It's like it's set up to do that so people won't return anything. It takes forever, the cashier gets flustered, customers in line get irritated. Why exactly is this an ongoing thing? Also every single time I try to use a coupon there is an issue. Half the time I leave the store and the coupon wasn't applied. This includes coupons procured in their own special personalized coupon book. Crazy right? Do better Natural Grocers! I have this problem nowhere else. As in NOWHERE. Just at my 'friendly' irritating ridiculous neighborhood health food store. Makes me not want to shop there ever again. At the very least I don't recommend the place to anyone. At the worst I tell people to go somewhere else like Sprouts where returns and coupons are a breeze.

We called the store and spoke to a manager. He said he would refund. We brought the unopened boxes back, paid with a credit card for a refund or replacement. An employee asked us to come back later when a manager would be there. Which we did. The manager refused to refund or replace said we should have returned the product before expiration. Calls and emails to corporate executives went unanswered. Talk about penny wise and pound foolish. They have lost our business for ever. AND WE CONTINUE TO SHARE THIS NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH FRIENDS!

The cake I grabbed had the barcode on the side so I couldn't tip it to scan it, and there are two employees having a conversation about Covid and after finally noticing me, trying to figure out how to scan it, the guy walks up and doesn't say a word and just scans it, and then walks away. The customer service at the store today was extremely disappointing. Especially when it's compared to Trader Joe's. I stopped by Trader Joe's just before this and every single employee I encountered at the store was friendly and greeted me. I also watched as another person who is handing out samples at Trader Joe's, drop everything to help an elderly lady find something on the other side of the store. Take note Whole Foods.
