We came here after moving my son into his Purdue dorm. We came here to see if we could find a…read moredecent fan or a fridge as those were already sold out in the stores nearby. Before its door opened, there was already a line waiting out there. Once we got in, we realized that all the fans and fridges were sold out. We just walked around the store to explore what they had. There was a variety of items, from office supplies to personal items. Some of the items were likely from lost & found, while some looked so brand new. They also had some Purdue spirit wears that might be from previous seasons. We were able to get some Purdue sweatshirts at a very cheap price, and we also got some office supplies such as staplers, staples, and printing paper. Those were all brand new but way much cheaper than we could buy from outside stores. Although we didn't get what we were originally looking for, I would recommend this store if you're looking to buy a good deal. You may also want to come before it opens to make sure that you get what you want before someone might grab it.

Not for computers unless you really need something quick…read more There prices aren't the best. I wouldn't have minded paying the same as what I do online on eBay but their desktop offerings were $5-10 more than eBay offerings for same but with hard drives. Thats even after shipping. Still, it's nice to get it on the spot. They did have some i7 that were completely priced wrong. I could find eBay versions for $50-100 less for better versions. Their monitors were $50 for used dated models. It's possible to get newer models for a little more these days and at least you can return them. A budget model these days are better than those older models. Now for non-computing stuff it's kind of great. This is of course if you are into antique lab equipment (I am). Then it's worth a look. The microscope I picked up wasn't a bargain but it was a good price for what I got and was looking for something just like it. The furniture was hit or miss in value. Definitely bring a truck or large vehicle. I have a small car and there was an old mail sorting cabinet I wanted for my workshop. I only went once but I'm sure there are days where the bargains are better.

I recommend trying out other locations, too, since what they might not take, other locations will.

Plato's seems to be in its own little world, many shoes I've seen here are not worth their price at all even in decent condition, again shop a little on eBay and much better deals abound. What is also very weird is similar condition shoes brought in to sell are rejected, they told me too worn out, why not just tell me you have no shelf space or something? Or make a low ball offer? The four items they did accept were given decent prices, always feels like an early Christmas to get cash from someone, but I wish they had an online option, upload photos and state condition for an estimate. There's no way you're going through my twenty items in a ten minute time to determine the condition. Again the items I've seen on shelves across stores from Plato's in Fort Wayne to Peoria Illinois over the years make no sense or pricing logic for what I am offered when I try to sell. This is what really bugs me alongside the prices on used clothing matching new!

Wow! What a great place to shop for consignment items. For those of you not in the know,…read moreconsignment is not the same as thrift stores. They tend to be high end items and prices reflect that there is a percentage of the purchase price going back to the consignee, hence higher prices overall. However, this facility is much more user friendly that most consignment locations. Yes, the merchandise is higher quality but the pricing is reasonable AND they have a discount cove in the back of the store for items that have been in the store too long. In the cove, I picked up a Forever 21 crochet overlay for less than $10 dollars. This item would have been over $100 new. I also picked up some very cool drop earrings for $6. Also the staff is very available and friendly. That is always a plus. Trust me, this is one of Lafayette's hidden gems!

She was so helpful, fun, and honest about what looked good and what didn't. She was well put together and knew how to put pieces together. I went in with my friend to help her shop and walked out with a couple of things myself. I was feeling good and felt like I met a new friend. I don't want to leave out the other lady that was working. I apologize for not remembering the name. When she wasn't helping other customers, she was engaging in our shenanigans. It was like a girl's day out, and the two of them made it SO much funnier. Thank you for having such a beautiful boutique. The quality of the clothes and the uptown modern decor makes you feel like you are living the high life. Five stars all around!! Thanks, Sara
