Then, I waited two months to see their actual doctor, got to appt on time and 45 min later told that the doctor did not come in as usual at 9:15. Then, I was there an additional 2 hours while they wrote me a refill on my Rx and printed out results from a test taken two-three weeks ago. They blamed myself and the other patients for their issues. They refused to help with my issues that I came in to speak to the doctor about, and they also violated HIPPA by explaining my entire case file with the entire staff within earshot of every patient on the non-urgent side and the waiting room. Also, if you request assistance with pain, such as pain management and what to do about it as a tonic-clonic epileptic, they treated me like a drug addict trying to get pills. Following the submission of my referral, I received a text message a week later stating that my records were under review and that I would receive a follow-up call to schedule an appointment. That call never came. When I followed up myself, I was informed that scheduling could not proceed without the complete records from a sleep study conducted over two decades ago. This requirement is not only unreasonable but also profoundly out of touch with the realities of long-term medical care. In the 20+ years since I received my CPAP, not a single provider--whether physician, home health company, or insurance--has required those records, or EVEN asked to check the machine. Expecting a patient to retrieve documentation from a defunct sleep center or from physicians whose practices have changed hands and locations multiple times, especially from an era when electronic medical records were barely in use, reflects a disturbing lack of flexibility and common sense. This experience demonstrated a clear failure in communication, accountability, and patient-centered care. I would strongly advise others to seek alternatives.

Called them to check status the lady at the front desk was extremely rude, told me there is a "doctor shortage" in Iowa and that I would have to wait 2 or 3 weeks before a doctor could squeeze me in? Then proceeded to get even more rude and hung up the phone on me. Clearly if you are making an appointment with a doctor you'd like to find out what is going on with you before 2 or 3 weeks pass by- there is not a doctor shortage in Iowa. On the Genesis health page alone there are 14 full pages of doctors all within their network. Such a shame that good doctors are being represented by such terrible front office staff.
