morning they run out of certain bagels and you are forced to order your second or even third choice (if a particular bagel is popular why not make a larger quantity of them?) Lastly, there's a play area for small children- while this sounds like a nice touch- children can be become VERY loud while playing, disturbing what would have been a nice, quiet, relaxing breakfast (especially painful if you are nursing a hangover). There are plastic building blocks that the children use- they will build very tall towers and then it comes crashing down. We would recommend different toys if the "play pen" is a must. To be fair- one again- we are STEADY regulars at this establishment and really do enjoy their bagels and service. However the cons we listed happen on a regular basis. read more

One would think that a business providing service would not roll their eyes at me and be annoyed when asked to cut the bagels for a kids school breakfast. The two men working at 9:30am on Thursday May 26, 2016 should be replaced with people who care about customer service a bit more or go through some pretty intensive training before being unleashed on the public. read more
