I cracked my phone screen and this place was recommended by my carrier to get it fixed. With having phone insurance and filing the claim it was $29 to get my phone fixed. Jake and Cameron were the ones who assisted me with my phone. It took an hour for them to replace my screen. They were very nice and I would recommend them if you have issues with your phone screen. read more

I stopped by uBreakiFix today and had an outstanding experience. My phone wasn't charging properly, and instead of trying to upsell me on a repair, they cleaned the charging port on the spot and sent me on my way. The technician was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. The service was fast and efficient--I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They truly went above and beyond, and this kind of honest, customer-first service is hard to find. Highly recommend! read more

I replaced my computer screen but couldn't get the last two screws back in the case, so I took it to Ufix on Lorna Rd. They replaced the screws at no charge. So when I realized I didn't connect something correctly, I just took it back to them instead of trying to open it up myself. The staff was very friendly and polite every time I went in. They gave me realistic time expectations and emailed, texted, and called when my computer was ready to pick up. It was a five star experience and I would absolutely use them again. read more

absolutely horrible customer service, basically ran us off! Told me 140 on the phone, but in person tried to charge me 200 or 180 with a 40 dollar monthly plan! I mean this makes me laugh because 180 plus the 40 dollar monthly plna is not cheaper. terrible. I would recipe d Ifixandrepair!!!!! read more

The young man Cam helped me with getting set up with the home protection plan. He was very knowledgeable.

I don't even want to give 1 star. They never call back. Service not good at all. If u can wait over 2 weeks whatever u try to fix it go for it. They never ever done on time and always have excuses. I would not go back again. Don't waste ur money and time . read more

Easy location to find. Staff was super pleasant. They fixed my issue within a reasonable time. The cost was very affordable. I look forward to going there again in the future if I have any other issues. read more

My son had his Xbox "repaired" and they caused another issue. He was told one week and didn't receive it back for a month. Now it shuts itself down. They won't answer the phone. Rings and rings until it disconnects. I guess they don't consider that part of their job description. That is okay, we will call corporate. He's talking to the 4th person now. No refund was offered. We have to go back for the third time. I am not happy! Save your time, money and energy. This place is a complete joke! read more

Would give zero stars if I could, terrible service and the workers lied about fixing the phone. If service is going to be over an hour late you'd think they'd give a simple call, much less TWO DAYS LATE. Every time I called they said they were "just now starting" on it. At the end of the day the guy finally said it'd be done before they closed and I asked him TWICE if he was sure before I drove an hour there and he said yes. Well it was not finished and they made up some story about a "missing screw." Next day I go in and they didn't fix the phone nor try to fix it the other ways we previously talked about and gave me the run-around about being too busy to try the other ways. Finally just took my phone and left. Very unprofessional and can't do their job despite there being 8 employees there. read more

Only if you are white. If not I don't recommend this location to you. I was quoted a substantial amount of money to fix a problem on my computer. I took my laptop back home and called McFee and they only clicked one box on the setting and fixed the problem free. The guy that was in charge was very impatient with me when asking questions and he started working with another customer while I was talking to him. It's like I didn't matter. read more

Intersti g they are being acquired by Asurion and yet NO ONE answers their phones no matter what selection you make. Worse is the option for hours of operation doesn't provide any info, just rings indefinitely! I used this location about 4 years ago when it wasn't part of Asurion and they were great. Seems like they lost their Midas touch with consumers. read more

I took my Chromebook to be repaired due to screen going dark when opened past half way. I told them that if the cost to fix was more than $250 I would just purchase a new one. They charged $59.99 upfront non-refundable for diagnostic fee and said they would contact me. These people at Ubreakifix located on Lorna Road Hoover, AL do not contact you and they rarely answer the phone. After two weeks they told me wrong part was ordered and it would be another week for new part at cost of $175. I agreed and waited for them to contact me. Nothing...I finally got in touch with them and was told the new part didn't solve the problem and would need a new screen @ $400-$450. I told them I would just buy a new one and when can I pick up my Chromebook. They replied anytime they just need to take out part and put back together. Called two days later to verify Chromebook is ready to be picked up that afternoon and was told "yes". Showed up 3 hours later and Chromebook was separated from bezel and not ready to be picked up. Called a week later and was told it was now ready. Had a friend go by and pick it up that afternoon. See photos of the screen separated from bezel with tape holding it together. Called again to complain about the condition and was told this was considered normal wear and tear. Do not use this place to repair any type electronics! read more

These guys did come through for us on our screen replacement to which we were very thankful. Phone dropped about a week after getting it and was unable to turn on or anything. They didn't currently have stock of the screen we needed, but had them on order so we were placed on the wait list. When the product came in they were quick to get if fixed and offered their services at a reasonable price. The staff here are really friendly and seem to do a good job taking care of the customers. Really the only deduct of one star is that the checkout process was exceptionally long and there were a couple people in front of me. Took about 30 minutes to have my turn to pay and head out (the other two people were paying also). Otherwise a good experience and I would recommend to others. read more

Brought an old laptop in to check out problem with connection. Did not charge me anything! Basically the screen monitor is out and he suggested I use an HDMI cord and tv monitor for a short term fix. VERY satisfied customer! read more

