There is a person at the door that can help direct you to whatever you're there for. In my case I think I needed to go to the second floor. I get in & I check in to the info desk & the kind lady did all the work for my at the computer ! Thank you kind lady. Then you take your ticket over to the counter to pay. They do accept card ! I think there is a small fee with the card. Overall the process was so easy & it wasn't terrible like going to the DMV is. My time slot was for 30 mins but I was in & out in 10 mins or so - no joke !

I was there only for 30 minute. No crazy lines and everything was well organized to the point that i didn't feel any pressure. The most important thing was the truth that everything was well explained so no confusion. Great customer service and great people work in this building. Everyone has the willingness to help so they deserve five stars.

Second time I was there, I waited 3 hours and saw all the people that I was in line with that was behind me,go ahead of me and I was left. My number never showed up on the screen and No one called out my number. I made sure I was in front of the screen and didn't even go to the bathroom of fear of missing my number. Finally, I got up to ask one of the workers by the door and and asked how far I was in the que? He told me my number was called already! I said, NO, it was NOT. I told him I watched for 3 hours in front of the screen and I was never called. He called a supervisor man to come help and he, took my number ticket and I was told to go back and sit down. I waited and waited and the supervisor never came back to me. I asked where he went and was told he said he would come back. He never did. I finally saw the sweet lady supervisor and asked her to help. She finally assured me me that she would get my number called again and to listen for it. Another 1/2 hour and finally I was called and it only took 5 minutes with a case worker. Almost 4 hours in pain as I can't sit for too long, both legs go numb and buldging discs in my lower back and neck were throbbing. I can't stand for too long either. I have a ankle impingement, and plantars fasciitis in both feet and sciatica. It was a bad day for me to wait that long . I don't know why but they have done this to a few people that was there too and I was one of them. I over heard some of the workers complaining about customers and some being rude to customers who don't speak English so well and be condescending towards them and belittling them. Such rudeness should cease. The one women who is kind, and making sure everyone is being taken care of was the supervisor . She was very understanding, spoke kindly to everyone. I know you all see some crazy people up in there but, you should do your best to speak and talk kindly towards others. Get off your cell phones and always be ready with a kind face and be helpful. Thats the job you signed up for. If you continue to complaine, maybe you should look for another job. We need a system of people who want to help others.

Yvonne Llamas was unhelpful and appeared unwilling to assist me from the beginning. Because I needed assistance in Spanish, another employee was initially asked to help, but when Ms. Llamas became involved again, the interaction continued to feel unprofessional and discourteous. I understand that public service employees can be busy and deal with many requests throughout the day, but members of the public deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. A more courteous attitude and a willingness to help would have made a significant difference. I hope management reviews this feedback and continues to emphasize the importance of providing professional, respectful service to everyone who comes in seeking assistance

Once I arrived I was appalled by the amount of parking there is, usually one has to pay or park far but here parking is not an issue. The check in process was super straight forward fill out you're form get in line go thru security then check in. You will ride a bus about 5 min to the facility and as soon as you get off go inside the facility and hand over your form to the officer. From there it's just a wait till you hear your loved one's name and they'll tell you you're booth. Staff and officers were very nice and understanding something I would wish I'd see more in L.A. Dress code is not so strict from what I've seen but I still try to keep it toned down casual just in case! Sometimes there will be lockdowns and unfortunately that aren't the facility's fault. They go thru a thorough process and as soon as everything is green light then they will almost always let you in to see your loved one. If you need to use the restroom try using the ones passing security for a cleaner experience. Stay strong everyone God is good!

Then I drove from work to this SSA Location, i got there around 11:45pm. They called my number by 12:15 and I was out of there by 12:25. We first thought this was going to be a long and painful process, but it was fairly simple. I would give yourself an hour at the SSA. The person assisting was really nice and helpful. He was also very quick at getting everything into the computer system. Wednesdays they close at 12pm! Upon entering this office, the very friendly security guard advised me that an appointment was required to enter the building and that no one would see me without one. The guard handed me a card with the number to call to make an appointment. I did not have an appointment, so I left and sat in my truck, trying to make one by phone. I dialed the number on the card the security guard gave me. I received a recorded message that they were busy and it would be many minutes before an agent could assist me. I waited, waited, and waited some more. When the waiting time hit thirty minutes. I was done, frustrated, and left, never having asked any questions about my issue. I'll try again sometime. You need to register in advance and show up early. I was there at least an hour early and that helped. There is free parking and I walked up to the line from there. You lock things up, then go through the line, and take a bus to the area where your visit will be. The officers I dealt with were kind and professional. They explained the rules and kept things moving. They say the visits are about 30 minutes, but I was given more time than that, which I appreciated. You do need to understand where you are and follow the rules. Within that reality, my experience with the staff was respectful. I do wish there was a way to bring in a Bible but I understand they have strict policies. so three and a half stars, which rounds up to 4 on here, based on how I was treated.

Five-Star Review for Social Security Administration…read more I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Social Security. Anytime I have questions or concerns, they are addressed promptly and professionally. The staff--whether on the phone, through the 1-800 number, or in-office--are always kind, understanding, and patient. The process is straightforward, and the website is easy to navigate. Even when speaking with an attorney or judge through Social Security-related matters, I felt heard and respected. That's a rare feeling with government agencies, and it deserves recognition. A special shout-out to the Norwalk office--they go above and beyond. Overall, Social Security provides truly outstanding service. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a big round of applause!

However, two security ladies are rude; they are middle-aged, and one appears to be in her early 60s, so please keep these disrespectful "low-class security guards" in your head. These women are so lazy that they would rather waste their breath and sound dumb than get up and unlock a bathroom. My dad and I came from the courthouse, and we were told to go to Social Security; however, we didn't know we had to book by appointment. My dad had to use the restroom, which so happened to be very close to the entrance. The one in her late 40's or 50s started whistling for about 10 seconds; we were confused at first because (why can't a decent or educated person use their words to grab someone's attention), so we walked to her desk, and she gave us attitude, asking various questions like, "Why didn't you go to the courthouse" over and over again as she is making mockery faces thinking she knows better. Keep in mind the courthouse is about a 15-minute walk and a 15-minute drive from the building, and these are the furthest apart; the library is closer to the courthouse. My point is that's enough time for someone not to be able to go. Plus, your desk is about 20 meters from the entrance. Then the 60-year-old butts her way in, basically copying her coworker, thinking she's helping HER. She does end up opening the door. Then asks me rudely if I needed to go. Like, come on, all you had to do was get your a## up. When I finally came for my appointment two weeks later, the 60-year-old was giving me a hard time again. For a different reason, now all she had to do this time was direct me, which was only a few steps to the sheet and say, "Fill this out". On my end, all I did was show my confirmation. End of story, like why they have to give people a hard time. For security guards, this attitude is utterly embarrassing even as human beings. The staff actually handling the social security can give customer service 1000 times better, says a lot about you as a person.
