The windshield replacement here literally means they'd ONLY do that. It's not their problem when molding has be broken to replace windshield. 2. Apparently, molding needs to be taken off to replace windshield. My driver's side molding was not broken but the installation (putting molding back to where it was) was a joke. 3. You get what you pay for: $310 for windshield replacement ONLY. The technician did offer to install new molding free of charge, however, he asked me to buy parts on eBay myself. I really don't know about those 5 stars experience but how I would know what to buy?! I don't want to go back to there for "free molding installation" because I don't play games anymore. The windshield had not been properly sealed or glued into place. I immediately returned to the store and showed the manager the issues. He seemed surprised, which was concerning. I don't understand how a manager would allow a vehicle to leave the premises without inspecting the completed work. More importantly, if there had been a problem during the repair, it should have been disclosed to me before I paid for a job that was clearly not completed correctly. This experience feels dishonest and has left me wondering if there may be additional damage to my vehicle that I have not yet discovered. The manager said he would order a replacement rearview mirror and correct the installation issues, but now I'm left waiting even longer to have my car properly repaired. After spending four hours there and leaving with more damage than when I arrived, I cannot recommend Safelite based on my experience. To make matters worse, I had to call customer service myself to find out that they cannot locate replacement parts for the damage they caused. My Audi TT is a well-maintained, garage-kept vehicle that is only driven occasionally and has been carefully cared for. I trusted Safelite with my car and paid for a professional repair. Instead, I left with a damaged vehicle, an improperly installed windshield, and no clear resolution. Texted for a quote, schedule a time (account for 1 day for him to order the glass), he came out the following morning to repair my windshield. Don't get caught by the cops with a ticket for having a cracked front windshield that obstructs your view. Two people were working on the windshield so rest assured the most care will be taken during the repair. They texted me to let me know when they were on the way. Then called me when they were here. When the repair was done, they called me to let me know it was done. It was that easy! My suggestion is to park in an area where all of your doors can be opened wide so that they'll spend less time worrying about surroundings and more focus on the repair.
