Multiple inexcusably bad experiences here; 1) Tried to change to this specific branch. I opened a checking account in the 5 figures. My personal checks took too long to arrive, so I called customer service. The woman rudely insisted three times that I had to provide her with my FULL social security number to get help. She told me I could not get help with just the last 4 digits, my address, number, full name, etc. I then told her I was recording the call and asked for her full name and the full name of her supervisor. She then admitted she could help me with the last 4 digits of my social security number. She eventually tracked my personal checks and admitted they had been sent to the address of one of the tellers at this branch. I closed the account, leaving only my mortgage with US Bank. 2) I went to this branch recently to pay into my principal in the 5 digits range. I had my checkbook on the counter. Somehow they made the assumption that I had that much cash to apply to my principal-only payment. I was given a BS excuse as to why that assumption happened and so tried to go ahead with the payment. Somehow, they couldn't find me in their computer. I then related my previous experience there and the teller/manager tried to assert that what happened before probably removed my records from their data system. More baloney. This is a bad place. I've had very few dealings with this bank and only my 10K principal-only payment a few months ago went well. All else verges on ineptitude, deception, or possibly attempted criminality. How could my checks have been sent to the teller who opened my fat checking account? Why did the customer service staff fish for my full social security number? Why is it that such a high percentage of my interactions with this bank were awful? read more

Before moving to town a few months ago, I switched from a local bank I'd had in Kansas City for years to US Bank. I did this because it's a nationwide bank that I knew would be convenient up in the Pacific Northwest, and they seemed to be less evil than Bank of America as I reviewed various peoples' opinions online. I was pretty satisfied with my location in Kansas City as I establish the account, however in my handful of encounters with a bath all location I've been mostly disappointed so far. We had gone inside the branch recently to add my wife to the family account, and that bit of account maintenance took well over an hour and included a handful of sales pitches about their credit cards and other various services. We had made clear from the beginning that we were not interested in that sort of activity- we just wanted to make the change on the account that day because we had a lot of other things to do. However our request was not honored. Overall as a whole, U.S. Bank has been slower to process my deposits and quicker to process fines and fees than I would like a bank to be. Their fees, in fact, quite high-overly high. Unquestionably high. And while they state their ATM policy upfront when you set up an account, it's highly inconvenient that you can only use their ATM machines for any automated banking purpose. In fact, you can't even get a balance request at another machine without getting gouged with a giant fee on the back in from US Bank. Frankly, I find them to be much greater than I had expected and much less customer friendly. Today I had a simple question for them, so I made a phone call to the bank I was repeatedly talk to her and talked around. The person obviously didn't want to take the time to complete my request and kept force-feeding me an answer that didn't mean I mean it. I definitely find this traveling. Particularly because I was talking about details regarding a large deposit I intended to make. As frustrating as it is to go through the process of starting anew with another new bank, I have a funny feeling I will be shopping for a new bank again soon. US Bank as a whole has been dissatisfying for me, and the branch location has only made it worse. Not recommended. read more

Review is mainly for Us Bank website. I've had accounts at multiple banks for years for varying reasons and US Bank's website is by far the better of them all. The number one reason being it's a real time website. Other banks, i make a deposit and it can take up to 3 days to fully 'clear' or show up on the website. Not so here. I can make a deposit at the ATM at this location any time, day or night, and drive the 1.2 miles to my house, log on, and BOOM there it is, ready to go. Same goes in reverse for any charge I make to the account. I need that kind of instant gratification from a bank. The bill pay feature has always been free here, and is easy to navigate. The only downside I've found is they do not have electronic transfer agreements with as many of my monthlies as other banks...so it's "mailed check" option which adds days to it clearing the account. Navigation between multiple US bank accounts is easy, as well as transfers, and managing any credit cards through US bankcorp. Online bank statements and easily down loadable account info to your home banking software. The Cashback check card is also worth it compared to other banks similar 'keep change' features. I use it like a credit card everywhere anyway...so it's nice to be rewarded for it with cash. You can still choose reward point options for various things. They have good customer service via phone, but they need improvement in the email customer service side. 9 times out of 10 it's a canned answer or instructs you to call them anyway. I know most of the tellers at this addresses location on a first name basis as well, so should I ever have to actually go in a bank, that's nice. read more

