ThIs is my opinion: Almost SIXTEEN yrs ago, TM did foot…read moresurgery. Soon afterward an infection developed. TM was insistent it was not an infection, but would repeat, it's an "allergic reaction to the fixation screen" which he said he had never seen before. I said look at it, it's got to be an infection. A doppler was ordered, even though i insisted it was not a blood clot. It was not. I was sent to a pain clinic for an ordered painful spinal injection to check for a sympathetic nerve disorder. I was told it will only work if I had RSD sympathetic nerve disorder. I insisted that's not what it was. It was not. Before that appointment TM apparently notified the pain clinic dr it was not an infection. Throughout this time, I kept saying it has to be an infection. I was repeatedly told it was not. Even though there was redness, incredible, screaming pain, much swelling (the foot was huge) and oozing from an incision. Pain meds did no good. The pain was off the charts. I could barely deal with all that constant pain and I never thought I would ever walk again. I had gotten weaker, with less snap. With an unsterile cotton swab TM swabbed the ooze for the lab. Until the nurse came in and said here let's use a sterile one (though the area was already swabbed relatively clean by then). We discussed several times, having a CRP test, but none was given. Days turned into weeks, then months passed. One follow-up appt, about 4 months after the initial surgery, a podiatrist was at the clinic and TM asked me if the podiatrist could take a look. Of course, I said yes. The podiatrist looked at the foot and seemed like he practically ran out of the room. TM came in and ordered an I&D. Complete w a wound vac, etc. Yet the oozing, redness, edema, incredible pain, etc continued. After dealing w TM for 6 horrid, painfilled months, we went to a specialist from the University of Iowa. As soon as he saw it, he knew (he confirmed what i repeatedly had said) that it was a chronic infection and ordered a couple more clean up surgeries plus a PICC line w strong antibiotics. Antibiotic allergies issues developed. More surgeries resulted. We were also told the infection had been eating away the tissues etc inside the foot. With a total of six surgeries, a day has not gone by, day after day, where i have not have pain and issues. I was told with an extended infection and multiple surgeries, painful arthritis developed. I had also been told by a source, they thought the tendon had originally been pulled too tightly. I did not have this foot pain prior to this. But going on about 16 years, i have pain and issues morning, noon, and night. It even interrupts sleep. It has affected every aspect of my (our) lives. It's going on SIXTEEN years of constant pain and issues. Also, since that time, my foot has been overpronated outward, making the inner ankle receive the impact of every step. 16 years ago, i asked TM about the outward swing of my foot often, because I was worried and concerned it would now always be overpronated and swing awkwardly outward. I received no real answer. Yes, it is still overpronated and still has an outward swing, causing many issues and constant pain. Our lives have been greatly impacted by all of this. In the years past, i had asked other Drs about a surgery to help fix it, but was told it's too messed up and they didn't want to touch it, for fear of opening up a " Pandora's Box". In summary, I would never, ever recommend TM.

He proceeded to tell me that after ( 4 other doctors and 11 years of treatment) on my elbow ( tennis elbow) he saw nothing . Well again he didn't. Even look at the swelling! I couldn't believe as I left ORA that this was a pain management doctor. Lucky for me , my husband is a Veteran and we have dual residency, I've contacted a doctor in Nevada who is familiar with my injury from 30 years of doing cocktails and they will treat it . What a waste ! Took me months to get into see him.

They say "urgent care," but then act like they won't see you unless you have an appointment and that you should wait, no matter how long, or how much pain you are in to see your "assigned provider" who works in a different office many miles away. All my friend wanted was some sort of shot or something to take his pain away so he can feed his livestock. I heard both the receptionist and the nurse admonish a 77 year old former Reagan era AIDS nurse like a child for being in pain and simply going to a place that said "Urgent Care" on the sign to get Urgent care.

bunionectomy with a single pin…read more.... old-school techniques that have not been used in larger cities for many years..... she put in too small of a pin and then had to remove it and put in a larger size pin!... this caused my bone to shatter...my bone had to be pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle....when i woke...i was handed my xray...my son, who is a radiologist....said...they broike your foot.....When i asked Pam why i was in excruciating pain...she said i got what i asked for...i had to order the surgery report to find out why my veins in my leg were bulging so bad, and why did i wake up with a jolt on the operating table.....cuz she screwed up...literally many years ago, a dr. in the Moline Ortho office operated on a wrong limb of a patient....Pam left that org. during this time, and moved to davenport, perhaps where insurance is cheaper...i had always wondered if it was her that was the sleepy surgeon..... She had a moment of failure that led me to a great deal of pain. Thank you for the mystery Pam....you could have just told me...hey, i screwed up...literally.... She also cut the top of my foot (2-3inches)....the area between the metartsals.....i have quite a scar visible in all my sandals....she did not inform me before the surgery that i would have this unsightly scar.... i cannot recommend Pam Davis unless you like hidden surprises. i recently got a 2nd opinion on her work from a surgeon in California....he questionned the length of the incision....5 inches down the side of my foot.....he said his incisions are half that long......he also questionned why there was an incision on the top of my foot.......

Do NOT ever express your heartfelt feelings of how you may possibly be afraid to have a surgery done, or have more questions to her. This woman doesn't have time for it. You are questioning her, HUGE MISTAKE. She has that "God mentality being a surgeon." I faced a lasting lifetime decision and wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. WRONG with her, she treated me like I was cuckoo. She has ZERO compassion as she showed it that day. I thank God I didn't have her do the surgery. I was told the truth by a world class surgeon in another city, NOT to have the surgery, as my pain would never go away. Bittersweet yes, but I want the truth, and all she did was sugarcoat it. I am also glad I didn't have it done, as I read the other review of her on here, I feel bad for that woman who did have hers. I wish more people knew about Yelp, we are simply telling our own truthful experience.
