I moved from Houston to Chicago and had an incredible experience with U-PACK. Every time I called, the staff were incredibly helpful in explaining the process to me and arranging details. Terrible experience. As if moving across the country with a family isn't stressful enough they can't be bothered to show up or even contact you. We waited 24 hours, made phone calls, still nothing. When we cancelled all we received was "sorry". Don't bother. Go with u-haul or full service movers!! Finding someone last minute after they leave you stranded isn't worth the hassle. read more

My overall experience was ok. Fairly easy to have the trailer delivered and picked up. Personally I thought it took a little to long to be delivered at its destination taking over 7 days. When delivered to my house the bulkhead you use to separate our belongings was broke and the driver nor dispatch seemed to have checked this before sending it out. A lot of my furniture had nicks and scratches and we used padded protection for of it so if you decide to use U-pack make sure to protect and secure all your belongings properly. I don't know if I will use them again when it's time to move, their are many other moving companies out there for a fair price. read more

The dispatchers will tell you that theyll have it delivered or pick up at a certain date but truthfully it will not happen for some reason theyll give you a lame reason and will reschedule they will make it more stressful. Moved to the Houston area from NY, the two most inexpensive ways I found were U-Pack or U-Haul, of course U-Haul would mean I have to drive the truck and tow my car, and figure out how to fit 2 mastiffs into the uhaul cab with me. U-Pack dropped off the trailer on time. I chose to do my own loading and unloading. Everything made it down intact other then a couple dishes I could of probably packed better. Drivers on both ends were very nice. Only negative is its impossible to get anyone on the phone over weekends, not even leave a voicemail. Overall my experience was rather good and I would suggest them to anyone making a long move. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This business does have positive reviews but I would focus on the negative ones; I wish I did. They only care about their status quo, and getting their money. The idea of appropriate/adequate customer service is foreign to them. I needed my cubes picked up the day after they were delivered thus I called to schedule a pick up at 5pm specifically. My cubes were picked up at 11am before they were loaded (I was later told the incompetent representative whom I spoke with did not put down the time I requested). My movers were supposed to load my cubes from 1pm to 4pm. When they got there I had no cubes to put my things. They did not return my cubes till 2:50pm. My movers only had 70 mins to load my cubes. In addition towards the end I realized I needed more space thus ordered a third cube but because it was too late I did not get it till the next day. I had to hire additional movers, cancel/ reschedule flights as well as hotel stays. This business that claims to save you money ended up costing me over $1100 in additional expenses. I moved with PODs during my last move and did not go with them this time because I was moving to a different state and wanted to save money. In hind site I would have gladly paid the additional $300 PODs was charging for my move. Would NOT recommend and would NOT use again. read more

They only get one-star because I can't pick 0. I will never use U-Pack again. I recently moved from Houston to Oakland, CA. I chose U-Pack because it seemed like the best option for moving a small amount of items quickly. I used the ABF pods and when my items arrived in Oakland -- ALL of my items were damaged! My bedroom set that was just over a year old had scratches all over it (bed, dressers, and nightstand) and even one of my drawers had a hole in it. ALL of my boxes were severely ripped. It was clear that they flipped the pod upside down at some point. The worst part is although they damaged all of my items, their damage policy only covers 10% per pound if you prove they damaged it -- which will cover nothing. If you value any of the things you're moving, find another company. read more

This company was fairly straight forward and made my move relatively simple and painless. Everything can be done online. The container arrives, you load it, and then request pick up when complete. A few items of note. The big trailer container is not easy to pack, in my opinion, because its so massive and tall.. you actually need ladders to load things on top of each other.. Thankfully I requested movers to load and unload, which I highly recommend as it made the process super simple. Upon arrival... same drill, unload, and call when its ready to pick up. My only feedback is that the folks in LA were not super helpful in understanding the parking restrictions. They did provide a city phone number and I eventually figured it out. In LA, I needed a permit to have the trailer parked on the street for a day, which cost additional money. No big deal, but the Upack folks that are local should know what are the local parking restrictions to more easily relay that to the customer. Ex: All they needed to say was "Your area has parking restrictions, call this #, get a permit, pay this much, call us back, and you are good to go" Instead of leaving me running around trying to figure it out. Otherwise, this move was easy, simple, and as affordable as it could get! read more

ABF does a fairly good job of moving. I know that they have movers available, online quotes, truck space, or Relocubes (i.e., their version of pods). I have only used the relocube method of moving. They drop off a cube and let you load it over several days. They charged me $250 to pick it up. They got four stars instead of five because of sending out so many different tracking numbers with no way to find my order by name. I think that I got 4 different numbers. read more

It took you countless phone calls and 7 days (Tue-Mon) to find the ReloCube (You should pay me for doing someone's job) 3. You charged me for 2 ReloCube when I only used 1 4. Your 8AM-12PM drop off time turned out to be 330 PM. Excuse: Flat tire. (LOL I bet your dog ate your home work in high school that you never graduated. Driver was an ass and did not apologize. Whatever I'm just glad I don't have to deal with them ever again) Summary: Hours of wasted time. Many peak hour cell phone minutes burned up. Wasted 2 days off from work. TIP: rent a budge or U-haul truck and move it yourself. read more

