This should be zero stars. -100 stars if you are serviced by Elijah. This location is a joke. They have had my system sitting in their location for a week without any attempts to reach out. I had to check tracking and call to get an update. Come to find out they couldn't fix it because of "bugs". I ran to grab the Xbox and take it home and see for my own eyes. I was shocked to receive this kind of news, considering the stand it sits on is big free. Sure enough... I opened the back, used 2 flash lights in an already lit room and no bugs were found. They'll charge you out the ass for a "repair" and then come up with an excuse as to why it wasn't able to be fixed. Highly recommend Best Buy if you can. If you consider this company after this review, bring your product to me. I know nothing about fixing products but I can waste your time, money and fill you w false hope for half the cost. Also avoid Elijah, that boy got his certification from ubreakiscam university. You could hear the nerves in how voice when I asked for an explanation. read more

I usually never post on yelp, as it always seemed to be a very passive-aggressive way at getting back at some company that supposedly wronged you. I don't let things bother me this much, but this time is the one exception. I was spending time with someone when their dog bit my phone screen and cracked it causing damage to the screen which later progressed to problems with my phone bringing up apps and other things at random. I didn't think much of it as I had previously used a similar company to fix my phone screen before with relatively quick service. Again, this was not the case here. I waited nearly 3 weeks for my phone repairs to get done (apparently there was another problem with some internal component of my phone so that set me back yet another week), only to find out that all my data had been wiped (Thanks Joshua!) The associate at first, claimed that he didn't know how this happened and suggested that the glitch previously mentioned was the culprit. This would have possibly been the case if I didn't lock my phone screen previously -- and even if it had gone into the reboot screen, where by chance glitched out and selected "Wipe Data" and then input the correct numbers in to do just that. Seems very unlikely. When I asked Josh about that again, he did say that he had to mess with the motherboard on my phone and suggested that that was why he had to wipe the data off my phone. I would have been significantly less upset if the associate had been honest from the very beginning. Along with the problem of possibly losing all my contacts of friends I've made in the past several years and pictures of my family that I may never get back, additional problems were found with my phone as well -- albeit very minor in comparison. There was a problem with my phone not getting out of the reboot menu, a problem with my volume either turning all the way off and only being able to turn my volume up and an additional problem where if I touched the bottom of my screen the phone would register a touch in the center of the phone. So, I turned my phone in with 2 problems and ultimately walked out with 4 problems! This is by far the worst phone repair company I have ever been to. If you're still reading this; you have plenty of options to choose from in the area and this one should NOT be your first, second, or third. I would give this place 0 stars if that was possible. Between the lying employees and horrible service, this company should not exist the way it is. The one thing this place did correctly was give me a refund, which seems to be recurring. We had relatives in from Ohio and one of them had a cracked screen on his Samsung Android Galaxy 10 + We logged on to the Samsung website and found out from the rep that if we made the request through them, we would be able to take advantage of their September special of half off on screen repair. When you break a cell phone, the last thing you want is a big hassle figuring out how to fix it. These guys were top notch! My toddler threw my phone resulting in a cracked screen. Cue rescue squad theme music. Within 2 hours of dropping off my phone I received a notification that I was back in business and my phone was ready for pickup. Easy peasy. Really deserves zero stars. I brought my sons iPad in to be repaired. They said 4 weeks, I thohhht that sounded long, but what ever. After 6 weeks I was told they haven't gotten around to it probably at least a couple more weeks. I picked it up and took it to Best Buy who is an authorized apple repair. The store for my cell phone carrier made an appointment for me at this uBreakiFix store to have a replacement phone ordered. The woman at the counter lied to my face about opening my appointment, lied to my face about the reason for my appointment, and refused to even address the issue. When I went back to my phone carrier, they called this store and had to argue with this woman about closing out my appointment so my phone carrier could then try to go against their own policy and get me a replacement phone themselves. Brought a cellular iPad in to have the screen replaced on a Saturday and they said it was going to be 4-5 hrs. Wasn't ready till next day and when I received it the cellular function no longer worked. They said we could order a new iPad and it would there in a week. Two and half weeks later no iPad and all I get is that it's been ordered. Nobody seems to figure out how to track where this is. Ridiculous,go elsewhere! read more

