The shop is very clean and, unlike many stores of this nature, you can walk around without fear of creating a domino-effect of falling knick-knacks. I saw a really interesting German bicycle here recently - it was from the early 1970s and was made in West German, which I thought was neat. The shop owner was very knowledgeable about the bike and was able to tell me a little history on it. If you're strolling down Main Street and are doing some shopping or have some time on your hands, Main Street Mercantile is a great place to have a look-see.

I'm afraid to say that being a retail business is hard, and sometimes people get worn out from it. That said this is a solid shop, and there is a lot of inventory that changes ALL THE TIME ! People love the quirks of the "TV show" people, but when they encounter real people... run to the internet and "trash them". Be kind... it's a store that is unlike any other for 200 miles or more.
