Last I booked a ride from the Orlando airport to our hotel. It was booked with Raphael plate ending 91 white Corolla. Right at the 1:00 am pickup time he cancels and then Uber raises rates due to surge pricing at 1.8X previous rate or $104!! Guy canceled us to book at the higher rate. Very unethical and unprofessional. Today we booked an Uber from Publix back to the hotel and Matthew was amazing! Punctual and very pleasant. read more

5 July 2018 First time riding with Uber anywhere! I didn't travel very far, literally a 10 minute drive to pick up my car at the dealership. But It was a great first time experience. My driver Juan was pleasant, clean car, and great hospitality. Asked if the air was right when I got in the car, if I wanted to listen to music, and to let him know if anything changes. When we arrived at the destination, he made sure he pulled up in the right area. I love that you can literally track your Uber driver on the map in the Uber app. read more

I needed Uber to pick me up so I could pick up my car from the body shop. The first driver cancelled for some reason. The second driver finally showed up at the gate but could not understand English so I could open the gate. He them left and I was stuck without a ride. I called the number that the driver used to call me and Uber said they wouldn't put me through because they didn't recognize my phone number. Or some ridiculous reason. TERRIBLE Customer service. I'm not looking forward to doing business with them EVER. One star is plenty. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This was 2AM in the morning arriving in Orlando. I had 2 drivers cancel my requested pick up because they must have known the location I was traveling to was not safe and unreachable because of the weather. A third driver accepted the ride. Once we were driving I looked on my phone GPS and saw that the area we were going was all in RED. I figured the driver knew this because he was using the same map on his phone. Once we got close to the location we were turned around by the sheriff with flashing lights. The area could not be reached because of flooding and the storm. I was scrambling to find a hotel and was unsuccessful until I found something 13 miles away. This driver took the ride for the money in my opinion neglecting the safety of my family. He is the expert not me. I had no clue. They over charged me $100 for this ride from the accepted amount and when I wrote Uber thye gave me a credit of .50 fifty cents. What a joke!! If they would have been a little more understanding of my situation and maybe taken the over charged amount off I would have been happier. Now they lost a customer. I will never use them again. Lyft or a Cab next time. read more

Uber is an amazing concept however it's so frustrating that they don't have ONE accessible vehicle. I have been emailing, calling, and even referred people to possibly drive and yet no wheelchair accessible vehicles. I was stranded by my Uber driver at the airport. He never showed up after 20 plus minutes even though the App said he would be there in 8 minutes. I called him and he was rude. The app showed him there but he wasn't . He either went to the wrong location or he drives for Lyft too and ditched me for a higher paying fare. He then cancelled my ride. Not me, he cancelled my ride. Yet Uber charged me a $6.25 cancellation fee. Will never use Uber again. Downloaded the Lyft app and my driver was there in 6 minutes. Paid my $35 Fare and tipped him $20. read more

Uber sucks. I waited 30 minutes at the airport tonight. How does it take thirty minutes for driver to get from holding area to gate? So after first 12 minutes driver cancels as little car image shows one minute away. I have tried lyft once and it was a little better however the driver spoke zero English. My driver tonight finally after thirty minutes is nice guy I'm sorry I can't tip him because previous driver screwed me over. This company not going to be around until they start firing inconsiderate d Uber truly sucks. Looking at this review this morning Last Friday screwed me twice waiting for ride to the airport. Finally I had to drive myself and just barely made my flight. Weed out these idiot drivers or you will be out of business you morons. Uber customer service sucks! There is no way to contact the company. They say you can chat but there's no place that opens chat. This is the most frustrating company I ever had to deal with. I am in such DISGUST with Uber and how they allow things to happen in their company. I got off at approximately 9:15 p.m. on September the 16th 2022, and after them swapping drivers with me FOUR different times I FINALLY got picked up at 10:56 p.m. which is extraordinarily sad because here I am off of work and 2 hours later I'm STILL at work sitting in the parking lot!!!! I hate had it been that I had to be at another job or to get one of my kids from a babysitter or God forbid an emergency or someone was in the hospital about to leave this earth or something because I would have NEVER made it!!! I believe these drivers look at the fairs and the money that they're going to make and they decide to swap you out at the last minute number which is WRONG, especially if they can't find you within the first minute or two of pulling up!! One, if you're 2 minutes away from me you should NOT be ABLE to just drop my ride and just go pick somebody else up!! Two, if I've ALREADY waited on three separate cars that third car should be MADE to come pick me up and they should NOT have ANY opportunity to go do something else!! it's ridiculous that I was 14 minutes away from the house but it took me almost two and a half hours to get home!!!! UBER y'all need to do better or just throw the whole damn company away.... Cuz y'all TRASH!!! read more

