It has taken a slide since the original co-owner passed away then sold. The current staff is friendly and provides great service. Food? They are cutting corners. Example: Prime rib served with woody, thick asparagus stalks (no tips). prime was decent /-not amazing like it used to be. Walleye, not fresh. Mushy. Fish tasting. Signature coleslaw with large cabbage butts and ends. Not the thinly sliced l, carefully sauced salad that was served years ago. I like the staff here and want to see the place succeed. That's why I keep coming. I hope the food quality improves.

This is my 2nd time coming to Muddy Waters but wasn't very impressed with our most recent visit…read more Our waitress was nice but should've mentioned when we sat down around 3:30 Sunday that the lunch menu would be ending shortly (at 4) to give us time to look over the menu instead of telling us 5 minutes to 4 that we needed to get our orders in now. I ordered an Arnold Palmer thinking they had regular unsweetened ice tea + lemonade instead I could tell they used the canned brisk ice tea with the AP. No bueno! Then I was excited they have some gfree options so I ordered the Rueben with fries...it was okay but nothing spectacular or unique. Hubby and FIL weren't too crazy about the coleslaw with their meals. Other than my son's favorite thing which was the trains passing by on the bridge - that was our fav part of this restaurant.

Went to this restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day this year. (Crazy choice to go to a…read morebreakfast diner on the busiest day of the year, but we were so impressed.) There was a 45-minute wait for a table for two but we snagged a couple spots at the bar and sat down right away. The bartender/waitress was a pure delight. Despite how crazy busy it was, she was pleasant and helpful and efficient. (I'm sorry I can't remember her name.) And they were offering free mimosas to all the ladies which was a nice bonus. Hubby and I both ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly cooked and we were delighted with the crispy hash browns Strangely, we find crispy, perfectly cooked hashbrowns very rarely. And we have breakfast out fairly often. This restaurant nailed it! The prices are very reasonable, and the service was great. Highly recommend!

In the last 2 years I've been to over 100 breakfast places around the Twin Cities...think of that…read moreas my pilgrimage. After all of those, I can say Kitchen Table is the absolute best. While I only had the Hangover Hash for years - absolutely perfect breakfast - I started trying other items off the menu. The Hot Mother Clucker and Three Little Pigs are phenomenal. But, the best of all and the best in the Twin Cities is the Biscuits & Gravy. Hanisch Bakery biscuits and the absolutely best and perfect sausage gravy easily beats every other B&G in the metro and dare I say it, in the entire country. Owen is the best server - great attitude, always happy to see you and gives the best recommendations!

We were invited to try The Quarry Taphouse, what a fun evening at a really nice venue. I like the…read moreidea of tossing rocks at a wall full of fun things to hit vs. tossing an Ax, seems like such a better idea. We got a bucket of rocks to toss at the wall filled with lots of metal objects, a chime, some Tonka trucks. They also had a fun crane that you can pickup blocks and try to stack them up or build something. The venue is an old Hastings building that has a ton of character. The Tap Wall has a good variety of beers and ciders. They change them up weekly. The costs per/ounce seems reasonable. They have the types of beverage broken down by type (IPA/Dark...) which is helpful. The cost/ounce varies depending on what you are getting. We tried several different menu items and all were good - the three different kinds of cheese curds along with the wide variety of wings (both bone in and boneless). They also have a lot of great sauces to add to your wings or curds. I also tried the Caprese flat bread, yum. We also tried a couple of the specialty cocktails, I really like the Honey Jalapeno Marg! The wait staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.

We stopped and grabbed some drinks, I got a beer and then saw the drinks of the month and had to try the watermelon mule. It was fantastic! Really enjoyed it! The hubby just sipped on a beer. We got 2 small buckets of rocks for $2 and went to the area to throw some rocks. The $1 a bucket was totally a great deal and simple enough without dropping major money on something so novel, but also really great. The service was a bit to be desired as despite multiple bartenders (and not many people) it took a while to get drinks or service, but the quality was great of the drinks.
