The absolute WORST delivery service I have EVER encountered. In a few month period, this postal office managed to leave my rare & expensive antique glassware at the wrong apartment (whose residents never cared to return the package), not forward ANY of my medical bills (which put me in collections for one bill-- jeopardizing my credit rating), & not forward other important mail. I cannot express how POOR delivery service is regarding this postal location. The building staff manning the lobby has always been very friendly & helpful, but that doesn't help w/ my missing bills & package. Management needs to be FIRED (or in the least demoted) for allowing such horrible forwarding & delivery service to continue; this location has a long history of problems, perhaps including apathy. read more

I had a return and was gonna ask if I could tape up the bag or buy a new one and she rudely calls me out when it wasn't even my turn and tells me "we aren't selling you a bag" while shaking her head. Did not deliver to my address now I have to file a claim, they also do not pick up the phone because they know these issues continue and lie to their customers that the package is delivered. They stated it was delivered we also waited prior to it says delivered outside package said delivered as we watched the mail guy not even come. Sorry, I wish there was a negative rating. Yesterday, our postman delivered my mother's Christmas present from her granddaughter. The man dropped a package labeled fragile, over the gate into a concrete sidewalk. It completely destroyed the gift. It was a large manger scene musical snow globe. When I went to the post office, guy I spoke with passed to to another, and then to another. This guy, said sorry. It was left in a secure place. Does this look like a secure package? I asked, he said, it could have been damaged during shipping. I showed him photos. He still would not take responsibility for his employee who failed to perform 1 job, it's not hard. Deliver a package. I asked why didn't he leave a package note for me to pick up at Forest Hills post office in Tampa Florida. I was told, they don't have to. When my mother told her granddaughter about what happened, you could hear her crying thru the phone, completely heartbroken. The folks at this location are horrible human beings. A seller at the location is currently trying to send a package to NY, already paid for overnight shipping, but is refused a receipt, or tracking number - the seller also states that the personnel is being non-cooperative with requests/"no-refunds", etc. it is not fair to the seller, that already paid, to not have a receipt or have ANY PROOF that he mailed a package through the most respected mail service in the country. read more

I've never seen a post office so stingy about providing tape. They don't have enough tape for themselves, they don't have enough tape for you to purchase, and when you purchase the only tape they have and you ask to use the clear one to make sure your label wont rip and the bar code can still be seen they give you 1 medium piece to make it work... Make sure your box or package comes ready to go if you're here because they wont tape it for you, they won't close the box for you, they won't help you with supplies, just shipping it out and collecting your money. read more

This location is terribly understaffed. One customer sat waiting to complete his shipment because his agent was on lunch, another agent told him his shipment would be finished once the other agent came back from lunch. That is unbelievable. Employees that were working were very friendly and apologetic, but this location is desperately understaffed. read more

I don't know why I keep coming back here!! Only reason is My P.O. Box is here and my job is near. EVERY SINGLE TIME there is a wait beyond 40-45 min ! The priority box is often jammed. The Forrest Hills Post Office is the absolute WORST post office I have EVER had to deal with. First off, it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone at this location. The delivery service stinks and now to add insult to injury, one of my Insurance Companies cannot release any information to me because someone at the post office has apparently arbitrarily changed my address on file. How can they do this? Because the address I gave them is NOT the same one they have on file, due to change of address, I am unable to get any information. This post office location has sent mail back on more than one occasion and nothing I try to do seems to matter. Trying to take care of ANYTHING with this location is next to impossible. read more

This places gives me a headache every time I go. You can't be there for less than half an hour because there is without a doubt a line out the door at all times of the day. There aren't enough postal workers there and the ones that are working are slow. It also doesn't help that most of the time the priority shipping boxes and envelopes are missing from the lobby. Just visited the Forrest Hills Post Office this afternoon. Just mailing a large envelope ($1.20 stamp). Automated machine in lobby broken so I had to wait in line behind 4 others. Still took 15 minutes. Employees doing the stereotypical postal shuffle slow motion and zero common sense just following procedures. Dirty lobby to service 3rd world customers with civil service Union protected employees with no incentive to excel. Sad. read more

3 or 4 weeks ago I came here and got great service. There was a black man walking around dressed in a suit helping everyone out and was very charismatic and cracking jokes. Great! This time I walk in the front door and there are 3 workers at counter and 2 other people being helped. Empty store for a change. Hispanic guy at counter maybe mid 40s says " I see you have an open box and need to purchase tape". Now the other times I've been here I came needing some tape and was given the tape to use. I tell the guy" they usually just give me a little tape". And he says " oh so you just expect free tape, oh I see how it is" lol. Um what?! Never say that to a guest, a customer... So I left will always use ups. I will also tell everyone to stay away from this location. He could easily have said " sorry but we only sell tape" boom, that's it!! On my fourth attempt to try to pick up my package I spoke to the manager there Craig. He assured me he would contact the mail carrier and call me back. That never happened. Came back a week later and his excuse for not calling was "I was busy. Your package is insured file a claim online."
