The crispy brussel sprouts are great. Tonkotsu was not what I expected. Had a burnt flavor and wasn't very hot.

My husband and I stopped in for food and drinks. We shared several small plates including the garlic noodles and Brussels sprouts, which were all very tasty. The two yakitori items we tried were also really nice. We also each had a couple of drinks. The Yuzu Sour was a standout. Our server was super friendly and the space was nicely lit and inviting. Can't come to Chattanooga without stopping at this underground gem. Everything we've ordered has been fantastic, and service has been consistently great. The tonkatsu is rich and flavorful, I think our favorite dish, and we can barely finish a bowl between us. On the outside of the building, there are stairs down to the front of the restaurant. However, if you go into the building at ground level, there's an elevator and a fully wheelchair accessible entrance on basement level. read more

We decided to have dinner at Two Ten Jack tonight! I love ramen noodles so i was pumped to try this restaurant! when you first walk in the atmosphere is great. Very industrial and a cool vibe! we ordered edamame, and two bowls of ramen. one bowl was the pork, and the other was the vegetable ramen! both were incredible! they were both so flavorful and so filling! i definitely recommend this restaurant and these dishes! read more

I was glad to find a ramen and sushi place in Chattanooga, but we felt a little bit disappointed because the lunch menu was extremely limited, only down to a few options. They didn't have sushi or even miso soup for appetizer. I'd think miso soup is a popular dish in Japanese cuisine. I and my girlfriend ordered 2 different kind of ramen; one is chicken based and the other one is pork based. The presentation is beautiful, but the broth was really salty. 5 friends had dinner and drinks last night. Not a drinker myself- I had coffee which they made fresh from a Keurig. Small cups. Water glasses - small - no ice. Crispy Brussel Sprouts were good - loaded with garlic. No romance after that. Had the 2-10 Salad. it was Ok. The whole idea - is that this is a Japanese Tavern - not for the big southern eater. Lite eating - small plates. No One got the noodles which may be the best seller. Ladies enjoyed wine and brandy. I think it is best for getting out of the crowd to a more intimate dark quiet setting where you can talk and share a drink with some light food. read more

We ordered the crispy brussels. The first bite was good but then it gets more and more saltier... My aunt ordered the tonkontsu but the chashu tastes a bit unfresh... I ordered the chicken ramen, but apparently, it's very spicy... They put the spicy oil in there even though the menu didn't say so. The ONLY good dish was the spicy crab garlic noodle but I would prefer more garlic taste since its name does say garlic noodle. Our server was pretty nice so there's the second star. Now I saw this place and thought do I or Don't I?? a major question in the foodie section of my brain. I went for it just for giggles. Well now I'm mighty glad that I did. This place is pretty awesome. I love the little Konro grill in the kitchen. This thing is so cool because you use a binchotan charcoal that burns super hot so you sear everything really fast. It also adds a really good flavor to it. I looked at their menu and pretty much knew I wanted some ramen and then the yakitori or single skewers of yumminess. I have tried almost all of them by now. I do have some favs so far. The pork belly is yummy and so is the bacon wrapped asparagus. The scallops are good also. I moved onto the small plates for a few choices too. I got the pork gyoza one time and the garlic noodles. Not going to see any vampires around me for a while. I have also had the fried rice and it was good but not great. On the ramen side I have had my fav tonkotsu and the spicy crab garlic noodles. The inside of this place is super cool with a lot of reclaimed wood like everyone is using these days. But the ceilings are really low and after all they do have all of the plumbing and sprinklers pipes for the whole building. Part of the totally coolness for a person like me. I have found a new home in Two Ten Jack for I think I have started that ramen craving again. read more

I suspect most people go for the drinks and social aspects. But the food is really good. Although the Yakitori is listed as apps get a few and it's a great meal. It's sounds like the cheap college food but the ramen is great... when it's cold out. read more

Not on the food but on my experience. I came her with my girlfriend on a Saturday night when we were visiting chatt from out of state. We came maybe 645 ish. Told that everything is reserved for the night but we could wait around the bar and maybe someone would get up. So we went to bar waited for 10 min. Another couple showed up eyeing the bar around then. Maybe another 10 min later a couple got up and the couple who came after us swooped in quickly. Alright so I have a look around, there are three open seats at kitchen bar, I counted at least 7 tables open in restaurant though I didn't check all areas, 3 large picnic tables that look like they seat 12-16 each have 4 people total on them. I went back to host person and I asked what the deal was with so much open seating. She said to me I don't know what you want me to do it's all booked. So I ask to clarify now, is it you have multiple reservations coming in at 715 or are they spread out. Apparently spread out. I told the female host and what I'm guessing was a manager person with glasses that I was disappointed and she the. Told me we should've called ahead then, which I reminded her then we aren't from chatt and just wanted to get quick food which usually ramen is. Again I got a nothing I can do response. So we left and got food at another restaurant nearby which was good. I sent email on this and have had no response. Most ramen places I have gone to have a no reservation policy. I'm not sure why you would book 100 percent as it's not very efficient, evidenced by the number of empty tables for the nearly 30 minutes I was there. I also don't know why if you have this issue and you tell customers to get a bar seat why you make it first come first serve and let customers hunger games it out for seats. Also don't know why you the host didn't suggest any solutions... like maybe I can buy a togo... maybe I can eat here as long as I finish in 30 min, maybe I can ask the people at the picnic table if they mind sharing the other 8 ft with 2 more people. We are visiting Ruby Falls and stayed there for one day. The Yelp review of this place looks good but we found it's disappointing. First, we arrived at 9:00pm and there was a line, which is ok for a popular place on Saturday night. But the tables were empty and not busy at all. So I figured out it's the staff not efficient at sitting guests. We were lead to a booth in a corner and we found rice and other leftover food on the seat. My son didn't notice the dirty seat and actually sat on the mess. Disgusting! Finally the noodles came. The noodles tasted ok, just a little salty. But the portion is way too small. At least one third less than other Japanese restaurant but the price of $14 is 1/3 more than normal. We also ordered fried rice, which didn't come until we finished noodles. read more

