During the past year I've dealt with more than 20 small business service providers as we remodeled our house - without exception they called or texted a reconfirmation a day or two before the appointed time, so I expected this company to do the same. When I didn't hear from them, I sent a reminder to them on the day before the scheduled estimate. No response. You guessed it - I waited for several hours on the day of the appointment and they completely blew me off - no communication of any kind. Contrast that with the response I got from one of their competitors who (unbeknownst to me) had gone out of business 6 months before my inquiry. They took the time to write me a nice note explaining that they had to leave the business for health reasons and referred me to one of their trusted colleagues. I've owned two small businesses myself, so I know that things come up, but I would never ever dream of treating any customer like I was treated by A1 Carpet and Tile Cleaning. No matter what comes up, it only takes 20 seconds to send a text or email saying that you can't make the appointment. It's just common decency and courtesy.