I've banked with USBank for over 30 years. This is by far the worst branch I've ever had the displeasure to do business with. I have been to this location on 3 separate to occasions to obtain notary services. I've seen different bankers/tellers raising their voices to Clients, speak unprofessionally, and exhibit generally poor customer service standards by being condescending to customers. This branch does not uphold the high service standards I've come to expect from a USBank affiliated branch. This appears to be a branch-specific issue due to either management or corporate culture here. If you need to bank, use the drive thru ATM or go to a different branch. read more

This is a review of US Bank overall. Aside from that, the Bothell Way Branch has pleasant staff, they just work for a poorly run bank. Help them find new jobs would be the best for them. I've been with US Bank for decades. And went there because of excessive fees from BofA. US Bank is so much worse now. They have outrageous fees. Free checking used to be free. Then required a linked savings account with automatic deposits. Then required a moderate monthly balance, then a stupidly large balance for a checking account. If you have that much in checking, you should instead switch to a bank with real free checking, and keep the rest working for you. And huge fees. My business account charges to deposit cash. Cash. But the straw that broke the camel's back was they assisted someone stealing from me. Hardly keeping the social contract of safeguarding my money. US Bank advertises Zelle as "safe and secure" but after receiving money from a person using Zelle, and my giving them the goods they wanted, they reported the Zelle transaction as fraudulent. It wasn't but it was among multiple transactions through Zelle the same day. Without warning me U.S. Bank emptied my checking and my savings account in response to them being told the Zelle was a fraudulent transaction. So I was out over $300. I reported this to my branch, and they originally thought it was someone hacking my account. After investigating they said it was the bank removing my funds. I reported this as fraud to the bank. And posted on Facebook to warn other. Then two weeks later, approximately, they did two more charges on my account, of $200 each when my balance was zero. I couldn't trust them. Neither should you. I tried to get the transaction number of the transfer so I could try to recover my funds. They said they couldn't give me the TRANSACTION NUMBER as they couldn't violate the privacy of the user committing a fraud against me. I am so far stonewalled by the bank, and can't even close the account cause they created a negative balance. Avoid US Bank unless you want high fees, and a bank that would rip you off given the opportunity. They don't support their customers, they don't care,and your money is not safe with them. It's safer in an envelope in your nightstand it seems at times. In my opinion in regards to US Bank, Nancy said it best, "Just say no!" read more

They kept charging fee after fee after fee even after shutting down accounts, moving money over, and going in to the branch waiting my time talking to bankers. All of the misinformation and incompetence from this branch is quite amazing. After having banked with 20 years they have shown only incompetence in customer service. I have no problem now throwing a relationship that lasted over 20 years since it does not seem to matter to USbank. I have been duped too times by the branch and customer service at US Bank. Quite possibly the worst bank compared to Wellsfargo or a Bank of America. Can't believe US bank could make those two bank look better. read more

I was in the Bothell area so I went in the drive tru to do a transaction. The lady was very nice and with a smile. I wanted to do a transaction but did not have my checkbook and she was patient and explained to me what I had to do. This service was the opposite in Issaquah. Horrible experience in Issaquah. It is obvious that employees here ( at the his bank in Bothell) are happy and they are trained very well. Today they got an A and they went the extra mile. Thank you!! read more

I have been a customer for almost 20 years and find that they would rather sell you a new product or service than help you with your existing problem. They do not work together as one company and when you have a problem you are referred back to the original branch your account is based.Their explanation and follow-thru of their "policies" are not consistent and ever changing. I don't know why I have stuck it out for so long. I have now been frustrated with them one too many times, and will use my feet and walk to a new bank. read more

Michael of US bank Bothell is personable caring; took the time to go above and beyond to aid me in researching a banking issue going decades back. He took hours from his schedule to help a former customer and worked to resolution, never passing the matter over to another person or level of management. He brought personalized care back to banking. I give him 5 stars for his knowledge and patience. read more

Firstly, I agree with Riss about the US bank website. I love that on one screen, all of my accounts (including credit card and a service that allows me to borrow money from my next paycheck ) are visible and easy to transfer between. I also like how quickly everything goes through, no waiting to use money I've deposited. As far as the phone service, all of the people I've spoken with are very nice but I ALWAYS have to wait at least 2 minutes to speak to someone. Sometimes it's up to a 10 minute wait just to check my balance. The actual bank in Woodinville is why I stay with this bank though. The girls there are all so friendly and know me by first name, know my account info so I don't have to really even fill things out. I actually like going to the bank because everyone there is so friendly and personable. The only downside to this bank is the overdraft charge ($35!) and the fact that I've had trouble with having my overdraft protection work. read more
