So one rainy night we entered the establishment located on a small strip of stores, with a barbershop and a Chinese restaurant on adjoining sides. The restaurant is longer than it is wide, the lighting and ambiance was just right to draw you in. We were promptly seated by women wearing Chut Thai. We started with the curry puff, golden squid, money bags (thoong thong) and Tom Kha (coconut soup). All very excellent and tasty. The Tom Kha was some of the best I've had. For the main course we had no.40 grilled beef hot plate, no.47 whole snapper in tamarind sauce(they honored our request to put the sauce on the side) and no.55 Drunken noodles. All flavored well and tasty especially the snapper. For desert we had the fried banana and the snow ball (fried ice cream). Both well executed with the banana being ripe and sweet. We parked on the street just outside but they have a private parking lot which we didn't see initially located down a narrow alleyway next to the restaurant. They also kept the restroom very clean. The waitresses were very attentive and the owner/manager was very personable. We split our time between Atlanta and Auckland and I've had my share of Thai food and this restaurant impressed me so much it is now on my rotation list.

The customer service is the best I've experienced in Auckland, and the restaurant is just the cutest little place. I used to live in Thailand so I consider myself a connoisseur of Thai food. I ordered a yellow curry and my bf got the pad Thai (he is on a mission to find the best pad Thai). This was definitely one of the best curries I've ever had. Super authentic! And the presentation is so good. My partners pad Thai even came with a little carrot flower - how cute is that!! We were having such a good time that I didn't want to leave, so we ordered dessert. They have mango sticky rice!! They serve it with dairy ice cream (not necessary for this vegan, but my partner ate it just fine) which was so good!! We also had two chang beers & some veggie spring rolls to start - so good!! This place makes me want to go back to Thailand yesterday! If you're in the area & you're a fan of Thai, definitely check this place out!!

Him: No, we always have burritos. How about Thai? Me: Meh, can do. I don't mind. Him: Well, I don't mind either so you pick somewhere Me: Burritos! Him: No, we always have burritos... It then goes on for about fifteen minutes until we actually decide on something-- usually the restaurant we happen to be standing closest to. So you can imagine our elation when one day we came across the International Food Court tucked away underneath Queen Street (it's down the stairs just Opposite Cotton On) that houses around six little eateries that provide Indian, Chinese, Brazilian/Middle Eastern (aka delicious burritos and kebabs) and Japanese. In fairness, thus far I've only eaten in Pad Thai and the Brazilian place but they are both amazing. The food tastes really authentic and it's so cheap. A Red or Green curry with Jasmine rice will only set you back $10 and the burritos with rice and sides only a dollar more. Plus, due to the nature of the place, you can order from different kiosks and sit on the same table. Everybody wins.

So far I have tried the Chinese and Thai food although now I am interested in trying the Brazilian food since I have seen quite a few people order from there. What I really like about the food court is if you have a group of people with you everybody can choose the kind of food they want but still everybody can sit at the same table.

Wow....just unbelievably wow. If you are in Auckland, this is the restaurant to make reservations…read moreat. You will fall in love with this place and will want to come back again and again. First off, hats off to the owners for doing such an impeccable job on the decor and design. From the intricate restaurant design, the lush comfy chairs, the menu layout, the mocktails, and even the rustic bathrooms were all very impressive. Now let's get down to the food. We started off with the shumai dumplings with peanut sauce. The skin of the shumai was so soft and thin which I truly appreciate because you can taste the stuffing better. The peanut sauce was nutty and savory and extremely addicting! Next we had the salt and pepper tofu with a vinegar sauce. The flavors here were a bit flat and needed more of a peppery taste but the presentation of this dish made it worth it. The chicken satay was super tender and juicy. The creamy sauce with the savory clear vinegar sauce worked really well together. The ribs had a yummy flavor but the meat could have been a bit softer. I recommend doing a broil for the ribs at the end so the sauce gets a nice caramel. To top it off we ended the night with the mango pudding. It was a hard decision but we liked the refreshing flavors. There was a lot of stuff going on in this dessert, but was still impressed with the details in textures. We hope to be back here one day!

I like it how the portions are designed to share and they come out the kitchen when done without seating on a counter to wait for other meal to be ready. Nice timing in serving: extra fresh!!! We went twice and definitely would go back.
