I have long natural nails and got some gel color by Lynn. She works fast (I was in a rush) but meticulously. Lynn was able to file all my nails STRAIGHT & SYMMETRIC which seems to be difficult to do with natural nails because other places almost always make one or two lean in a weird direction. (It's understandable that it would be easier to get uniformity out of acrylics because they all start somewhat uniform). I'm also loving the matte look right now and this lounge has a true matte finish, unlike other nail salons who use a matte coat that really just equates to "less glossy." I purchased a Groupon several months ago and needed to use it before it expired, so I made the trip to Riviera Village to check this place out. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff spoke and understood English, and there was no non-English chattering between them. The salon is very clean and my nail tech Annie did a great job on my mani/pedi. They also have a hair stylist I will be checking out. A review is long overdue. This is my 3rd time with Lynn and I love her work. Since moving down here I've been to a couple different places to call my go to. Lynn is very detailed and takes her time with you. She also has tons of different designs, stickers, bling to fulfil your dream. This time I also brought my sister here to get her mani/pedi done. The only thing I would advise is be very careful and make sure to express clearly what you want. I told the guy that books the appointment and takes the money that my sister needs just regular mani pedi. But instead they gave her gel polish without confirming with me or her. So at first they charged me the wrong amount and later had to ask me for more money. I don't mind paying, but I prefer to know before hand. So if you like the salons that never asks you or tell you how much it costs then this is the place for you. Also if you don't mind that this place is a bit more $$ compared to other salons. But Ty and Lynn are so friendly. Not to mention they provide your own little tv to watch movies. My fill was 40+5tip My sister mani pedi gel polish for fingers and design was 40+15+15+5tip so hers was a bit pricy so I'm afraid my sister will be hessitant to come back. The person that helped her is Tina, very nice and thorough. They however don't offer beverage which to many salons is a basic standard now. I love getting gel manicures because of how beautiful and durable they last - but its usually very hard to find a decent place that takes the time to do it right. A lot of nail salons are usually Asian owned and then to rush through the process so that they can move on to their next clientele. But not Ty & Lynn. Not only is the salon super clean and full of nail accessories, they also have individual tv's at each station for patrons to watch movies on. I scheduled a gel manicure with Lynn, and not only was she thorough with my nails but she was very clean, cleaning up her own work station whenever there was a break between servicing my nails. She didn't rush the experience what so ever and was ever so kind. I feel quite fortunate to be able to find such a gem. read more

I've been going to Ty and Lynn's for about 3 years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've even followed them to their new location. I hadn't seen them in a while yet Ty would ask my BFF about me and remembered my name. My last trip there didn't disappoint. I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure and Ty did a great job. She's very thorough and left my feet so soft! I was very pleased with both. My gel manicure is going on to two weeks and still looks good. It hasn't chipped or cracked. It's hard to find a nail place that doesn't leave you feeling like you're on some sort of assembly line. You're just the next in line and they want to get you out ASAP. That's not Ty and Lynn. I always leave this place happy with my hair and nails. Ty is the hairstylist and she's awesome. She's funny and provides movies for you to watch and enjoy while getting your hair done. I have been getting my nails done with Lynn for a long time now. I get gels. She is extremely meticulous and does a beautiful job on my nails. I won't go to anyone else. She is also great at helping pick colors and never steers me wrong. After getting tired of driving 45 minutes to get a pedicure because I didn't trust anyone else with my toes, I finally tried pedicures with them as well. I am a very challenging customer for pedicures because I have deep hang nails that can be very painful if not correctly removed. They take the time needed to do this properly, under the watchful supervision of Ty who makes sure all is done well. I always appreciate the time they take on me for this. I highly recommend this shop. The prices are very reasonable, the place is beautiful and clean, and Ty and Lynn know what they are doing. read more

I bought the Groupon deal for a pedicure and gel manicure as it was a good deal and the salon had great reviews. The salon was a little hard to find as the sign was outdated and said "Blossom Salon" I think this was because they had just moved to their new Redondo location. The atmosphere of the salon was very nicely decorated, the massage pedicure chairs were comfy, the salon looked very clean, the employees were nice, and they had lots of nail polish colors to choose from. I do however have a few reasons why I will not be rating this salon 5 stars. First off, they did not put anything in the pedicure water (it was just warm water) therefore my feet did not leave as soft as they usually do after a pedicure, second they over filed the top of both my toenails and fingernails thinning them out and leaving them more prone to breakage, third the gel color I chose was different than the color that showed up on my nails (I compared it after and it was about 2 shades off), fourth they didn't treat my cuticles as well as they usually are treated with a manicure, and fifth they did not do a good job of filing my toenails and I had to re-file them the next day as they were sharp and not smoothly filed. Other than these few things (some of them such as the filing and thinning of the nail could have been avoided if I was more proactive during my mani-pedi) going to this salon was a great experience. I would recommend coming here and will likely be coming back, I just wish they could put something for my feet to soak in besides just warm water. read more
