Hiking out of East Glacier, we had a hankerin' for some huckleberry and a burger - this was just the place. The burger was great, clean, and affordable - a plain, simply well-made bison burger of little report. Good though, excellent flavor, and worth consumption. After a hike, leather is worth a few bites - but this was actually a good burger. But the PIE! Oh, My! I've never had huckleberry pie before, but for those that wonder: it's akin to the flavor of blueberry, if you could reach into a blueberry control center deep with the fruit and break the flavor knob all the way off, going well past 140 percent maximum-effort overdrive! It's like the sweetest of blueberry cherry bombs exploding in your mouth. I would kill for huckleberry pie every day! The crust was spectacularly perfect - and entirely worth the $6 give or take it costs per slice. For those very same whom don't know, people have to fight bears for these berries - they're incapable of cultivation. People actually go into the woods with buckets during season to gather, then politely walk in and say: "Ya'll buyin' hucks!?!" I seen't this! I seen't it with my own eyes! Do yourself a favor and buy a slice from the Two Sister's. Boy, if they just had huckleberry ice cream - had some of that at Dornan's in Grand Teton's - but that's a different story entirely. read more

You'd think that being one of two restaurants in the tiny town of Babb, Montana would lower their standards, but just over 20 miles south of the Canadian border is this gem of a restaurant. Over the course of two days, I ate just about everything on the menu I could get my hands on. These people don't just know how to cook, they're doing things you wouldn't expect to find in a town with a population in the low triple digits. The Tofu Banh Mi stands out as a marvelous example of how Vegan-inclusive the menu is, while still being a high enough quality that even carnivores would hardly notice the difference. There is not much of choice for restaurant near this area. Probably five restaurants in 20 miles radius. The cafe has reasonable price for dinner compare to many places in the region. I have ordered the New York Strip. They give me big piece of meat. They grill to my order. It come with stir fry veggie and rice. It accompanied with dinner roll. I would said if the grill has larger flame will be better for the edge and crispy fat better. Any how, it is good and refresh. The deco in the restaurant is something. Food was alright. Service can be a bit slow because of how busy it gets, but the employees were friendly enough and the bathroom was clean. The New York Strip and Banh Mi were both good, but FYI, if you ask for additional pickled veggies for the Banh Mi they will charge you extra. I do NOT recommend ordering the Bison Bolognese. The only thing I can say about it is that it tastes exactly the way it looks. There are plenty of other options on the menu, avoid the Bison Bolognese and save yourself the disappointment. read more

There are pretty few options in the area, but this place came with a recommendation, so we were hopeful. Ambience was sort of 90's skating rink mixed with dive-bar. I had the chicken nachos, my companion the bison ravioli special. She really enjoyed her ravioli, though the sauce was definitely from a jar. My $14 nachos were barebones, lukewarm, and on stale chips. No guacamole, no sour cream, just chips, chicken, salsa, and scallions. Not impressed. The two stars are for the huckleberry shakes we had, which we had spiked with rum. I'm pretty sure hers was the only one of the two that actually included any rum, but the flavor was still good. A group of us came her after hiking in many glacier all day. We all had different dietary preferences. But all of us found something yummy to eat. I am vegetarian and was delighted to see more options then the typical veggie burger. But those who love meat also found things they enjoyed. Extremely poor experience. This place was recommended to us by our Glacier Park tour guide, but we were highly disappointed. The prices are high, food quality low, and service average. Out of the 5 dishes we got, only one was finished. Everything was left half eaten, and we didn't even ask for a box to take out. We had hoped their "famous" huckleberry pie would end the meal on a good note, but that was a total let down. It was $10 for a small piece, and $4 for one scoop of ice cream. So $14 for a single dessert is pretty outrageous. If it was good, then no problem. But the pie was not good at all. It was served cold and nothing about it was special. Much better pie was served at our hotel. After spending $150, we left feeling we should have stayed at our hotel to eat instead of venturing out to this restaurant. This place is great - pulled pork quesadilla is tasty and decently sized, Caesar salads have a kind of pesto taste to them which is really good. I think the atmosphere is funky and cool. Overall good experience for the area. And for everyone saying it's overpriced for what you get, I think they forget the fact that we are out in the middle of nowhere, it costs more to get supplies up here and most likely this place is pretty seasonal..no doubt the prices won't be in comparison to your quick city dive. read more

