Recently Bill and Sam did a major painting job for me at a subdivision…read moreI am developing. They painted thousands of square feet of stucco walls, ornamental iron gates as well as a series of pipe railings over new storm drain culverts. Each of these jobs required different a paint, primer and application process. They completed the work to a very high standard, on schedule and did a perfect clean-up as each phase of the work was done. Beyond this, Bill and Sam are just friendly, hard-working guys. They have my highest recommendation.

I first hired Bill and Sam for getting my popcorn ceilings scraped and retextured, and I saw very…read morequickly that they have great attention to detail and pride in their work. As they worked, they took the time to make multiple repairs to the ceiling, leaving a very professional result. They were very responsive to text, and even accommodating of scheduling my project quickly so that I could move into my new house as soon as possible. As I continued moving in, I identified some projects that were outside my ability: some plumbing, I didn't have time to paint, and I had walls that had 30 years of texture damage from fixtures, prior wainscoting, and prior repairs. These guys took care of it all, and I was so glad to have a perfectionist doing the wall repairs, they came out wonderful! They even took the time to give me advice on the other projects that I was working on myself. Very pleased with the experience.

Unfortunately, they were incredibly careless and simply washed all of the concrete from that home, causing it to drain down in front of our home and three other neighbors. We were extremely upset by this and tried to reach out to the contractor to address the situation, but they never responded to our calls. We're now considering filing a complaint and taking legal action against them. Overall, we would not recommend this contractor to anyone. Update: After posting this review and sending a screen shot to him/then, a gentleman from the company called me and told me it is not against the law to do what he did. As I was trying to I ask him if he was going to pay for the cleanup, he said I am a very bad person and hung up the phone. I then wrote them another text message as follows: I called your numbers for 2 days. No one returned my calls. If you pay the expenses of the cleanup for the mess that you left and caused, I am happy to remove the reviews. Cleanup cost is $480. They did not reply.

Unfortunately this came to a startling halt. When we made the decision on our colors it was made very clear that we wanted Dunn Edwards. This was very well known and samples for provided to us in the large block samples. Since things are pretty busy out there, Robin asked if we would not mind giving those back once work began as they may need them for other customers at some point. We didn't think anything of it and so we offered to give those back. Looking back we really wish we had never done that. You'll find out why. We went through the process of getting our colors approved. Colors requested were approved through HOA to be Dunn Edwards. We set the date for our paint to get done. We were super excited as this was a big purchase for us on our home that we plan to stay in to retire in. We've never done a big purchase like this on a home that we have owned since we got married. So as you can expect this is pretty exciting for us. So starts the process, and make it busy doing the patchwork and getting prepared to put the paint on. We were never informed of any need to substitute to an alternate brand, in other words to color match. Two of the four colors are not terrible, but not 100%.The other two are completely wrong. We tried to address this, but had no resolve. They made the choice to proceed with color matching outside of the brand chosen, and won't take responsibility for the fact that they didn't come close to matching at all. Yet, they want payment in full. They never cleared the alternative brand with us, and just tried to pull a fast one on us, hoping we wouldn't notice. Well, we noticed. Sherwin Williams doesn't equal Dunn Edwards. Not even close. Such a shame.