USER BEWARE: used uber during my stay in Orlando and wish I would have paid for a rental car or taxi. Uber Orlando is scamming the tourists by overcharging customers. You accept a ride at said fee, but then the driver adds erroneous wait times, taxes/charges, and cleaning fees. I was over charged 3 times, and uber refused to correct one of the fees to the correct amount. They said they reduced the rate, but it was to a made up amount they determined to be appropriate for the trip taken. I was charged a wait time, but it was I who had to wait for the driver at the main entrance of the hotel. The driver "checked-in" at the security gate of the hotel resort...Ummmm...last time I checked, passengers are not picked up there. Uber claimed the driver was waiting on me. The driver got held up at the gate because she didn't speak English and couldn't understand what the hotel security was asking her. This is not my problem, but she charged me for it. Was charged $150 for cleaning fee without Uber ever informing me. I did not cause any damage to the car; the driver not only sent a bogus picture of a dirty rear view seat and claimed I did it, but used a picture of a different color car interior. The car I rode in had a black interior, but the picture I was shown was of a tan interior. Take pictures of your accepted fare, license plate, and car interior. Sad that you have to do this, but clearly Uber Orlando is running a scam on the tourists. read more

Oh Uber. How I cherish thee. I've had one too many bad experiences with the typical cab services in Orlando and was so excited when I found out Uber was starting here. 1- Safety: these drivers are all given full 7 year background checks before being hired. They have more than a few minor traffic violations? It's a no-go. Why would Uber hire bad drivers if they're insuring $1mill per ride (according to the website)? 2- Convenience of pick-up: You mean I don't have to call a cab agency and hope someone actually picks me up? Count me in! I love that I can track where the driver is on his way to get me (time for a quick bathroom stop? Yup!). I also live that I have a picture of the driver, the model of their vehicle, and their uber star rating. 3- Convenience of pay: who carries cash anymore?!? Every other traditional cab I get into fakes that their machine is broken and let's me know that they require cash (usually once I've already reached my destination). Uber lets me pay directly from my phone and the route is calculated by GPS with no tips. 4- Feedback: Love a company that values feedback. I can rate my driver? Heck yeah! This helps keep the drivers great and makes me feel good about who's picking me up. So many reasons I love uber as a new transportation option in Orlando!! read more

Horrible experience with Uber coming from the Disney Transportation area. Never even got a chance to be picked up because our so called driver cancelled on us when we were like 3 minutes away from getting to the car which effectively stranded us. He was rude on the phone to begin and hung up on me twice when all I was doing was updating him that we were off the memorial and coming to him. Of course drivers still try and stick you with the charge if they cancel and get away with it, which is wrong and Uber as a company stands by and let's it happen. Never again. I will stick to paying a little more for professional car service that takes pride in what they do. read more

I used uber about 10 times ish while in Orlando! I love that they give the first free ride up to 20$. The downfall is that if you only use 13$ of it the remaining 7$ disappears. But it's all good. I had a few free rides that I was able to take advantage of. Also, when a couple friends used my unique uber code for free rides, I never got any of the 10$ credits that were promised. So when that happened I decided to use lyft. I personally liked and would recommend lyft because rates are slightly cheaper and they have better promotions. For all Uber, Lyft, Mers, Taxi, etc....riders. Whenever your driver picks you up, make sure you have your gps maps on too so they won't take a longer route and charge you extra. Also, if there's traffic, download the waze app. It will tell you approximately how long traffic is. Sometimes the driver will ask if you want to take a different route because they see traffic and sometimes traffic may look bad but it's not as bad as you think. We had a driver asked if he could take it alternative route, he stated it was a bit longer (route wise) but no traffic. We pulled up the waze app and it said traffic was only 3 mins long. so we stayed with the 3 min traffic and it was the same rate. read more

