I did not have high expectations going in here as you see those shady places in the mall etc.. The gentleman behind the counter was professional and they obviously have been doing this for a long time. My phone screen was toast and I needed to get some info off of it. He offered to let me use a screen for $50 and get all my info off to my new phone and then he would just put the broken screen back. Considering the cost of a new screen is 300, this was good news. I spent a good hour or more trying to get some encrypted info off my phone. I needed to do more research but the technician was with me all the way. He gave me time to do what I needed to do and helped me troubleshoot what I needed to with no stress or pushiness which made a stressful situation a lot less hectic. I knew fixing my phone would be expensive as phones are crazy expensive these days so it is just the way things are. TLDR Price might hurt, as tech is expensive, but your device will be fixed by a professional with a good attitude. If you have to spend it, come here. read more

If I can give them zero stars I would but unfortunately have to settle for 1. My husband brought my laptop to them in the beginning of January for a broken screen. We were told they need to order a new screen. 2 weeks went by without a word so we called and they said that the distributor sent the wrong screen and then need the correct one to be sent.First issue...Why weren't we called to be notified of the set back? In the end we just went with it and they said the new part should be on its way. a week later we received an email telling us they are in able to fix it with no explanation. so my husband went to pick up the laptop and of course they misplaced our charging cord and we were told they couldn't get a screen from a reliable source. we then took our laptop to a new place and within 3 days the screen was repaired and we found out that Ubreakifix had actually caused more damage to our motherboard that was cause by someone trying to replace the screen when they didn't know what they were doing and now we don't know if the laptop can be fixed. Of course when confronted with the other companies finding they are denying they did anything wrong. my husband will be going to the store tomorrow to talk with their district manager and I'll keep you posted. our question is if the part was never there in first place why was work done on the laptop which caused more damage???? read more

If there were a "zero" star rating, I would give it to Asurion. My Pixel 6a was recalled by Google Fi to have the battery replaced because of over-heating. UBreakIt... was the local company Google Fi & Asurion designated to replace the battery. After calling the Manchester UBreakIt..., I went to the place to file a work order as directed by the local clerk who answered my call. It took about 45 minutes, and after getting the work order, I went online and scheduled an appointment to have the battery replaced. A few days later, Asurion canceled that appointment because only 40 batteries had been shipped to the Manchester store and they were all used for other people's Pixel phones. A person from Asurion called to tell me that I should reschedule online and a battery would be reserved for me. When I went to my new appointment at the UBreakIt... store, I was told the latest shipment of 40 batteries had been exhausted by other Pixel customers. I'm no "Karen," but I asked the clerk, 'Why have people make appointments and supposedly reserve batteries for them, when techs/clerks replace other people's batteries on a first-come/first- served basis?' She shrugged her shoulders and looked emotionless at me. I should have asked to speak with the manager. read more

I bought a phone from these people and it kept dropping calls so I brought the phone back. I was told the the IMEI number doesn't match. Somehow, I thing this is a Standard Operating procedure. So they would not take the phone back and gave me a corporate number of 877-320-3237. I spoke with 4 different people that could barely speak English and after saying that I don't want to subscribe to 50 things I don't need, I was hung up on 4 times. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! This would be negative stars if possible I took my laptop in to get the screen repaired. After a week they told me their distributor sent the incorrect screen. After another week i received an email stating they cannot fix the screen. I took it to another business and the screen was replaced within 4 days. But due to UBreakiFix incorrect installation, they failed to disconnect the battery and the motherboard was damaged. UBreakiFix claims they disconnected the battery. My question is why did they go into the laptop if they didnt "have the correct screen" in the first place? Took my sons xbox in for what they said was a simple HDMI repair and then after I have to call them to see the status they tell me it is unrepairable and I ask why they say it won't power on. Well funny it was powering on just fine before I dropped it off. After many conversations with the manager Julie nothing got resolved. They are saying I brought in the Xbox already broken. They refuse to do anything with the now 500 dollar broken device. When I went to pick it up I asked about getting the tech notes to see what work was all done on it since I was getting conflicting stories and I was told they aren't allowed to let me see them...sounds like them covering themselves since they messed up! After a storm we lost power and my Xbox wouldn't restart. My wife took it to the location on Manchester to be repaired. Later that day we received a phone call from a female service tech. who said she couldn't work on it because it was dirty with spiders. I then took it to the location in Chesterfield Valley where they fixed my Xbox and cleaned it for free. It is now working like new. I went in to get my home button fixed on my iPhone 8, and found out it would be more expensive than the value of my phone. Then the gentleman showed me a way to put the home button on my screen through the accessibility settings. Now I can use my phone until I save up to replace it. On 07/13/2021,I went to the store on Manchester road to fix my broken iPhone 8.  Later when I picked it up, I was told for an unknown reason the Home button not working anymore (It was working when I gave it to them) and the edge of the screen is not sealed very well( they said it was possibly because the iPhone was bent), so the guy offered me a free charge of the service. I was totally fine with that. Unfortunately, they did not take the charge of $96.95 off, on the contrary, they charged me TWICE  for a bad service which I found out on 02/2022, half a year later. So I called the store and I was told to dispute it from my bank end because they couldn't find the transaction from their end. But my bank refuses to dispute it because it has passed the dispute time frame. Then I went to the store and talked to Ian and showed him the transaction on my bank statement. Same time he finally found the transaction on his end but unfortunately, it only shows one charge on his end. I did not get my refund so far and Ian said he has nothing to do with that. If you have an iPhone, just go to the Apple store!! I brought my phone here after I cracked the screen because there were big lines across it and they had an appointment the next day and apple didn't have one for a week. They charged me $215 for a iPhone 11 screen repair while the Apple store only charges $200 which would have been fine if they actually fixed my phone. I honestly wish that I could just have my cracked screen back because my phone is so messed up now and I am worried to bring it into apple because I knew ubreakifix was not an authorized apple retailer. The day after I got my screen fixed the Face ID stopped working. After that, the battery got completely worse than it was before (it wasn't great before but no where near this bad). My phone dies around 50%. I went back in and they said nothing was wrong with my phone and I obviously don't know very much about phones so it doesn't make sense that the screen repair would mess up my phone this much but it did. The girl working was super nice and tried to help me (don't want her to have any negative consequences from my bad review). I am just incredibly frustrated to spend over $200 when I wish I could just go back and have the cracked screen instead. I will definitely only go to an authorized apple retailer from now on and suggest everyone else does the same. read more

