Amazing little Korean place that we sort of just stumbled into!…read more My dad got this fantastic little Spicy Avocado Tuna salad I had a massive hit plate of chicken udon with thick Yakisoba noodles and my mother had a fantastic Bibimbap (we all shared) which is a steaming rice bowl with your choice of meat and a mixture of vegetables with an egg on top! We also got sushi all to share, and needless to say we ordered far too much haha. Also presentation was all ON POINT. Could not recommend this place enough. What a little gem! Will be back with friends. PS service was incredible helpful without seeming overboard (you know what I mean restauranteaurs)

My best friend was here from the coast and we've eaten sushi at numerous restaurants there. Wanted…read moreAYCE so decided to try this one. Mistake! The interior was clean and well lit. We were seated quickly and given our menu papers to order. VERY surprised to find that items that are standard at other AYCE sushi restaurants were a 'charge added' at this one. In addition, many items like chicken karage, were not even on the menue. Given the lack of staff (no blame here-we let it go) it took quite awhile for the server to pick up our order sheets. The Sunomono Salad was the first hint that something might be amiss. It came in a glass cup and the vinegar was yellow. Apple cider vinegar instead of rice vinegar, I think. My friend, who LOVES Sunomono salad couldn't eat hers. Then our items came in dribs and drabs. A California Roll and a couple of Inari (even though the menu said 3 pieces per order, and we ordered X2 (which should have been 6 pieces) we received 2 pieces. Then came the Tempura (sans the 2 prawns that comes with it EVERYWHERE else-prawns were an extra charge) and then the Yakisoba. Finally, the teriyakis come. 2 beef and 2 chicken. Teriyaki? A pile of fried cabbage and onion and 5 measly tiny pieces of chicken and another pile of fried cabbage and onion and 2 pieces of beef. NO TERIYAKI SAUCE!! Even though we both love cabbage, neither one of us could eat all of it. Then there is this-if you do not eat all of each dish, you are charged for that dish separately. So, my friend was charged an extra $5 for her unfinished Yakisoba (more cabbage mixed into lukewarm noodles). We complained about the huge amount of cabbage for each of the hot dishes and I felt that they should have not charged extra for the yakisoba. All in all a very disappointing AYCE lunch. The rolls were fine-nothing special. The Inari was fine. Everything else was sub-standard or non existent and having to pay extra for items that are standard at other sushi restaurants is a money grab. I will never eat here again and I will encourage my friends not to as well.

We came back again this year and the food here continues to be a delight. It is definitely getting…read morebusier with full house on most evenings we are here. Service is good but you can tell they are super busy trying to get restaurant and take out orders although it is amazing how fast the food arrives. This time we tried a couple more 'new' items from our usual favorites. The gomae salad - spinach with sesame sauce was very refreshing. It is small but satisfying. I would prefer not to share. Captured the photo of tako sunomono salad this time before we dive into it. It is a vinegar based clear noodle dish with a few slices of octopus and avocado. It is tiny but shareable because it is more like a palette cleanser with the sourness from vinegar. Miso ramen- picky kid enjoyed the ramen with soft boiled egg, seaweed and braised pork belly with a side of Agedashi tofu. Salmon oshizushi- seared salmon with Serrano pepper and avocado was tasty with a small 'entertainment' with torch. Overall we are happy with the new addition to what we already enjoyed, jalopeno bomb, and explosion tempura and magic mushroom.

Had the hamachi Oizisushi, unagi ozisushi, hamachi maki, agedashi tofu. Loved how they torched the sushi at your table. Service was great as well The 2 stars come from the bad food poisoning I got from the food. I had dinner there around 630pm. At about 10pm I started feeling very very bad. I ended up vomiting 4 times, most of it the sushi. It didn't end until after midnight. It ruined my night. I am pretty sure if was the hamachi. The only food that my partner didn't have but I had a lot of.

Who said only Vancouver has the best sush? Kamloops does too. Visiting from Vancouver, I planned to…read moregrab a quick bite, but I grabbed a delicious meal. Along with the typical items, they also have inari, onigiri, and oshi sushi. My favourite roll has to be the king salmon roll - so amazing and delicious. Got my typical chopped scallop roll and rainbow roll - did not disappoint. Inari -good salmon: rice ratio. So many delicious choices, I wouldn't call this place a bento or a cafe, but a sushi restaurant. I tried to visit again on Saturday but they're closed. Forgot I was in Kamloops; most businesses close earlier/weekends.

Given COVID, it is take-out only. My order was readily 5 minutes before the quoted time and it was a friendly and efficient transaction. I ordered three rolls: 1) Salmon and Avocado roll: Large fresh pieces of salmon in the roll with perfectly ripened avocado. 8 pieces. 2) Dynamite roll: two pieces of tempura shrimp in a HUGE roll, this is super filling and very cost effective. I think it was $6? 3) Tuna Poke Roll: Basically a California roll topped with a huge amount of spicy tuna sashimi and tempura bits. This was delicious and my favourite. What a wonderful experience to have this sushi joint in Kamloops.
