1. Jimmy is a weirdo, and David is an even bigger one. This is based on multiple interactions with both of them. 2. One incident genuinely pissed me off. I arrived 15 minutes before closing and waited 10 minutes while Jimmy helped another customer return a vehicle. When it was finally my turn--with 5 minutes still left before closing--Jimmy told me to drop the key in the return box and said the staff would process the return the next day. I refused. If anything happened to the vehicle overnight, I would be held responsible. I asked Jimmy to simply process the return since I was there on time. His response? He said he "had other things to do." Just went in to refill my propane tank at about 4:15. The guy at the front desk was rude. We arrived and scanned in through the app as instructed on the propane refill sign. We waited a few minutes and saw two people looking through the window at us. We proceeded to walk in and asked "if we scan the QR code, are you alerted to come out?" He replied, sometimes. I said ok I'm here for propane. Upon walking outside he looks at my tank and tells me he can't refill because the tank is chipped.. the paint is chipped not the tank. We just went in to buy 3 boxes. Only one person at desk, helping a customer rent a storage shed. After 15 minutes of waiting, the clerk said, I'll be back I have to show him the shed. I had bad experience with them they are stealing the people from the mileage and they are treating the people they are trying because I forgot to take photos from the dashboard before I left because it was my first time ever doing that and the truck was empty and the paperwork they gave me they have the quarter of the tank and I didn't be attention to the because I was trusting them they inspection the car before they give it to other people . First time here and first time ever renting anything from U-Haul. I rented a trailer because I need to haul some big items that wouldn't have fit in my truck. The staff here made things quick and easy, very friendly staff. I was in and out in about 10 mins tops. The gentleman who helped me attached the trailer to the truck for me. Not sure why this business doesn't have more stars but I give them 5 out of 5 for outstanding customer service! I made the mistake of going to Budget first and they wanted money down for a reservation on a vehicle that they wouldn't guarantee would be available on the day I needed it. Didn't make sense and luckily I walked away. On my way home, I passed this U-Haul and decided to stop in and ask if they could guarantee a vehicle when I needed it. They promised, and they followed thru on that promise! A clean, newer model moving van was available for a super reasonable rate. I recommend making a reservation in advance because they can run out of inventory. I stopped early Sunday afternoon to have a Class 3 hitch installed on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was assisted by Matt R who quickly looked up the hitch model and installation information. Once he confirmed the information, he informed me he had time to do it right away. He estimated it would take about 30 minutes without wiring (I did not need the wiring as I am only using it for a hitch-mounted bicycle rack). In about 30 minutes he was done with the installation and I was on my way with a new hitch for my SUV. They have a broad selection of hitches for many different vehicles. I occasionally refill propane tanks at this u-haul location, as it is convenient and close to my place. Today, they were short staffed and while the people in line ahead of me (and behind me) were grumbling about the wait, the only person on staff (Matthew), kept his cool and remained helpful and kind. The guy has one speed and it's top speed. Once he got to me, you never would have known he'd been beaten up by the previous customers. Great attitude. Great service. Made an appointment at 7:30 am to get a hitch attached to my car, and it took more than 2 hours for it to get done. I'm not an expert at mounting hitches onto cars, but over two hours seems a bit excessive considering there were no other cars before mine. While waiting, I had to listen to one of the employees (I unfortunately didn't get his name) talk about his political views. HEY BERNARDO CRUZ, YOU SUCK. My gf's dad rented her a truck from the PRIVATELY OWNED NON UHAUL ENDORCED CHINO LOCATION ON LA PALMA (see my post there) trying to be nice for her move back to Chino Hills and the day got away from us and instead of risking her being late for work (ER Nurse) she called UHaul and asked if we could drop it off in Whittier at their location on leffingwell. UHaul said we could on the phone so we tried. A very straight forward and rude associate by the name of BERNARDO CRUZ turned us away and told us we had to go back to the shitty location in Chino where the truck had come from or they would charge us DOUBLE for leaving it there. Even tho it is a "circulation truck" and is absolutely no different from any truck they had on their lot. Simply just "because", no other justifiable reason. After having to add gas yet again driving back to Chino from Whittier in rush hour traffic I was greater by the associate there who explained the same situation with no remorse even tho they had not explained that to us in person when we picked up the truck or on the phone when we had called later. After driving over an hour I needed to use the restroom and he stated there was no public restroom. I explained to him my day and my situation and asked if he could please make and exception. He proceeded to tell me how no one was allowed because they were "burned by a person in a wheel chair". I felt that was rude and inappropriate all in itself. I then asked where I could find a public bathroom and he was not able to give me directions and said there was a street near by named central. So away I went hoping it was in the right direction on foot having to use the restroom with shitty directions until I finally found a wine and spirits outlet that let me Use their restroom. I called my Lyft and paid $30 get home. BERNARDO CRUZ WAS VERY RUDE, NON-REMORSEFUL AND DIRECT IN HIS INAPPROPRIATE MANNER OF TELLING US IT WAS "OUR" PROBLEM EVEN THO THE TRUCK WAS A "CIRCULATION TRUCK" and "NO DIFFERENT" FROM THE TRUCKS ON THE LOT. I don't recommend dealing with this UHaul. The associates are rude, the truck was so gross and disgusting, and they have hidden fees of having to pay DOUBLE if you drop it off some place other then the location you picked up at. A week later our mom got diagnosed with cancer with a month to live after she passed we went to go threw the storage to clean it out and pay the bill to get told we can not access the storage bc it's under my moms name and there was nothing we could do about it so after my little brother and I lost our house our only parent now all of our things including all family photos and home videos.
