From start to finish, our entire experience using the U-Box point-to-point move was flawless. We…read morerented three U-Boxes that were delivered to our rural property in Centerville, WA. We had previously used ABF Freight for self-packing long-distance point-to-point moving, but ABF would not pick up from the remote Centerville address. We heard about U-Box from a friend who had a great experience, so we decided to give it a try. Most importantly, they serviced both the rural pickup location and an equally challenging rural delivery location in Lampasas, TX (over 2000 miles away). All the drops and pickups were easily coordinated with the Yakima and Killeen teams. When our U-Boxes were in transit, we worked with a helpful nationwide dispatch center. Our contents arrived just as we packed them, undamaged, and on schedule. We were able to avoid an extra month of storage by scheduling carefully on both ends of the move. Overall, this was much easier and less expensive than renting a large truck and driving it ourselves (we've done that in the past also). No ramps needed- great for those large heavy items like shop equipment! We also got two dozen blankets per U-Box (way more than needed) included in the rental, which saved even more money. Kudos to the Yakima team for friendly, professional, and flexible customer service. Moving is a big chore and they made it a lot easier. Highly recommend, especially for rural addresses and long-distance point-to-point moves.

I used there mobile technician service as I was having trouble with one of my work trucks he came…read moreout and ran a diagnostic clean a connector that seamed to be the issue did warn me that the sensor itself my be bad cheated a bit and was on his way down the road he was on site for about twenty minutes. Most of that time was chatting .he seemed knowledgeable in his trade and I felt that he did a good gob until lol. He didn't bill me on the spot said he would send it to me . When I eventually got the bill it was. 600.00 for a 30 minute visit . I understand shop to shop time which would ad 1.5 hours to his time but he already told me he had a mobile stop before hand and another after . Protocol is to charge each customer travel time from your last Custer to the next not both ways . I would have become a devote customer as I don't alway have time to do the work myself . But at that rate and billing practice I can't recommend the service to anyone.

Yakima Secure Storage is on the premises of what used to be Irwin Mini Storage. The neighborhood is…read morea little rough, and nearby were once pit bulls running loose, but I feel safe inside the grounds. The management encourages all of the renters to key in their code when coming in our going out. Due to the redneck culture in Yakima many of the pickup-truck types blast on through rudely. That is not the fault of this storage facility. Every facility has some customers that use their rights to the premises to attempt break-ins of other units, but Yakima Secure Storage acts quickly on these problems as they have security cameras everywhere. The husband-and-wife team lives on the premises and they are always out and about keeping an eye on things. Also, the insurance they sell you for your belongings has a zero-deductible policy. That means if someone is actually able to break your lock, your loss will be reimbursed with no deductions. I moved from a larger to a smaller unit and the husband of this management team got out his cart and trailer and did all of the moving transportation for me. They offer automatic monthly billing from our checking accounts. The management and their policies are great. I wish the other residents and their manners were equally great, and I wish the neighborhood was a little higher class to drive through. However, at the risk of looking like someone influenced an excellent review out of me, I will have to give them five stars because I have had burglaries at other storage places I have rented from. Not here!

Incompetent. I believe the worker who took our reservation of under the influence, as they seemed…read morereally spacy when we called them. Later we discovered that he misspelled my name, and entered an incomplete and incorrect address for my billing address and moving addresses. This caused the reservation to 'disappear' and mess up my U-haul account, leading to endless headaches with the company. As they misspelled my name, when we arrived, they claimed that I had no reservation. They just shrugged. We had to ask explicitly for them to help find the reservation, which they could not. Then we had to ask clearly for other Uhaul offices. This led to us having to drive to Granger, WA (nearly an hour away) to rent from a different office. It was a terrible experience.
