This restaurant is adorable and full of old-world charm. I ordered the huckleberry pizza, and while it might sound a little unusual, it was absolutely delicious. If you're feeling adventurous, give it a try! We also had the huckleberry pie, and it was just as delicious. It's a wonderful little stop to enjoy a meal while you're on your journey! read more

This place has really gone down hill. Terrible service. Overpriced. Very Limited menu. I took 3 bites of my BLT- and had to stop there. It was $16 and arrived with old, overcooked bacon on garbage white bread, fried with so much butter It gave it an unpleasant taste. It came with no condiments and wrapped in foil with wilty lettuce- Burgers were overcooked . Expect to pay $4 bucks more if you want a drink and sad box of fries. A wasted $100+ for a family of 4. Service: The lady that brought us our shakes was friendly- as for the girl who took our order and delivered the food- she was clearly miserable and annoyed. When we said, "Thank you" to her for delivering our food, she just scowled and walked away- overall miserable experience. Will not go back. Do not recommend. read more

Was extremely dissatisfied - burgers are way below average - and the chicken is low grade frozen out of a box...

We stopped for a late lunch after visiting Glacier NP. They know you have very few food choices there so they can charge what they want. A cheeseburger combo (with fries and a non-refillable 24oz fountain drink) was $18! This is a very average-sized cheeseburger. It tasted fine, but nothing special. We ordered the fries extra crispy and I think they did their best to make them extra limp - not good. The picnic area outside was full of overgrown weeds and trash and the women's bathroom (in a detached, shabby building) was awful. The only great thing was the free wifi. Cell service in the area is non-existent, at least for T-Mobile customers. Given any other choice, I would not eat here again. read more

Bad food. High prices. Everything was an up charge. And the advertised free Wi-Fi didn't work.

This place was terrible. Bacon was raw on our burgers. The fries and onion rings were soaked in grease. The girl working the cash register was the absolute worst. Rude doesn't begin to describe the way she was treating all the customers. $65 for two people getting burgers and fries and being treated as an inconvenience. Skip this place. read more

Get terrible food, overpay for it, and get treated as an inconvenience. Absent service. Unhygienic ambiance. Avoid if possible.

Very average and a bit pricey. This might just be how it is in Montana, but there are lots of flies inside. Food was okay, but nothing special for what you're paying for. Their Huckleberry Pie was not for me, but their Huckleberry Ice Cream (not pictured) was better than the pie. Service is quick and friendly though! Conveniently located near Glacier NP so it's an easy stop to get food and then go into the park. read more

F*ck this place. The food was fine, the prices are insane. You want to add bacon to your $20 burger? That'll be $4. Another $5 if you want fries. They didn't have water cups, only bottles to buy. I heard the cashier apologize about the prices or the selection or something about 10 different times when I was here. Went to a restaurant inside glacier with better food and prices. You can't convince me this is justified read more

Huckleberry Pizza: Don't knock it till you try it! It was pretty good! When up in Northern Montana you have to lean into the huckleberries a bit and that's what we did. Huckleberry cream soda, huckleberry shake and huckleberry pizza. The service was so friendly and helpful. You can sit anywhere you want after ordering. The place is quaint and feels like a diner. It was a great way to mix up the amount of burgers we had on our trip. Would recommend stopping here! read more

I walked in hoping for a good experience but unfortunately they could not deliver. we ordered from AI menus (which I think is just lazy and sloppy) and I ordered a $7 sundae along with a $22 pizza. these prices are kinda insane to me considering I got one small scoop of ice cream for my "sundae" and they charge $3 extra to add another scoop. this means that to get an actual sundae that fits the cup they give you would actually cost $16. it's deceiving and dishonest. the pizza was pretty good and so was the ice cream but I can't justify spending $7 on a "sundae" when I could get a pint of the same thing 100 yards down the road for cheaper. the inside of the diner looks pretty nice but the outside looks very run down and janky but that's no big deal. I would definitely not recommend this place if you like honest, good service. read more

got the cherry rhubarb pie disappointed because there were no cherries in it might as well call it rhubarb pie If that's all your going to put into it ! No service at all either place couldn't be bigger than 200 sq foot and they don't even serve you. read more

The food here is awesome!! You have to try the huckleberry pizza. Definitely worth it while you are in Huckleberry country. If I lived here it would be hard not to eat this more read more

Went around 9am, service was super quick! The lady working was very sweet! My husband got a sandwich and I got a meal, the meal came with a bunch of toast, two eggs and three pieces of bacon! Everything was super tasty! 4/5 stars for weak-ish coffee and expensive (on par though for the rest of the park area)! Would go again for breakfast! read more