We were going to eat there, but when I went to ask a simple question, he pointed to the sign "wait to be seated" and rudely told us to "read the sign." Having grown quickly disenchanted with the eating options at the Many Glacier Hotel, we wanted to sample something in the nearby Babb area en route from our travels on the eastern section of Going To The Sun Road. We did notice an abundance of cars here the first time we drove by on our initial journey into the Many Glacier area. So, we chose Two Sisters Cafe for a very late lunch, or very early dinner - whatever you call it when you eat at 4pm and only had a Clif Bar at noon time. Anyways, a very eclectic, groovy, and wild atmosphere. We opined at the cafe as it being not only a place to dine, but also a place that is an "experience". For food, we started with the tomato basil soup of the day - this was the homemade variety, chunky and tasty. For entrees, the falafel platter which was quite filling and offered a variety of foods on the plate (falafel, pita, rice, onions, cucumber, yogurt sauce, olives). Our other entree was the Beyond Meat burger to which we added grilled mushrooms. Accompanied with a beer, we quite enjoyed this meal. Service was splendid - very attentive. Given that this restaurant is literally the only show in town, it came as a surprise that it was very good. The parking lot was full but it is surprisingly big inside and we were seated immediately. The service was excellent from the moment we sat down all the way up to paying the bill. The menu is expansive, the portions are more than ample and we were totally pleased with everything. The prices were normal for the area (read that higher) but when you consider that this is a 5 month a year business, the need to be profitable when they are open assures that they can be back next year. The food was very good. However, their pricing is ridiculous. There were four in our party. The menu states that they won't split the ticket two and two. They said if we wanted separate tickets we would have to sit at separate tables. They won't split it at the register either. They suggested Venmo, which three of us don't use. They also state on the Menu that there is a $7.95 split plate fee. They seated us at two separate tables (designed for four) across the room from each other even though there were two tables next to each other. All of that was just silly. They would rather have other customers waiting longer by forcing us to occupy two tables instead of one. What happened at the cash register was offensive! We both ordered an item because of the no sharing rule. Our mistake was we tried each others food. Yes, they actually added the "split plate fee" to each meal! Even though the food was very good I won't be going back or ever recommending it to anyone. If you are thinking of eating there, be aware of their childish business practices. read more

I wanted this to be a good meal. We stopped by on our way back from hiking Many Glacier. About 130. We go in the front door but the chairs are up lights are mostly off but door unlocked. We leave see an employer out front and ask if and when they are open. Her response "read the notes on the door". And walked off. After sorting through about 5 signs on the door. I concluded they open at 4. But there was a little shack opened for carry out. We gave it a try. Menu and prices not published. The order taker was polite so we ordered fried chicken and club sandwich. Now the fried chicken was not bad only a day or two old but the club had to be three days plus old. $35 dollars for the leftover food. A disappointment for sure. You know I have found most the people in Montana are very very nice but this area east of GNP has some nasty folks. Not all but maybe 10% just are bad apples. The food here is outstanding. It has traditional food, such as bison, with a New Orleans twist, such as Creole and bourbon sauces. Their baked goods are some of the best I ever tasted. I personally enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a diner motif, but very eclectic. I would love to hear the story of how they got all the state and province license plates. The service was good. While we were here visiting Glacier National Park Two Sisters Cafe was the last restaurant we ended up trying. The burgers were average. Nothing too fancy, just your normal average Cafe to get a decent fix after a long hike. The cool thing about this place though is they have a little game you could play on the table while you wait for you food. Some sort of stick optimization puzzle. Just like what everyone else mentioned. The price is high for the product you receive, but that's pretty much the same everywhere in this area. Would I come back? This place was a godsend after a very full day of hiking. We stopped here not knowing anything about it but we were hungry and saw a bunch of cars. Plus, anybody ballsy enough to paint a boxy restaurant bright purple must have decent food. Given the paucity of restaurants and peak season at glacier National park, there was a huge crowd but we waited.... And the staff was so organized and SO polite.... I don't know how they kept their cool with such a crowd.... It must have been crazy business like that for days too. But the service was surprisingly quick and the server so attentive. They have their act together. The food was good too. I got the texican salad with pulled pork and the bbq was really nice, plus having fresh veggies was such a relief. My older son got fish and chips which was standard but decent. My husband got the banh mi sandwich with chicken which was a nice surprise on the menu. Desserts were a highlight.... My younger son got the brownie mountain which was a crowd pleaser and enough to share, the others in my family got the huckleberry pie which was Way overpriced but it's the tourist thing out there. It was good pie though... homemade and tart, but smallish slices.