This is some four-star ramen with an extra star for answering my prayers for good ramen in Chattanooga. Truthfully, the noodles could be better, but the rest of the ramen is on point. I get the pork with a side of chili oil, which I highly recommend. I've eaten here a few times and it's always great. Wish they had steamed buns. The atmosphere is pretty cool, too. read more

I had the best Japanese food in my life. The salmon just melt in your mouth. I never tasted anything like that. The ramen are fresh and delicious and you won't be hungry when leaving! Their cocktails are surprising and delicious. I highly recommend the Count to Osaka! 1 The only missing star is for the price. Especially the small starters. Great atmosphere. Fun place to go if you like an adventurous menu. Brussels Sprouts are very strongly flavored, not the best I've ever had but not the worst. The ramen makes a great instagram photo but that was definitely the highlight. Your belly will expand and hurt for several hours afterwards. If the food was any better at Two Ten Jacks I would cry for not being worthy of such good gifts from God!! Everyone there is nice and accommodating. The food is cooked to serve so if it's busy it might be a min. However I would wait for a 1 1/2 to get their food and wonder how I got such awesome food so fast!!!! Great cocktail specials, yummy ramen and perfect small plates. Our sushi roll was good but could have stood to have a more generous portion of tuna. We have not stopped telling people about the Brussel Sprouts a week later. We live in Louisville, Ky and are super sad we can't easily come back and get those Brussels! Perfect location. Love the ambience. Great service. Not the most authentic taste. But i still go occasionally. But yesterday, i took a guest from out of the country here, and felt so bad... everything was so salty. I had to pour water into my ramen broth, the maki was even saltier... we had to ask that to be replaced with something else. The chicken was still salty. So we asked for a small bowl of rice so it can balance the sodium overdose...got charged $4... for a bowl of rice (the nice server made sure we had heaps of it trying to make up for the charge). My guests couldnt really eat much... ‍ I generally don't complain at restaurants. But may be the chef was having an off day? Needless to say, i was a tad embarrassed and will not be bringing out of town guests not knowing if today itz going to be good or bad. read more

Two Ten Jack's ramen is way too salty. I liked the restaurant when it first opened, but the past three times I've eaten there, I left disappointed and with the distinct feeling that I'd ingested entirely too much salt and fat. I'm half Asian by heritage and my mother's food always tastes so much fresher and healthier than this food. My fiance and I went to Two Ten Jack for a belated Valentine's Day date and we ordered the following small plates: yellowtail jalapeno, pork gyoza (pork dumplings), poke (tuna), and takoyaki (octopus hush puppies). For our main dishes, my fiance ordered the tonkotsu (pork ramen) and I ordered the small plate, fried rice. My fiance ordered a couple beers and I had the cold sake. We probably won't visit this place again. Breakdown of each dish below: SMALL PLATES / APPS - Yellowtail jalapeno: Thin sliced yellowtail in a vinegar sauce with a slice of jalapeno on top. We had four very tiny pieces. The serving is incredibly tiny. And we are not big eaters. - Poke: Diced raw tuna with vegetables. This was the best thing we ate. Flavor was complex and tasted fresh. - Pork gyoza: Chewy, purse-shaped dumplings that taste fried and are so-so. I feel like you could get something similar from the frozen section of a grocery store. My mother's meat dumplings are tender and full of the flavors of garlic, ginger, spinach and chopped up pork or chicken - no comparison to mom's dumplings here. - Takoyaki: Fried balls of too-sweet dough make up these hush puppies with minuscule amounts of octopus. I assume the dough was sweetened to play up the natural sweetness of octopus, but instead they tasted like some kind of fried pancake dough with slightly chewy specks of octopus distributed sparingly throughout. No actual flavor of octopus was detectable. MAIN DISHES: - Tonkotsu: Very salty pork broth, with a thin slice of "pork belly", soft-boiled egg, and various vegetables. This dish tastes like melted salt. The vegetables don't taste fresh because the flavor (and tremendous salt) of the broth overpowers everything. The pork belly is not high quality cut. Instead of a fatty, gelatinous, soft and unctuous slice of pork belly, the restaurant has subbed a thin piece of pork. - small plate, Fried Rice: The rice was good, though perhaps cooked with too much oil. I don't love oily fried rice, however, the soft-boiled egg was cooked perfectly. *I asked for something spicy to put on the rice and the waiter suggested some kind of hot paste, and this improved the dish somewhat. Waiter also charged a dollar for this addition which was less than half a teaspoon. read more
