It will definitely take a few lessons to get the technique under my belt (I am sure this varies by person). Emily owns the studio and teaches the lesson. There was about 10 people in my "intro to wheel throwing" class. Everything is provided in the class and it was about three hours long. Emily teaches you the techniques and you get to make as many as you can within the course period. I was able to make 4 imperfect "bowls." I suggest that you not wear anything nice because it will be messy. I got clay/mud in my shoes, on my legs, and my clothes--fortunately, it comes out fairly easily, just a warning! However, I think it was worth it. I found the process to be very therapeutic...and humbling. I plan to take more classes and hope to get better!

As others have mentioned parking can be a challenge but I was informed that parking garages are nearby. The meeting room is on the second floor and there are stairs and an elevator for easy entry. There is also a patio deck that was perfect for collaborating on a warm sunny spring day. This space can accommodate about 100 or so attendees and there is room for catering. The event coordinator was beyond helpful as we had to change the seating configuration at the last minute. This is a great spot for a mid-sized or smaller event. As a bonus the Main street activity is a brief stroll away.

It's a great place for a medium sized company meeting of 40 or so people. The obvious problem I spotted was that you are relegated to street parking since they only have a handful of spaces in back. Some of the pros I will mention are the fact that they do actually have an elevator off to the side of the building. Upstairs in the Center they do have a full kitchen complete with refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a nice outdoor balcony with additional seating and there are two glass garage doors which can be raised. They have a nice lounge area in the corner along with two bathrooms located behind the kitchen. There is a 6 x 8' flat screen for presentations on the side wall along with a smaller 3 x 4' one on the other wall. They also have plenty of tables and chairs for the event space if you need them. There does seem to be an area which appears to be a stage area, although it only has two plugs, but it does have some effect lighting. As for the cons, I've already mentioned that you will be competing for street parking. The upstairs room itself has no sound deadening material so it gets very loud. No laminate or carpeted flooring, just concrete. Basically, this is just a good acceptable 31/2 star venue to host corporate meetings or quiet remembrances. We loved that concept but understand it wasn't as busy as it absolutely should have been. Such a gem. Anyway, we were late sign ups for this session and attended 4 classes and one bonus thanksgiving week one. My kiddo is 2 and she has so much fun here. Each week they have a theme like "going to the farm" and "transportation" and set up stations through out the house that apply to it. It feels very "kid-led" in the best way. She can decide when she wants to work on her canvas that they create through the session, or if she wants to work on a science experiment, play with lights, etc. There is so much sensory play activities and I love how it's okay to get messy and learn at the same time. The outdoor space is super fun. There is a large wall the kids can paint on. Lots of stations that encourage them to use their imaginations. We love the mud kitchen and the little "store" set up. Lots of time was spent on the pretend phone taking orders. We live in the Tarrytown area so it's a little bit of a drive but 100% worth it. There are such few places that invite toddlers in and lead the way. The next session starts in January and we are really trying to make it work the preschool schedule and nap times.

On July 3, 2025--well over three months before the date--we informed them in writing that we had to cancel due to personal circumstances and asked to discuss a fair, partial refund since there was still plenty of time to rebook the date. After that message, we never heard from anyone again. No follow-up call, no acknowledgment of the situation--complete silence. Keeping a full $3,400 while refusing to even reply is unacceptable business practice. If you're a couple researching venues, be very cautious. Verify every refund and cancellation term in writing and assume that once Angel Springs has your deposit, you may never hear from them again if things change. The property is beautiful, but the way they treat customers is not.

We had our wedding there in March and it was truly the best day of my life. The property is filled beautiful old trees, white fences, fields and log cabins. The ceremony and reception space was dreamy! The ceremony overlooks a beautiful field surrounded by these same old and winding trees. The sun sets over this field and creates an ideal setting for stunning photography. The event space has amazing stone walls with vines growing around the outside and stunning chandeliers inside. Natalie runs the space and was our day of coordinator. She was the best decision we made! She is kind, patient, and gets things done swiftly and with grace. I would recommend this place highly for a wedding or any event.

There are several play areas, such as a kitchen, a play fort with a slide, ladders, stuffed animals, and building blocks. My little one loved the slide, learned to climb the ladder, and was very impressed with the mini kitchen. There is a small cafe serving coffee, cold drinks, and pastries. You can bring your own snacks. Shoes are not allowed in the play area, so make sure you are wearing socks. Oh, if your little one is under 6 months, there is no charge! What a great addition to the neighborhood!

There is plenty of parking, and Brooklyn's is right next door if you need to recharge with food and beverages. Lastly they offer monthly memberships.