Matt said he didn't care what I had from Samsung - I was going to have to pay him directly. He refused to call Samsung. I have actually used this store once before to fix a broken hdmi port on my PS4 and it broke again so I figured I'd bring it back for it to be fixed again, as my service the first time was great. I don't know what happened in the past year and half but the service around this time has been awful. I was told my device would be fixed in three days. It is day 6 now and I am now receiving attitude for calling to see when it will be fixed and being told "they will call you whenever it is done" in a rude manner. I will not be using this place again. First, no stars would be better. So the microphone on my Pixel went out in Sept. 2020. Since it's a Google phone, they are the only shop that can fix it. After calling all the other phone repair shops, I made the appointment and took it in. They told me they would have to order the parts and would call when the parts were in. December 16th I do the online chat. They supposedly checked with the store and the parts were in. I go to the store the next day, and they DO NOT have the parts. So I hear " I see we can order the parts so I can give you a call when they come in." I call them on December 30, total chaos on the phone, finally I get yes the parts are here. I take my phone in the next day. First I hear we are backed up so it will not be done today. No big deal it's been since Sept. The next conversation is, your frame is bent so we can't work on it because we are Samsung authorized. I remind the guy it's a Google phone, he starts telling me how he's surprised my screen isn't cracked and all kinds of other useless information. The bend is hardly perceptible. Now this is the third time they have had my phone in their hands and looked at it. If there was another shop that could do the work, I would take it there. read more

Technician (Angel) came to my house to fix a cracked screen. I told him specifically to CALL when it was done since I could receive calls still on my Apple Watch and iPad. He did not do this. He took my phone, that I use for work, on another job. I called Asurion (the phone insurance company) to see where he was and they said he could bring my phone back at 7. I waited and around 6:45, someone from the store calls me & tells me he brought my phone to the store. The store closed at 7 & I was located downtown. There was no way for me to make it all the way there in time. I called Asurion, extremely pissed off and they told me the owner of the store was adamant that no one was bringing my phone and that I had to come and get it. This was so ridiculous since I purposely booked the screen repair to be done at my house! I am filing a complaint, in addition to this review, because the technician basically stole my phone and the owner was refusing to accept responsibility. Everyone continued to tell me what they can't do when the technician the store hired was in the wrong!!! This is not how you handle situations or run a business. read more

I brought my computer in for the second time after having the screen replaced. I was told it was covered under the warranty and that they were sending it away for repair. After more than a months time I called to check the status only to be told whomever was not able to be reached but that I would be contacted soon. After not being contacted I called again only to be told the same thing. After another no-call I returned to the store where essentially I was told the same thing but this time I asked for the number of where my computer had been sent. Miraculously the manager then got a hold of the people with my computer who at this point informed them that my computer was not covered and that there would be a 300 charge to fix it(would have been nice to know over a month prior). Having spent enough of my money and more than enough of my time I was not interested in doing further business. I was told my computer would be sent back to the store and I would be notified when it arrived. Not hearing anything for over a week i called once again. Coincidentally it had arrived that day or so I was informed. I was told I could have it sent to my home so I agreed. When it arrived it was without my charger. I made a final stop to pick up my charger at the Manchester location. After being given my charger I was told that I "was all set" no "sorry for your inconvenience" or "thank you for your patience" nope I "was all set". Although the employees did seem friendly for the most part my overall experience was less than satisfying.