Looked up restaurants near our hotel and Park Cafe popped up! I saw they had huckleberry pizza and decided we had to try it. We ordered the huckleberry pizza with bacon and took off the chicken. I added the red chili flakes and wow! It was delicious. A sweet and spicy combo and savory with the bacon. The two workers were so friendly and helpful! I loved their shirts (they have them for sale) and the restaurant was very clean. We also got the huckleberry sparkling water which we really enjoyed. I do want to go back to try their pies - they make them there! read more

We arrived after 5pm (dinnertime?) and were told the kitchen was closed because they were short staffed, but we could get dessert to go. Fine by us since we were primarily there for the huckleberry pie. We waited for a menu (yes, for a menu), and then waited a bit for our three pie slices. They also sell whole pies (equal to eight slices), but we didn't think we could scarf down a whole pie in one night. The filling was more of a solidified jam-y consistency sins whole huckleberries. The crust was pretty flaky. If you're a fruit pie purist, this is probably not going to do it for you. read more

Park Cafe - Huckleberry pie slice to go ($8) - American Near Me - Saint Mary, Montana

So Montana and the Glacier area is known for their Huckleberry products and everywhere you go, you cannot miss the signs for Huck pies. This was definitely a tourist trap and I felt we were swindled out of $10.50 for the saddest, microwaved huck pie slice that looked like someone slammed a book on it. Not to mention the a la carte ice cream that was gummy and icy at the same time, indicating it's been in the freezer for far too long. The poor waitress was friendly, so that salvaged this from being a 1 star experience. Bottom line, skip the Huck pies, another local ice cream place, Sweet Peaks, has a huckleberry flavor ice cream that was much better. read more

Each time we went here (3 times) the place was packed. Try to get here before 6pm for dinner, otherwise you might have to wait up to an hour. It's packed for a reason, because they seem to use really fresh ingredients and the cooks are good. I always ask for a surprise whenever I eat out. Each time the cooks voted, and I was VERY satisfied. read more

Had burgers and fries at the Park Cafe this past week. The food was great and Rikki and Autumn were very fun to talk to... Seems like due to Many Glacier closures this year, they have not been as busy as normal... See you next year!!! read more

We had chicken strips and they were really good. However, when we asked for more barbecue sauce, they wanted 75 cents for another little container of it. We didn't like that. We like that they don't ask for tips as everything is ordered and paid for in advance, no wait staff, but that just seemed weird. read more

We went here for lunch on July 31st. We asked what was good and Anne replied, "well, we're famous for our huckleberry pie". She was absolutely friendly and kind! She told us about the specials and I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap and a piece of pie to share. My wrap was delicious! I thought the fries were also quite good. I intended to only take a bite of pie and save it for later. However, the pie was warm and absolutely delicious. We finished it right away. I'm kind of a pie snob, so this should be high praise :) read more

I mean, it's a cafe. But, the chicken sandwich was actually really good and the cheeseburger wasn't bad either. Park Cafe - Nice diner bar seating. - American Near Me - Saint Mary, Montana

A bit pricey but friendly service and food is okay. Clean and tidy spot with a vintage feel.

So few options on the St Mary's side to choose from. We came on first day they were open, and prob sat down before they turned off the sign and locked the doors. We enjoyed our meal, but you can tell the staff was just getting into the swing of things. Good food, enjoyed the options for the burgers. read more

Absolutely killer breakfast sandwitch, came with some nice cubed potato's as well. Every window was open so we could feel the breeze and the food came out in less than 5 minutes. Overall great stop for some pre-hike fuel. read more

I loved it but my friend didn't (but still liked it.) Pros: big menu, location right by entrance of the park (great as a post hiking stop), and the SERVICE! The staff was so genuine, welcoming, and seem like they love the area and working with each other. It's a very down-to-earth feel there. Cons: good quality varies (I got the double cheese burger with fries and thought it was good, my friend said smoked salmon was a little too salty), bathroom is an outdoor unit that's very camp-ground like (but it's basically next to the National Park so you can't expect much). I'd recommend stopping by if you need a bite to eat! You'll walk away either satisfied or neutral, and definitely not dissatisfied. read more

We came here for lunch reading the glowing yelp reviews. I guess everything is all relative? The place is busy, had about 15-20 min wait for a late lunch. All one guy does is take names, set up just cleaned tables and handle the register, and he does this pretty badly. I often see a 2-3 people line at the register to pay, while he ignore them (not even "I'll be there in a minute" as he passed them by). Waiters are sour pusses and hard to get their attention (even though we were sitting at the counters). The cooks were hard working though, we could see them from the kitchen opening that they were constantly moving and cooking. Food... meh about sums it up. We even ordered the "famous" pies (pecan and huckleberry-blueberry) and they're also just okay. I guess I shouldn't expect more of a cafe near a major tourist spot, then I won't be disappointed. read more