Used U-Pack trailer to move from Houston to Florida. We did the loading and unloading and used 18 feet of space for a 3 bedroom home. U-Pack was great communicating every step and helpful with packing info. The contractors they used to pick up and deliver were ok, some of the drivers were very helpful and one never showed for pick up of the empty trailer. They were supposed to be there from 8am-12 pm and I called at 2 for the status. They gave me another time frame of 2:30-5 and he showed up at 7:30PM. All in all, I would refer Upack to others unless they can afford to hire a company to do ALL the moving. read more

There is lack of communication about cube drop offs. MyMove dashboard does not reflect the delivery time. They give you a long delivery window. Customer service is also useless. read more

They were by far the smoothest part of our move. They were communicative, responsive, and showed up when they said they would. The drivers were both very friendly. Our stuff showed up earlier than we expected. We packed ourselves but hired other movers on both ends to load and unload and by using U-Pack we still came out $2k-$3k less than if we had used the full service moving companies we had gotten quotes from to move from Texas to Tennessee. We were so pleased with our experience and would absolutely recommend them. read more

Some of the employees are awesome! but some just disappoint. the cube came a day late. that wasn't the main issue. its the Storage and customer service that try to be friendly but will in the end will semi screw you. i have not tried any other relocation cube moving companies. Worst experience ever. The deminsions they explained to me wasn't enough space for my belongings. They straight up lied to me with everything that they said to me over the phone after everything that had happened today. They never showed up on time which they promised me was around 12-4 pm. They also said they would call me ahead of time when they were going to arrive which never happened. I had to call a numerous of amount of times to speak to someone about my situation. They kept giving me the run around with the estimated time arrival and kept transferring me to several opperators because no one knew nothing. When the driver finally arrived he told me he wasn't even informed or aware that he was supposed to deliever to my location when he finally showed up 8 pm.. He was very apologetic and sincere about what happened. I scheduled movers for 4 pm so we can pack everything and leave by 5-6 pm max which failed and wasted everyone's time. I'm so upset. I hope this never happens to anyone else. . Ruined my day and trip. read more

This really is a good service. I needed to relocate but didn't have a place yet. I packed a 3 bedroom 2511 square foot home in 3 pods. They dropped off the pods, picked them up, and stored them until I was able to find a place. The team was very professional. My items were undamaged and arrived safely. I ended up getting a $300 dollar credit because I had my movers to unload at the terminal. So I ended up spending about $2000, less expensive with local movers + pods, as opposed to a long-distance moving service which ranged upward of $5000. I was nervous about those tiny pods, but it worked out, and this way was more convenient for me, being that most moving services couldn't store your stuff on the trailer. If I relocate again, I would use U-Pack. read more

Everything was pretty much fine until I found few of my boxes were all wet because of water leakage. Now it turns out that I paid for the shipping for some items which I won't be able to use. They were great on the phone with useful informative information to make the process go smoothly. Prompt email notification and additional helpful information. The delivery guy was awesome with insight for us on packing to have no damage and suggestions for packing. After we finished packing, we called and they came out the next day to pick up at time designated. The container got from Houston to California in 3 days! We could track it's progress online as it went from state to state. They local distribution center in California called to schedule delivery to our driveway the day after it arrived in California. Great service, professional and all our belongings were in perfect condition. We even got a discount coupon online. read more

Amazon.com used this company to deliver an oversized item (couch) to our house. I missed the original call from the company to schedule the delivery. When I called back, I was placed on hold several times and rerouted back to the operator. The operator wasn't on the friendly side. When I got to the person who handled appointments, he asked if I had the tracking number. This wasn't the same as the number of the Amazon order, but the number he had left on my voicemail. I apologized that I couldn't retrieve it from the voicemail, and then he began to tell me that was the only way to look it up. I said I was sorry and he told me, "Ma'am anytime you call a place like this you need to have the tracking number. I have to have the tracking number to look it up. I have a lot of appointments and phone calls to take. What is the tracking number?" Because of his attitude, I was taken aback. It had been a long time since I had such poor customer service to make me feel like I had done something wrong. I let him know that I would prefer to schedule the appointment at that moment because I didn't want to be on hold again. He then asked me for my phone number. I asked him, "I thought it could only be looked up by the tracking number?" He then said "What is your phone number?" I asked him again, "You were very insistent that I have to have the tracking number, don't you need it to look it up?" He ignored my question and pressed for my phone number. I gave it to him. He was about to look up my order by the tracking number. He told me the delivery time and hung up. As far as the actual delivery, they did not bring a 2 man team even though the box is labeled that it needs a two man team. My husband had to help the mover up 3 flights of stairs. Also, the delivery person left a good size of plastic wrap in our yard. Very dissatisfying experience. read more

I was moving from Georgia to NJ and unfortunately chose these people. On the Georgia end, everything went great, promises honored and performance was great. I emptied the cube in NJ and returned to Georgia after calling for the empty to be picked up. I was completely ignored, and the cube sat on my driveway for weeks until I received a call from my community saying I was about to be fined for leaving this box there. When I called the NJ end, they had no record of my call, although my cell phone did. EIther their software doesn't work or they are straight up liars. I was told again on a Friday it would be picked up Monday. Monday morning I called to confirm that I was on the schedule. Again, it was not picked up and there was no record of my call. You can make allowance for two snowstorms which pushed everything back but not for a month. I would not use them again, they are expensive too and liars. Really just a complete failure. read more