OMGosh no. So I came in on Saturday. Matt (I think) seemed super friendly but informed me they were too busy to accommodate me but to come back Monday morning. He even added that he would take my phone in at 9:40 am, which is 20 minutes BEFORE they even open- to further accommodate me. Yay, right? HA! Here is what really happened: I came in at 9:40 on that Monday morning. Matt came out and SAW me but ignored me so I went up to the door and knocked, but was also ignored. Fine, I thought- and I waited patiently for them to open. Once open, I was the first to be seen. I was immediately told that they can't connect to Asurion to get my repair covered by the insurance. This company is OWNED by Asurion or at the least is a sister company so you would THINK they can fix or otherwise bypass this, right? WRONG. Sounds like a load of bullfrog to me. I was also told that moving the claim to another (more efficient) location wouldn't help but I decided that it would atleast be a shot while this place just continued to be a huge letdown- and guess what? The Independence representative took it right in with NO hassle. I will never go back to this oak park location, as all I can expect is disservice. read more

Please allow me to update my experience. Last week I received an unexpected call from corporate I presume as I assumed my issue was dead. The staff at "resolutions" were interested in understanding my complaints. After a couple of calls from headquarters requiring me to repeat my experience, I received a call connecting me to Dave, a regional manager. Dave was also interested in hearing of my experience and afterwards he agreed to refund to me the $30 difference between the estimate and charged price. Corporate did seem genuinely interested in solving my problems and were very interested in resolving my concerns. This is the 4th time I've taken a phone or tablet here and Sean and the guys have been awesome! My son jumped in the pool with his phone in his pocket on the 4th of July and woke up this morning to a dead phone. It's an iPhone 7 that I bought him when he graduated high school. Well, he's got one more semester of college and I'd planned on buying him an iPhone 11 for Christmas / graduation at the end of the year. Needless to say with the pandemic I can't afford an iPhone at the present time, so when (Sean? Shawn? Has a follow up to my review of March 12th, I took my phone in to CPR and in less than 15 minutes they were able to retrieve all my photo's that Matt deleted, fixed the settings problem that I also asked Matt to fix, which he did not, even got all the contacts that he also deleted. I went here and had the most pleasant experience. My phone port was either broken or I had junk in it. I assumed I would be told it was broken and I'd pay to have it replaced. That was not the case. I was told over the phone they had the part so my wife drove out there. The drive is about 20 min. one way I only mention that because she made the trip for nothing, they did not have the part and were not to concerned about their misinformation they had given her. They said it would take about 2 weeks to get the part and then about 2-3 hours to get it fixed. I drove out there after my wife called to make sure the part was in, we were never notified the part had arrived, I gave it to them around 2:30, and stressed she needed the phone today since she uses it for business. I was told by a rather aloof gentleman that they will do our best and they were open until 7. We called several times to see if it was ready but they did not answer their phone. My husband took his phone into the Lenexa location and was charged twice because "the system" messed up. He told him they would send an email to have the pending charged removed. This was a week ago. We called today because BOTH the charges went through the next day and we still have not received a refund for the 2nd charge. The manager told us to stop complaining there was nothing he could do. He said he would get in touch with his district manager, who only comes in every now and then. This RUDE so called manager, called my husband back saying "Dave, the district manager" was asleep (on Saturday at 2:40 PM) and WE have to call our bank and take care of it ourselves, followed by "good luck" and hung up on my husband. I have NEVER dealt with such HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! This is completely unacceptable from any management. I have attached two pictures showing the stores POSTED guidelines for COVID-19. As you can see, they are not wearing gloves while handling electronics. The manager and employee has no respect for the stores posted guidelines, that says a lot. read more

Paid $88 for them to keep my PS4 for a total of a week, picked it up and returned it three times because they said they'd transferred data and they didn't, and was finally told they couldn't. To be clear, we took it in to have them transfer data, was told they would, was notified that it was done, picked it up, found out nothing was done, brought it back in and the staff basically admitted they didn't do anything. Left it again for them to fix, they kept it for two days (note: they originally said it would take 4 hours), and when we finally decided to contact them two days later they said they couldn't do anything and they knew they couldn't do anything as soon as we dropped it off the last time (and lied about contacting us). Wish they would have been up front, at least contacted us, and didn't lie about doing anything/saying they could do or did anything for us. Technical skills aside, the customer service was absolutely terrible, and needless to say we will not be returning, and will recommend that others find elsewhere to get items fixed. read more