Located only 5 minutes from the St. Mary Campground, this place is perfect for the lazy camper that doesn't want to cook dinner. We pulled up to the cafe and found tons of people waiting outside on the porch. For party of 2, the wait was around 40 minutes for dinner. We ordered the pork chops, which comes with a side order of homemade apple sauce, soup, ice cream. We also ordered the nachos grandes without pepper and sour cream. These two entrees were super filling and delicious so by the time the dessert came I was already stuffed. I read all the reviews raving about the Huckleberry pie, but I had to settle for some strawberry rhubarb pie. It was very tart and kind of average. On the other hand, the huckleberry ice cream was amazing. I've never had anything like it in California, so I wish I could have ordered more. read more

Over the July 4th weekend went to this place for dinner after a rather long day of hiking. We had tried the mexican place right next door and the cafe across the place, both of which seemed really nice. We ordered the two vegetarian burgers and the two nachos which seemed to be the only vegetarian items on the menu. 15 minutes after ordering we were told that they were out of nachos. At that hour, we couldn't go to an alternate place and ordered another two vegetarian burgers. The vegetarian burgers are supposed to come with chips, avocado and a sauce. When our burgers came out there was none of these and no cheese on them. We had to argue with the server to get basic things which constitute our order. We saw more than a couple of families waiting and leaving after 15 minutes or more. I would not recommend this place at all due to lack of customer appreciation especially with a lot of better options around. read more

The sign on the door said Take out only today. We went in to see if we could just buy a pie. They didn't have huckleberry pie and had just sold the last blueberry pie so we left. For being in the location it is, they could have put a LOT of more effort into every aspect of this joint. The food was bad... really bad. I told the fam I would rather eat at a McDonald's. Which I don't do. The buffalo burger was a preformed rectangular patty with no condiments on it. The wraps were dry. Mine had something burnt in it. The fries were the worst fries I've ever had. The servers gave glares and stood in a bunch, the bathroom was nasty. Like my god... please do something to this place! read more

$8 for a grilled cheese with American cheese is a bit ridiculous then charging me $1 because I asked for some pickles on the side is even worse. Especially since she told me it was made with cheddar. Not good. Bad food, bad service. Never again. The pattie on our burger was something other than beef. Tasted awful. This was a major highlight of our experience at Glacier National Park. I am shocked at some of the reviews below, as my best friend and I were treated (and fed) so well at Park Cafe before we ventured out on the trails. We were greeted by Ron (one of the managers? owners?) who chatted with us at length and was lovely! He asked us all about our road trip and we asked about his cafe. He informed us the cafe was under new management and had just retained a new chef. The place was spotless and everyone seemed to be in a great mood. Although, they all live in Montana, what's there to be surly about? We also got the full story on the region's claim to fame: wild huckleberries. Fascinating, not to mention delicious! Ambiance: Classic mountain town diner with red leather bar stools at the big linoleum counter and plenty of additional seating inside and out. The sun was shining, the waitstaff was bustling to oldies tunes and the smell of eggs, bacon and pie wafted from the kitchen. YES! They're motto says it all - "The Power of Pie". Service: Super friendly, personal and fast. Ron was more than willing to give us great recommendations on where to go and what to see in the park and the surrounding area. Great resource. I would definitely go drinking with these people. Food: The breakfast was great and the coffee was bottomless. Generous portions and delicious. But for sure the highlight was the huckleberry pie. By this point in the trip, I'd already sampled two other varieties and Park Cafe's was the best. Game. Set. Match! Pie.... it's what's for breakfast. Bathroom: They have a separate bathroom out back that they share with some of the surrounding buildings. It was clean and convenient. Highlights: - 10+ varieties of pie, homemade daily (so many amazing pies, so little time) - Friendly, personable staff - Fantastic breakfast standards - Bottomless Coffee - Outside Seating - They have their own "Power of Pie" t-shirts in the shop next door! You know I bought one. Drawbacks: - Not many, but they don't have real maple syrup and for this syrup snob, that's an automatic deduction. read more

High 3 star for the vibe. ...but overpriced pies for the portion. 2 small pieces with a coffee will land you $15. Seemed like there was decent priced entrees but couldn't get the two that I wanted because of them being sold out. Waitress forgot a scoop of ice cream on top probably because of the hustle of the place which is forgivable early in the season. Overall.. Great tasting pies for sure but the portions are underwhelming especially since when people come here they see the sign which has an enormous one. Low-key let down in that context. Definitely a place to try in St.Mary but not impressive. read more
