She…read morealways has time to answer questions and I never feel like she is in a rush to move on to the next patient. The down side of that is it is not too uncommon for her to be running late. I don't get angry about it, though, because I know the reason for that is that she will NOT rush ANY visit WITH ANY patient. Over the course of the day enough people think of additional questions that keeps her busy answering and she just runs behind. I would rather have to wait longer than normal and have her undivided attention for as long as I need it when I do see her. She has never failed to meet that expectation which is why we have been seeing her for over 20 years now I would say. Despite how many patients she might see over the course of a day/week/or month it never ceases to amaze me how she always remembers bits and pieces of what I do for a living and always asks about my wife. Keep in mind that I typically only see her maybe 2-3 times/year. She must have an excellent memory. We feel fortunate to have her as our primary care physician. By and large I would say that all the staff that I have ever dealt with were equally courteous and kind as Dr. Kumar is. I always feel like I am treated with the utmost courtesy and kindness.

I needed to find a new Gyno's office since I would also need to do an ultrasound to see if my 14cm (5.5 in) ovarian cyst responded to this treatment. I have NEVER had to jump through so many hoops trying to get a new physician. I was VERY upset! I have been treated at Duke, UNC, Baptist Health, KentuckyOne, and MDH in the past and have never experienced such difficulties trying to get someone to take over my treatments. After I sent my medical records over, I was STILL getting the run around. I have since cancelled my appointment with your facility and I'm telling EVERYONE about it too

New patients and Tricare recipients WARNING!…read more They advertise that it takes ten days and mailing time after you "apply" to become a patient within this facility. That is a LIE! Fourteen days ago I arrived and completed the "application" showing them I have three (03) medical insurance plans and told them I would take any physician who specialized in internal medicine and would accept me as a patient. I just got off the phone with them and I was turned down by a physician and my "application" went into the "bucket". This wonderful receptionist had to obtain guidance from someone and now I can have the "privilege" of calling them tomorrow to see if another doctor will accept me as a patient. Since I am in need now, new to the area and carry three medical payers I guess I will just be one who keeps tying up the ER at GENESIS for care! Hey, here is a novel idea, how about you pull your clinicians into a new patient lottery on a weekly basis and if the requested/primary physician declined you could let someone else decide if they want the new patient "on the spot" instead of making them wait another week in the "bucket". OR simply tell me you don't want me as a patient via a telephone call and I will look elsewhere.... Must just be my 56 year old in decent health mind BUT sure seems to me making someone having a bit of an issue wait is not the way to rack up a decent YELP rating or word of mouth "recommendation" list. Again, I have a med issue that needs care, have three (03) insurance policies and can't get these CLOWNS to even tell me how long it takes to be accepted into their facility. Please send me a denial letter and let's be done and how about CALLING a newly accepted patient as someone may need your help.
