The other owner got on the phone and basically attacked me, very unprofessionally, for "giving his lash girls a hard time while he was trying to get out to see a sick relative." So he decides to call ME back when he is trying to get out to see a sick relative instead of waiting until Monday and handling this professionally? Really? And... who's decision was that? So that was the reason he gave for his bad attitude that he took out on a new client who spent over $600 on the two services I did with them. NOTHING is worth being spoken to and treated this way. It was also their scheduling limitations that caused the issue in the first place. They lost a good client and I wish I had not spent all that money with them. I'd never go back, do NOT recommend this place for anything and I feel sorry for Alex.

My student technician, Ana, did an okay job. The area did require touching up in 1 month. I had no problems with the procedure. Ana had done my brow retouch a week earlier and she assured me that everything looked well. The eyebrows needed touching up, but that wasn't included. The brows were turning gray, already. Jessica Mpiana is the owner of this shop. She's to oversee everything that the students do. Jessica Mpiana made me an appointment for 1 month for a retouch. October 15 th,2022. The appointment was approaching and on about October 7th,Lauren, the receptionist called. Left me a message that Ana would be out on Saturday at 3pm , and that JESSICA MPIANA would be doing the retouch. I left a message on the machine to say, "yes". I happened to call again and they didn't have me on the schedule. This tag message went on all week. Tuesday, Friday appointments offered on the phone answering service but they never would pick up the phone so that I could confirm things. I do work. I am a person who is not sitting around waiting on UNIQUE BROWS. I called on FRIDAY, the 14th. Since the job was of such poor quality, l needed to get the retouch , in a timely manner. I called UNIQUE BROWS and spoke to LAUREN. I explained the problem and l really needed an appointment. I explained that I had paid for service and I needed it completed. She had her BOSS call me back, where JESSICA MPIANA questioned me over and over what l said to LAUREN? I explained what I said. She said that I was RUDE to her STAFF... she told me that she didn't want me back in her SHOP. I asked about my payment, she said that she would give me a REFUND. She asked me how it was to be paid, l said a CERTIFIED CHECK. This was on OCTOBER 14th, 2022. On NOVEMBER 8th, 2022, l called UNIQUE BROWS. I expressed that l have not received my refund for $175.00. They gave no explanation for the tardiness of the REFUND. They asked me for my address and I gave it to them. About 2 hours later, l am doing tree trimming , in the front yard. JESSICA MPIANA's husband pulls up in a truck with tinted windows. He lets the passenger window down and asks for me. I have seen him before.He says " l didn't know you dressed like that." He handed me the check. This is Friday, on Monday l deposited the check into my bank. On Thursday, the credit union calls and said that the CHECK is NO GOOD!!!....INSUFFICIENT FUNDS!!! I called UNIQUE BROWS and asked to speak with JESSICA MPIANA."She is in a meeting ", ANA replied. I asked if her husband was there....." He's in a meeting " I asked ANA to ask her to call me about the insufficient funds via the check. Ladies and gentlemen, listen to me.... When the price seems too good, it is! I never thought that a legitimate business in such a prestigious area of town, couldn't afford to refund monetary services. I have to now find someone else to do my eyeliner and brows.... After the17.0 loss. I am kind and caring. I have never knowingly hurt anyone. To BAR me from your SALON,Charge me for services, not complete the service, send your husband to my house...PROFESSIONAL???? I might as well go to a back alley unlicensed shop.
