Glacier National Park area is phenomenal. It's no wonder that there are few places to eat out. So…read moreglad this unassuming little pizza joint is open for visitors. I was glad a fellow Yelper mentioned this place was next to the Exxon... definitely helped since there are a couple other bars nearby. The first night (yes, went here two nights in a row!) had salad and small pizza and my ds had wings. Second night they were slammed and decided to only serve pizza. The service was adequate... they brought us the food and drinks ordered. The pizzas are really good and hand made... we spoke with the woman who throws each pie dough by hand. Both pizzas over two nights were delicious. My salad was pretty good too since it was nice leafy greens lettuce (not iceberg). There are a couple of tvs showing the main sports of the day... in our case we watched a bit of FIFA football (soccer). The AC fan was blowing into the middle of the restaurant and couldn't get away from the cold air.

We were visiting Glacier National Park and wanted to try to find locally owned and operated places,…read morerather than the big concessionaires. If you feel similar, visiting Rising Sun Pizza! The restaurant stays busy -- there was a bit of a wait, but this is a busy national park, and anywhere you go at rush is going to have a wait. The servers were fantastic, and all helped each other out. The pizza was amazing. The dough is home-made every morning, and is neither too thin nor too thick. We got a half cheese, half ground beef 12" and it fed two hungry adults. I only wish we had tried this place before our last day! Note: this is not the same as the wood fire pizza building next door.

PLEASE ADD THIS TO YOUR COLUMBIA FALLS LIST! You won't…read moreregret! Let's start off with being greeted by the team when walking in! We ordered the The Bob IPA (brewed by Sacred Waters Brewing Company in Kalispell, Montana) which was a crisp citrus & pine forward brew. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Serve with the Greek salad that comes with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Everything paired together so well and the large size is plenty to share for two For our pizza, we ordered the Glacier Rim pizza (all meat combo with pepperoni, sausage, meatball, bacon). WOW. Hand tossed crust to perfection, but not too thick or thin. Plenty of toppings. 12 inch is enough for two people if ordering a starter/salad. Service was fantastic, our brews salad and pizza were all delivered to us. This is a small owned and operated pizza shop with staff who are happy to serve their customers. & to end the dinner evening, they shouted goodbyes to us as if we've been friends for years. Just a lovely experience. Thank you NFP

Delicious pizza! 4/5 as a NYer, 5/5 for "outside of NY expectations". Sorry, different standard…read moreworth noting. Reasonable pricing. Salads, calzones, garlic knots, wings and more in addition. We've been here twice now while visiting the area. Once take out, once eating in. First time we just got a pizza with pepperoni and onion (our go-to) and it was delish! Second time we got a margharita pizza and a Greek salad to share in store. They were fast to prepare, nice people working, and good amount of seating for the area. Salad was so fresh I loved it. I hadn't tried any pizza in Whitefish but this was still solid enough I'd trust telling someone it's worth the barely 10min drive outside of Whitefish for.