Used Uber today for the first time. A fare that in the past has cost me $16 with Mears Transportation (taxi), was $6.68 with Uber. The driver arrived just a fast as a Mears taxi, in a clean, late model Nissan Altima. I see no reason to use Mears again. I'm not a fan of being OVERCHARGED. read more

Best choice I ever made to use Uber. I used Mears Transportation twice while in Orlando and it is SO expensive in comparison. I have never used Uber prior to coming to Orlando, Florida for vacation. Uber is reliable and quick, the drivers I received each time were super friendly and informative about the area. I used Uber about 4-5 times throughout my stay and it saves a lot of $$. The only downfall is you need wifi/Internet to request a driver. I used wifi everywhere I went, most malls have wifi or a Starbucks thankfully. You can also find codes online for your first free ride ranging from $15 - $22 which is amazing. Refer your friends and receive $15 in return if they use the service. The best thing about Uber is there is an estimate to how much your ride will cost and if there is ever an issue you can contact Uber directly through the app. I definitely would recommend! read more

Uber does NOT, I repeat, does N O T offer a ROUND TRIP option for those of us who are disabled. I went grocery shopping to purchase 3 items. My Uber driver agreed to wait on me. Once I checked out and paid, I requested the RETURN trip on my Uber APP. Uber pinged some other driver four miles away, when one who was 30 feet from me ended up losing my trip / tip!!!!! Then U B E R billed/charged me for BOTH rides home with BOTH drivers!!!! It was over $18.00 and Uber refunded me $2.57. Yeah. Deepak, yeah, he's definitely here in the USA, said Uber doesn't "engage" with their customers.....ever!!!!! There's NO PHONE number for help/customer service except for DRIVERS!!!! I will NEVER again use Uber. I erased the APP, and down loaded LYFT. I came up with a brilliant idea for UBER...."The ROUND TRIP," option which would account for 90% of the trips here. Uber laughed at me, and Deepak gave me the middle finger, laughed, then disconnected the email. UBER SUCKS. Uber HATES its riders!!!!! read more

So I used Uber Orlando during the preview weekend to see how the service worked. I was not disappointed and enjoyed the experience more so than a regular taxi! Uber is not customer friendly whatsoever. To be specific, we ordered an Uber ride via the app. Uber accepted the ride and showed the driver on their way to pick us up. We waited and watched the app showing the driver on the way. We had a show to see at a certain time so we were ready at our hotel lobby for the Uber driver to show up. When the app showed the Uber driver 2 minutes away, it all of a sudden said the driver cancelled the ride. When we re-requested a ride, the next time showed a different price of almost double the price. There is no inherent way for a customer to file a complaint and this is a shady price switch practice on Uber's behalf. If the CUSTOMER ever cancels a ride, Uber had plenty of ways to make sure UBER is compensated. But when UBER accepts an offer and then cancels last minute, there is no avenue for compensation or reparations to the customers. read more