DON'T bring your phone there!! Phone had a cracked screen and they said they repaired but after I picked up the screen the next day, it would just go black. I would have to turn it on and off to get it to work. Brought it back next day and they said well we need to see it doing that. So I then had to go to apple who said ambient light sensor was failing and I needed to bring back to the repair shop because something was not done right for it to do that. Had to go out of town and while out of town phone locked up permanently and no one, even apple could get it unlocked. So then I had a useless phone!!! Had to buy out of my contract with ATT, sales tax and new phone!!!!!! They were willing to give me money back on screen repair buy I am out 800+ for new phone and of course I could not trade mine in because it was locked up with no one able to unlock .... so useless. read more

uBreakiFix by Asurion - I think we had a misunderstanding. I broke, and they did not fix. Not their fault. I'm too good at breaking. - Electronics Repair Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

I made an online appointment and arrived at the appointed time. I was told that I could have the cracked screen on phone in 3-4 hours. When I returned 4 hour later the phone had not been touched. I agreed to return the following day and was promised a $25 discount for my trouble. I returned at 1:00 pm the following day. The phone was still repaired. I waited three hours and was told I was not going to receive the promised discount. I would never use this place again. They have no integrity and are extremely expensive, $175 to replace the glass screen (no electronics). read more

I have used UbreakIfix over the past couple of years and always had exemplary service! With several electronic devices in my family we are prone to accidents! The last time I went to UbreakIfix in hoover I was waited on very promptly and given a quote. The phone was ready the next day! Highly recommended for your electronic needs. read more

Worse experience I have ever had with any company! The guys are nice, but talk in circles about what might be wrong with my old laptop. I only wanted the data pulled off on a thumb drive since it was old. They would hem and haw giving technobabble, but when I went back (they do NOT answer the phones), they had not even opened it up. Then started making excuses again! Took it back, went to another fixit shop and had my data back on a thumb drive in 2 days. read more

These guys are fantastic! Super friendly and knowledgable. They've fixed my iPhone twice now. Love them.

If there was a way to give this business less than one star I would. Rude employees gave me the run around for more than a month on a Samsung repair. They were the worst. Avoid avoid avoid. read more

I dropped off my son's Xbox to have the hard drive replaced. After waiting a week which was their timeframe I was told they were soaking the fan because it had a sticky substance on it. That didn't make sense to me because my teenage son keeps it in a spot where you can't even set a drink up around it, but I thought you never know with teenagers. Another week goes by and sure enough it's still not ready because the "new" hard drive they installed is not uploading and they need more time . Ten days later I call back and I'm told it's ready so come pick it up. I get to the store only to be informed that it's not fixed and that the Xbox is not repairable. Quote " it's basically a paperweight now." I brought it home and got on YouTube and opened it. It was never open. Completely covered in dust. Nothing had been clean. I ordered a $25 drive Online ; my 14-year-old son installed It. So basically they lied and never opened it ;if I had taken their word for it I would have spent $600 to replace it for no reason. I will never set foot in that place again . I wish I had a negative star option read more

Great service, staff is knowledgeable, and very informative. VERY quick turn around. Highly recommended.

These guys are awesome.... there was a miscommunication with scheduling through Asurion and they still made time for me... they are so talented and do a wonderful job. My screen looks better than new and the guys are just the best. I recommend them highly and without reservation!!!! read more

Cooper was quick and fast! The repair it self took less than 30 minutes. If we ever need help again we won't hesitate to call them again.

All I needed was the back of my phone reapplied and the gentlemen at the desk was able to do it quickly and for free!

Worse experience I have ever had with a repair place. I have a Macbook Pro and broke the logo on the front screen my accident. The only thing that was broken was my Macbook Pro logo, NOTHING else. I called them in October 2020 asking if they could fix it, they said yes. They ordered the part and never called me about it. I contact them in January of 2021, they say the part is in and they will fix it for free. I take it in, and they break my laptop screen. The entire screen is broken on a $1,000 laptop. They offer to fix it, which they do 2 weeks later. I work from home, and am required to have a laptop in order to work. They offer no loaner laptop, basically told me it is my problem. After fixing my screen, they break the back light on my keyboard. They cannot fix it, and send it over to the main head quarters and tell me it is going to be 2 weeks. 2 weeks pass, and no one contacts, I contact them AGAIN. My laptop arrives, and everything is working expect for the touch ID. Also, my entire computer is wiped clean without my consent. All of my files and data are all gone. In summary: -They broke my screen -They broke my back light -Wiped my computer clean WITHOUT asking me and replacing the motherboard -Broke my touch ID If you have a Macbook or apple product, DO NOT GO TO THEM. read more

Extremely helpful! Jason was great from the first second I walked in. Wide range of services available so I recommend them for sure

I turned my PC in for a free diagnostic that should only take a couple days. After a week I never received a call or anything about any updates on my pc. I called and was supposed to receive a notification after a few more days and 2 whole weeks go by with no call or text. I finally got fed-up and went in and demanded my pc back and still got no diagnosis or lead to what was wrong with my pc. Terrible service. Never going back again. read more

First took my computer to the Homewood location for repairs where it sat for two weeks without attention. Had to help the representative find my PC in the shop. He said there were too few personnel to work on my PC and recommended I take to another location, which I did--Hoover. After four weeks--one month--there was no response from the company that my PC was ready. Went to the Hoover location where I learned that my computer had not been touched. Further, they lost an extra hard drive that I had asked to be installed. Ironically, another customer was there for a pick up of a laptop because her unit had received no service either. read more
