I ended up purchasing a few items including one single piece of chocolate to share with my friend and it had to be eaten right away which was fine with me. We both left there and felt the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming mainly because of the older woman (owner?). She wasn't rude--just not very friendly. After trying the chocolates, I didn't think they were all that great. Definitely not for the price.

I appreciated that they took trouble to make it feel like a special experience - with white tablecloths, decor and the cutlery. They seemed a bit short staffed that day so our server was helping out many tables. He was very helpful in explaining the menu, though we did have to ask specifically to receive the full tea menu. We decided on a few teas to share - a spiced white chocolate white tea, rooibos chai, and a hibiscus cooler (iced and non-caffeinated). The spiced white chocolate was fantastic. I wasn't as much of a fan of the rooibos but if you like less sweet teas this is a good choice. The hibiscus cooler was delicious and refreshing, and I liked that they let us take it to go! Our amuse bouche came out first - a delicious pumpkin seed savory small soup and it was fantastic. We eagerly awaited our tea tower - and it certainly did not disappoint! We are still thinking about the delicious spinach and artichoke pinwheel with olive tapenade - it was our absolute favorite. The savory sandwiches were also delicious. We especially enjoyed the clotted cream and lemon curd with the scone, and the desserts were delectable. We were stuffed by the end of our teatime! While I was eating my doughnut, a female staff came to me and asked if I wanted anything to drink (from the bar for alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage.) I said no but she pointed to the self-service water fountain where there are clean side plates you can grab should you need one for your meal. While I was there, I checked other vendors (they have Italian, Thai to name a few.) Well, let's go back to the dessert shop. The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. He welcomed me with a nice smile. My doughnut came out warm with freshly glazed semisweet citrusy cream on top. Like I said, so airy to a point where you would feel like going for a second one. So if you are looking for something super light especially after a meal, I recommend you go with this one.
