Half a rack of ribs. 6 meaty ribs.

Surprise! One of the best places to get great BBQ in town across from Bibens in a food trailer. I'd rate in in the top 3 places to eat in Springfield. Prices are fair, portions are generous. I had to struggle to eat all my half rack of 6 meaty ribs. Good thing they were out of their delish baked beans. The ribs were cooked to perfect tion. Smoky, sweet, garlicky and tender, not over or under cooked. They smoke their meats on premises. The only negative I find is their days and hours are not enough. They have lots more items, but I go for the ribs... I think they are the only place in town for ribs and they do a great job with them.

As a reviewer looking for all the magical BBQ joints in New England I was a little skeptical about this place. The concept sounded weird to me because it comes off as a BBQ food truck but at the same time it's offerings seem more like a state fair style. Like 3 or 4 of their popular menu items are BBQ stuff over a bed of french fries. Which is fine by me, sounds great, but it doesn't shout "We know about real BBQ". Also the first time I looked at the menu I didn't see Brisket or Ribs but maybe I missed it because they do have them, or at least they have them now. Tried the Ribs, they are small and not a lot of meat and smoked to that point that the bone is almost edible. And they are completely covered in sauce, I'm talking straight up Dipped in sauce. Sauce was Okay but it reminded me more of like a sweet and tangy sauce, not really a BBQ sauce. And the flavor of the meat almost reminded me of burnt rubber or plastic. Very different style of ribs, I didn't like the quality I got but I do think I may have went on a bad day. Brisket isn't listed on the menu as a regular thing, you get it over french fries. I asked for just the brisket and this is a weird thing to review. They gave me some heavy cuts of that brisket and there is no way they would serve these big slabs of meat on top of french fries so I'm sure I'm tasting something most people don't get to taste. I'm sure they chop it up a bit before going over some fries or something. Just as brisket this stuff was juicy and cooked well. Only thing is the flavor, the smoked flavor just tasted like a mild burnt ash. But the texture was spot on. Partner got a cheeseburger and it was pretty damn good. Juicy and tender and full of flavor. Bun was toasted nicely, fresh lettuce and tomato. Came with their fries and I got to see what all the fuss was about with their fries. Those things are exactly what I would expect at a good state fare with gravy and meat all over them. Awesome fries! Got a little thing of coleslaw and I swear this was nothing but dressing and some chopped cabbage floating in it. Not the worst tasting I have ever had but absolutely the worst presentation. I know it's kind of dumb of me to be criticizing the least popular item on the menu but this was an crazy how effortless this slaw was. I'm judging this place based on it's potential of an actual BBQ joint. And I don't get the sandwiches as most people do. I would say as a real BBQ joint I wouldn't recommend, BUT! As a great place with good lunch and quick comfort food options this place is great! Just stay away from all this stuff I got. Sandwiches and meat over french fries and burgers will be good to you.

Great food. Wonderful barbecue, but definitely a strange location. They're always busy, which is a good sign! And fast!

Black Magic Mexican makes incredible food, even before you factor in that it's vegan. The ingredients are fresh, and the portions are huge! For most people, they would be hard pressed to realize that the food was vegan if they weren't told (although the cashew queso might clue some in). The 3 tacos were more than sufficient for a meal, as I took one home to eat later. The chips and guacamole was another enormous portion. They have a lot of options to please even the pickiest of vegans or the staunchest meat eaters. The marg I had was small for the price, but definitely made up for it in strength and taste. Super cool vibe in the building, and service was insanely fast. Like, surprised me how fast. Black magic is a gem in Leb and overshadows the neighboring restaurants by a long shot in freshness and taste. If price wasn't a factor I'd eat here every other day, and this is coming from someone who loves a good steak.

They were Featured Each Week At That Time At The Wilmington Inn For Their "Wicked Wednesday" Events & They Always Got Rave Reviews. Each Week Mr Ruble Would Change Up The Menu With New & Delicious surprises with flavors and tastes from all Around the globe. And each Time I Went, The Food Was perfection. It wasn't long before Brandon Ruble Was The Talk Of The Town and Over the last two years or so, he went on to purchase a food truck for "Nomad Chefs" & Everybody Loves It. And Not long ago, I heard he had a brand new Food Truck & Started A Whole New Brand Called "The Smokehouse". They are currently at the River Valley Market & I'd been dying to go but kept missing it for one reason or the other, but last week I got there at just the right time. I even Got A Chance To Meet Brandon Ruble himself & He Was Just As Sweet As He Is Talented. It's easy to see how hard he works & How Well. A true master at what he does. A seasoned professional. Dan Took my order and he was awesome. Funny, sweet & Very Accommodating. His sweet tea was out of this world & Some of the best I've ever had. I Ordered the Brisket with Sides Of Coleslaw, Baked Beans & Homemade Cornbread. I Was Hesitant to order the brisket as my recent experiences doing so at other establishments didn't turn out so well. It takes a special touch to get brisket just right and not over or under cooked. Usually people miss the mark one way or the other. But The minute I opened my to-go box, I knew this wouldn't be the same. You could literally see how juicy it was & The meat was so tender it was almost falling apart In Your Mouth. To say that it was perfection would be an understatement. And the Flavor? Sooooo delectable. Rich & Full Bodied. Just perfect. Holy smokes was that delicious ( No Pun Intended). This was hands down The best brisket I've Ever had in all my life and I'm no spring chicken. Theres such a huge difference in the taste when its made by someone who is a true artist. Someone who puts thought, and time into all of the dishes that he adds to his menu. Someone like Brandon Ruble. I would highly recommend this food cart 100%. It Is Without A Doubt, The Best & Most Delicious Meal You'll Find & even The Fairest Price. Not Only Will You Love It, You Will Leave Full And Happy & You'll want to come back & So will your whole family. As You Eat Or Wait For Your To-Go Order, You'll Smell The Two Extra Large Smokers Going The Whole Time. The menu has something For Everyone, including Chicken Wings, Burgers, Fries & Even Hush Puppies. The main attraction though is the smoked platter. You choose your meat , IE Brisket, Pork Etc & pick two side dishes. No matter what you pick it'll be delicious. You will be very happy. I guarantee it. I went back a few days later with a friend of mine who's usually the hardest critic and doesn't like to to try new things. He sticks with the places he knows and goes there habitually. But even he went crazy over "The Smokehouse". His quote exactly was "This Is Better Than Any Place In Town". And THAT is the hugest statement of all in a place like vermont where there's delicious food everywhere. I highly recommend "The Smokehouse" Food Cart, In Addition to The "Nomad Chef's" Food Cart & Or Anything Else Brandon Ruble Puts his hands on. This man is absolutely gifted. The meal that I Had At "The Smokehouse" is only one of the many incredible creations that we've all come to know & expect from Mr Ruble When He Puts His name on Something. As far as I can see, there's nothing this man can't do. 5 stars