Uber Eats service has gone down hill. They failed multiple times and refused to provide answers or resolution to missing orders or wrong orders. I would recommend Door Dash or Grubhub. Beware of using uber in Orlando FL. Last night we attempted to use it twice. Both times the Black Jeep claimed to pick us up and drop us off. When you call support it forwards you to a call center in another country. Then when you receive and email they offer no help and don't bother to look into the matter further. Very Bad Service from UBER, I was way overcharged by UBER and they now Refused to refund me the money, here is a copy of the email: Thanks for the response, however I am very dissatisfied with your response, as you guys were taking advantage of the situation, as I mentioned to you, even your own driver stated that the charges were outrageous, he even said to me to Complaint to Uber, I have already made the decision to dispute, and I will still going to dispute it, my Negative review I will make it go across as far as I have to go, it is very un fare on how you guys are ripping other people, no wonder companies like your selves that start taking advantage of customers and your own employees end up with a collective Law Suits... I am very disappointed at the way you are taking advantage and it wasn't just couple dollars of the charges or an small percentage increase of the fair, it was almost 200% percent increase if not more of the regular price charge for the fair at the same exact location, frankly you pretty much are robbing people with an excuse, and using your driver's to do so, which in this case the Driver was very disappointed at the Charges UBER made to me. Ordered an Uber the day before our trip for 5:00 am. Next morning, the driver, VICTOR, decide at 5:00 am that he wasn't coming. We had to drive our own car and pay for parking at the Orlando airport for a week. He LITERALLY lives a mile from us. We didn't have the time to book and wait for another driver, who would ALSO be able to decide at the last minute that they wanted to stay in bed. On Sunday Sept 4th at approx 830pm, I took an Uber in Downtown Orlando with a friend who paid for the ride, I inadvertently left my phone/wallet (with DL, CCards, etc) my friend made a report Monday morning to Uber online, then left home for Ocala....to make a long story short the drivers girlfriend contacted me at 930pm Monday night via FB messenger, she said she was riding with the driver she was busy with Uber customers and they could return it to me at 11:30pm for $40.00 was that alright ? I said look I am headed to bed I get up at 4am and was headed to bed (my thoughts it is crazy to meet someone at 1130 at night) and could meet them anywhere on Monday morning and she said if they didn't deliver it at 1130 that night her girlfriend was busy and it would be difficult for me to get back, could take unto 3 days.....trying to keep it short after much dialogue the driver went to the Osceola Correction Center (25+ miles from me) on late WEDNESDAY and tried to drop off my personal items they said they didn't have a property room, she needed to go to the Sheriff's Dept so she laid it in a chair and walked off !!! When I received it back a CCard was missing and a Card furnished by my bank with my account numbers on it( needlesss to say I had to cancel all accounts).....Uber has well over five 1-800 numbers all automated and ONLY for drivers, I got in touch with one human and told her what was going on and asked to speak to a supervisor, she put me on hold and came back and said they couldn't help me this was a drivers line I needed to go online.....I was not able to go online because my friend paid the bill (riders have no rights), Uber's response online to my friends lengthy email about the entire ordeal, was they noticed that they noticed there was a .44 cent charge for waiting on the bill and they would remove that and they were sorry for the trouble they would speak to the driver.......to NOT have a phone line for paying riders or a rider who didn't pay the bill is UNACCEPTABLE.....the Driver holding my personal belongings for 3 days and taking them to another county to drop them off is UNACCEPTABLE (BTW she lives and works in Orange County, I know that by the pings I got on where my phone is)......my conclusion is I have deleted my Uber app.....and my thoughts to others is BEWARE of UBER and their drivers !!!! I don't think i could be more upset and disappointed with Uber. I used to work for Uber but was never a rider until recently went I went to Florida. I was pretty excited it being my first ride. I had a coupon first ride free or $20 off but they wouldn't honor it. They shouldn't be advertising/offering these specials if their not going to honor them. Everyone is aware your first ride with them you get a good deal and after that you pay regular price. Uber's customer service is the WORST service I've dealt with in many years! They offer no access to actually speak with someone on the phone, let alone a Live Chat (as a rider account member). For almost a month, I've been dealing with an account payment conflict between me having a rider account, and mistakenly a driver account (I never signed up for a driver account). For weeks now, Uber's automated email response was that it was my credit cards that declined the auto-payment. Interestingly, my MasterCard, Visa and AMEX all claim that everything on their end looks correct, and that they never had a hold on my Uber charges. Still, Uber's automated email reply says otherwise. Now, I'm attempting to delete my Uber account, which Uber says it has "marked to be deleted", yet doesn't have the courtesy to say how long it will take to delete the account. In an attempt to add a new account, I get a message that my email is already in use. read more

I found the Uber service in Orlando to be well integrated to the area especially owing to the latest app upgrades. From the airport to my hotel, the app made it easy to specify my pick up location. For example, the app new that my hotel was a grouping of two hotels and had me select which hotel's main door I was at. At other places (e.g., Disney Springs) the app clearly provided information on where the Uber pick up points were and then provided me walking directions to that point as well as of course the driver's ETA to that point. All the cars I rode in were clean. The drivers were either politely quite or offered tidbits of information on the city. I highly recommend Uber, especially from the airport (accessible on Level 1 in the Express Tunnel). I landed with someone and was staying at the same hotel as the person and I got to the hotel an hour ahead of them because I took Uber while they took the Mears Shuttle. read more
